I have some 3D models, connected together with Axis and some bkgd elements that I'd like to use over and over again in different Action composites. I'd like to just import those setups (models etc.) into new Action composites. Is this possible?

Dec 18, 2012I just loaded an Action setup made in 2012 to 2013R1 and everything is fine except that the Gmasks I did appear on the Keyer inside a layer but those are transparent. I mean I cant change the colour.

Mar 4, 2013I just installed my Smoke2013 SP2 yesterday, and today I want to restore my project. From Mr. Grant Kay tutorial, I saw there's restore button once he double click the restore folder. But I can't see that Restore button.

May 8, 2012I have a clip where I have to remove a ring from a finger. I thought about using paint. But I might have to exchange that clip for a different color grade. Now, when I load paint again (from history) all the strokes I made are gone (I didn't work with autopaint). And I also can't exchange clips in history view. So what are my best options?

AutoDesk Smoke :: Delete History From A Clip?
Sep 15, 2012Is there a way to remove/delete the history from a rendered clip, other than re-rendering the clip without history enabled? Flame has a desktop function that can delete the history from an entire desktop (which would be convenient in my case here on Smoke 2012).

For a couple shots I need a higher resolution, so I matched out my original clip from my timeline, saved it to my library, double clicked and selected Modify Clip History, where I set my layering to full. I don't change anything else, however, now my In and Out TC are not correct anymore! Everything is fine, just until I hit the Modify Clip History and Apply the changes.

Oct 24, 2011I am having problem with swapping Sources in History in the record timeline. In the History view I can double click on the processes in the tree, i.e. Action or refrain but if I double click the source to swap it out nothing happens. Nothing at all.

AutoDesk Smoke :: Possible To Have A Control Hotkey Setup
Jun 21, 2012I have used smoke for a few years now, and one of the things that I find frustrating is the camera controls in action.Would it be possible to have a control hotkey set-up like maya/XSI/3DS? Some other softwares allow you to choose the keyboard set-up.
Using the maya set-up:
Alt - left mouse : tumble
Alt - middle mouse : track
Alt - right mouse : dolly
This means while looking though the lens you can move the camera in any orientation, you only need to hold down the alt key and use the 3 button mouse/Wacom to navigate.

Jan 16, 2014Using Smoke EXT1 and a previous user archived his project using the old school method; media and setups seperatly instead of just selecting the project as a whole.
I've draged the media into a library and restored that easy enough but can not find the details of how to recover the setups from the tar file in the archive. It does not show up in the media pannel at all, just an emply folder. How to get these setups loaded into a project?

May 4, 2012I created a 3D text and a 3D path. Now I simply want the text to follow the path (the text should always look at me, so I can read it). But as soon as I connect the path to my axis of my text, the letters are being pushed together. No matter what path settings I try (Look at... etc) the letters don't extend back to their original "position"

Feb 16, 2012I have a 10 sec clip that I want to track. It's a girl driving on her bike a long a street. The camera is always parallel to her, so that the scene behind her keeps on changing. How can I track such a shot? I know, that if I want to track something going off screen, I have to jump to the last frame and adjust the tracker, but this clip is just too long, to just place the tracker at the very last frame (almost randomly).
