I have the page numbering macro. It works on new files; however, it doesn't work on specific saved files. What could be wrong with those files? Is there any way to enable the page numbering macro in those files?
I use Corel Draw X3, by the way.
When I want to add page numbers, I only get a number on page One (or on whatever page I'm on) and nowhere else. I tried everything. When I go to Page Number Setting and change it to start at page 2 and want to add page numbers to all pages, nothing happens if I stand on page 1, or I get a number on whatever page I'm on. But only there. Am I supposed to do all pages one by one?
I remember using this function before, not sure which version/update but it worked. Not sure why it's not working anymore.
I work with CorelDraw X5 and I wonder if there is a way to insert an application of page numbering that is automatic, which automatically update the page when I add or remove a page, as in the word.I got a number through the macros but the problem is the numbers are fixed and not change. And numeracy not appear on new pages.

Coreldraw can already do what I need using the PageNumbering macro but I have to enter the individual settings for each template every time. I simply want the included PageNumbering macro but with the option to save 5 presets. If possible I would like the option of saving the presets to a file that can be shared with other workstations so I don't have to manually recreate.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have been upgrading to X6 from X5. I wanted to install a CorelDRAW macro called "Function Plotter", written by Alex Vakulenko, into X6. When upgrading from X4 to X5 I just manually placed a certain file (Plotter14.gms) into the Draw GMS folder in the program directory. Then back in CorelDRAW X5 I choose Tools > Options > Customization > Commands in order to place an icon in the toolbar, making access to the macro. It worked back then. However when I try the same procedure in X6 it doesn't work. I can see the file under "Commands" and place an icon, but nothing happens when I press the button. Maybe it has something to do with 64 bit, which from what I can see in this Forum causes a lot of trouble (scanner drivers, plugins, etc)?
This macro is extremely important for me. I have tried contacting Alex, but with no success so far. In the meanwhile I need to install X5 again..
I am using Corel draw x6 to build a new website for my company. I have tried everything I can find but after exporting to html The resulting web page does not fill the different size screens in the office.

I just got a new touch screen computer and Photo-Paint doesn't even respond to touch events. Is there a patch for this? I also have the unmentionable CC program and it half works by dragging my finger from outside the document then dragging into the doc - which is totally unworkable.
I've read Sony, Toshiba and Asus touch computers aren't compatible with that "other" paint package and Corel. What's the workaround? This is just a shame that no touch screen computers work with them.
Are there any touch screen computersout there that working with drawing packages? Or at least Corel?
I just upgraded from 12 to x5 and for some reason it looks like Corel has chosen to make the file default to only showing the page as the thumbnail. Whereas before the entire file was displayed in thumbnail. This would work fine as long as you only want to keep your design elements all within the page frame, but I don't know one Corel Designer that does that. (only Word and Publisher users do that because they have to)
View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen importing a multi-page pdf or ps file into a multi-page document, sometimes the inserted pages will all have their Document Grid layer visibility turned on, even when the existing pages in the document all have it turned off.
If I bring up the object manager, I can go through the affected pages and 'un-eye' them one page at a time. But it's a blooming nuisance, especially when importing dozens of pages at once.
I created a list if voucher numbering from 1001 to 1200, but when I perform the Print Merge, the list shown are with one decimal point i.e. 1001.0, 1002.0, etc....
What is the reason for this?
I was trying to make a 60x100mm voucher with numbering.
The artwork has a bitmap background.The file before I do a print merge is 2MB.
I need a running number from 1001-1200, so after I apply the print merge, it creates 200pgs of the voucher.When I try to save this file, it takes almost half an hour to do so.I think this is due to the heavy file size?In addition, the local print shop knows nothing about print merge and imposition, so I have to prepare the artwork readily in A3 size to print.The imposition creates a 10pgs files.I wanted to save this as PDF to preserve the color, but it turned out to be a nightmare (in daytime) for me that it takes more than2 hours to generate the 10pgs PDF.
Will Corel6 (or later) ever be able to export to a web page directly since the HTLM export doesn't work (drops links). The Corel Web program, or what ever its name is, was a joke. Its amazing that Corel work puts its name on a program that you could not open a CorelDraw file.
My current work around is to export to a JPG and then import that into dreamweaver and add the links there, then post. A pain but it works.

If I use a label type approach some rows have less data making the layout uneven (unsuitable for the project)
Is there a way to merge with a fluid result ?

It's "焗" and its read as "Ju" in Chinese. I was going to Text > Encode and check whether the word can be shown or not. In fact, in Encode Dialogue I can see the character well, but when I click "OK" and I can't see it. I get only the rectangle or nothing instead.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have been using Corel for over 20 years, and have never needed support. I do most of my work editing nodes within a drawing for creating continuous line patterns that are repeatable.
For years I have simple "nudged" the first and last point of a complex curve to the appropriate position. Now I want to simplify that by entering in the coordinates for the node.
I have tried Object Coordinates, but it appears to do nothing after I change the node location, or radically change my design. There is no documentation for it. I have searched Customize for some sort of input field to add to the toolbar with no luck.
I always have to add the information on the coordinates of the selected note to the Status Bar, so I am surprised that I can't find an option for editing the position.
i need to type a text in corel of a specific size in millimeters. i know there is a setting in the corel options that allows sizing text directly in millimeters, instead of points. problem is that i need to type in romanian language, which has these points and marks above or bellow certain characters like A, T or S and the size in millimeters that i enter in the text size box will give that size to the "marked" characters, whereas i need only the pure, normal letter to be given that size. for example, an S with a comma under it.. i want just the S to be given a certain size and the comma scaled proportionally. furthermore, i would like to add an even spacing between all the letters that i type, also expressed in millimeters. i could only find a percent expressed setting in the text properties panel, i dont even know percents of what.
how can i do this in the fastest way possible, or automatically?
Is there any way I can choose some Master layers to be present on selective pages only? For example in a 50 page document I have a master layer having a square and a rectangle. Now this should be available on pages say 1-10, 11-23. The rest of the pages should not have them.

In 2006 I started a vector-based comic using CorelDraw, made for posting on the web in RGB. Over the years I've made the transition to a more CMYK-friendly palette that works on the web, though a handful of heritage characters still have the old RGB profiles. I'm looking to do a book collection now and, as such, want to convert these characters' specific colors to their fitting CMYK counterparts.
Is there a batch process that allows me to convert a specific handful (maybe 2 dozen) colors RGB --> CMYK across a number of files? I'm looking at hundreds of pages of artwork here, so even Corel's Object Find/Replace would be a tedious slough.
How can I save the separations without having to manually seperate them into a printable file for the screen printer?

I often produce documents with a considerable number of pages which I am then asked to change after the first draft. I currently add page numbers manually in order to control the style etc, but there must be a better way.
I use a template for all my drawings that includes a page number in the lower right hand corner (usually says "Page 1 of 4" for example). I usually edit this number manually, which is fine for documents with a small amount of pages, but if I'm working on a large document (50+ pages) and need to re-order some pages it means editing the page number on every page manually.
Is there some way of having the number in a piece of artistic text dynamically update depending on what page number it's on?
