A project that I will soon start is a two-screen projection composed of 2 HD screens.
I wonder if it's possible to set up Smoke 2013 to output 2 HD streams simultaneously in split mode - one half of a timeline goes to one screen, and the other half goes to the other.
If it is possible, what kind of hardware would this setup require?
I just update my smoke to SAP SP1 today, but I don't have the preview from my broadcast monitor anymore...(Damn!! Sometime I hate updating the software when u already have stable system..!!)
I already update my AJA driver to 10.0.1, and from System Checker software, everything look good.
monitor preview bmd intensity stretched in pal (a litttle bit), so a circle does not remain a circle, getting a egg. preview on computer monitor ok.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a black bar on the top half of my screen when i render on the timeline after leaving CFX. when I enter CFX everything looks good, but once I am on the timeline I can't se the top half of my footage. This happened when I applied aliasing to the shot, but remained once I removed it. Also when i applied 4xHWAA My entire screen gets blacked out. This also crashes the smoke when rendering.
View 6 Replies View Relatedi'm trying to link my edl with the correct clips. So when i got a green check icon , indicating that smoke have found the matched clip. But before i link it i just want to make sure that it's the correct clip. So in the bin, the clip is highligted and i double click it to open it up in the viewer. The problem the viewer split control is disabled so i can't do split screen to match that clip with the guide/offline (in the edl sequence i've inserted the guide movie). all i can see i have to link it first then go back to timeline and now i can view in split screen.

When I shift and double-click on the numeric field in "Channel hierarchy" (on the left of the Animation curve window) a CALCULATOR pops up.
To hide the top menu bar and use the application in full screen, you must specify this setting in the Smoke Setup utility, which is found in the Smoke 2013 folder. In the Smoke Setup utility, under the General tab, set the Menu Bar option to no. When you hide the top menu bar, certain options, exclusive to the top menu bar appear at the bottom right of the screen. You must restart Smoke after making the change for it to take effect.
why but it feels to much more like a real application again! Hadnt realised just how much I disliked menu bars until now.Now how do I create some color bars?
How can I attach text to a logo that moves from one side of the screen to the other so that the text follows the logo or vice versa? Can one insert a logo into the text module? Or will action have to be used?

Is H264 not compatible with Smoke?
I have greenscreen footage, where a green screen was put on a window with tracking markers. A person is moving in front of it, so you can see the reflection. If I just key it and put a garbage mask around it, I can get rid of the green and the tracking markers, but how can i get the reflections back now? Cause if I just screen the original desaturated part back on, you can still see the tracking markers.... Is the only way to first paint over the markers and then screen it back on, or is there another way? I'm on Smoke for mac 2012.

I'm trying to edit a set of titles made in Premiere in After Effects, and after I import the file (as a Premiere file) then load the sequence into the timeline; the preview is just a black screen throughout the entire preview. The titles never show up.

1. If I have a layered Photoshop file or png with an alpha channel (a still frame lower third), I see that I can import it as a multi layered clip, but what is the best way to have it in the sequence to show up properly?
2. If I have a QuickTime in animation format or Pro Res4444 format with an embedded alpha, how can I import that file to show and cut it on a top layer to animate above my video?

In Combustion, you would draw a selection and then apply an operator above the selection to achieve this. I don't see a similar selection tool function in Smoke, but I imagine you could achieve the same effect by duplicating a layer and using a Gmask via the Wipe timeline FX.does Smoke not have a selection tool similar to Combustion?

I want a multi monitor set up where the first monitor has my timeline, source window, and project window, then my second monitor has my bins & effects & metadata, then the third will be a full screen of the project window that is still on my first monitor, and then finally a fourth, 65" 4k tv also displaying the project window (mirroring the third monitor). Dragging the project window around and toggling in and out of fullscreen is a waist of time since there was no need to do that with FCP for so many years. I need 3 project windows in premiere (and I dont mean using the reference) , how do I do this with premiere?

It's comming from FCP7 and we have Automatic Duck but neither the XMLs or AAF bring anything other then the first speed of the clip. Any way to retain the keyframes?

View 5 Replies View RelatedHave just installed VSx4 trial version. I previously used x3 with no problems. I've created a new project, imported an AVI and it plays fine in the preview window, in either Clip or Project mode. However, as soon as I pause it the image goes black.
This makes any kind of editing nearly impossible. I don't get the problem with the pre-installed sample video "V21". So I guess it is clip related? It plays and pauses fine in media player.
I just haven't found the setting, but I can't seem to make the cursor disappear during full screen preview in PSP x4! Is it something I'm not selecting?
I have searched to the ends of the internet for an answer, but have come up with nothing, however I noticed that there was an ESC key bug with full screen preview in PSP x3, and having a visible cursor would allow one to exit full screen without having to press a key. Could this be why the cursor is now visible? Now that I think about it, I've always been able to exit with either the ESC key or a mouse click. Still, this is something I've never seen before in any version of PSP.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have just moved up to CS6 after many years of using Elements - so am coping fairly well with my new "toy" !
One thing has me a bit baffled:
I store my photographs in two formats: the original in .nef and the processed final version in .psd.
If I select "full screen preview" of a .psd file, in Bridge, it comes up full screen, but not at what I would consider to be best quality.
If I export a copy at 800 or 1280 quality in .jpg and view it in Windows Photo Viewer (or open the file in Photoshop itself) there is a distinct difference in picture quality compared to Bridge. The Bridge copy seems to have slightly muted colours and the sharpness is markedly less. I have two monitors so can compare them side-by-side, and have transposed them on the monitors with no difference.
In Elements, I can have the organiser on one monitor, if I highlight a thumbnail and hit F11 I get a full screen and full quality view on the other monitor.
Is this a "design feature" of Bridge/CS6 ? or have I missed something when setting CS6 up in the first place ?
I am new to Corel PaintShop Pro X4, and am attempting to enter text into a template I found online. I was successful in entering the text, and when I try to print, the print preview shows a template full of text. However, when the page prints, only some of the text is there! The text that prints doesn't even seem to correspond with the layers. I tried to save the file as another type of image to print it (all text shows then with no problem), but it is not a very sharp image. I have searched the manual, but am not finding an answer. This is time sensitive
