View 4 RepliesI've created a couple of programs:
One - that will start a new project file, add our standard drawing sheets
two - Insert a bunch of wblocked components based on user input
programs 3 - 6 all do the same as program 2, just different components for different sheets.
I can run all these programs and they work (i need to do a lot of "clean-up" but they work)...
I have them set-up to open the next drawing. But i have to type in the next command, and continue until all my programs and done running.
My questions is how can I accomplish this without having to continually type in commands?I can't run these as a script, but is there another method?
AIA standard seems to have layer '0' as a default setting. What is the line weight assigned to this layer?

I just came from another company running 2011, and I am used to just being able to click "Place from Content Center" and having it just work. Not so here. When I click on that button, I get this prompt:
But, we have no server for this sort of thing. So, I tried to point Inventor to a network location where it can find a set of Content Center files.
I also made sure to point the project to that location as well.
Still, I get the same prompt. How do I make it go away get get access to the Content Center?
How to save IDW's with multiple sheets in to 1 single CAD file

I am unable to save any changes to my style & standards for Inventor lt suite 2014.
Is this meant to be as indicated by the wikihelp (Save styles to the library in the Style Library Manager), or have i got something installed wrong.
I've been trying to import video as layer but it's not working. I have windows 7.
When I tried with my MPEG of AVI videos, there's just a white screen where the video should appear and they don't work in quicktime.
When I looked up how to fix this it told me I should convert the video so that it's an MP4 that works in quicktime. So I did this but when I try to import, there's no option for MP4 format. This is the only option on the scroll down menu.
We have just recently install Building Design Suite Standard 2014 and the tool palettes DO NOT work.
Clicking on the standard palettes that load with ACAD will not even work. We have also tried to make new ones and the will not MAKE (for lack of words).
Here is the Autocad warning it gives us:
Unable to execute the tool. Possible causes are:
-The tool is not registered properly. Please check your installation.
-the tool is from another application and is incompatible with the current application.
We are running a new copy and it IS registered.
I'm working on a fire damaged 4 floor condo project.I have an xref zip folder sent to me from the original architectural firm. It's been unzipped. Now I have multiple drawings. Each with it's own xref. I want to be able to have a fully editable drawing (in this case of a 3 story condo). I want to be able to add or delete, at will, any part of the drawing without any concerns of messing up an xref file.
How can I do this?
shouldn't sheets marked as "exclude from count" not be counted?
I tried this in both 2013 and 2012 to see if maybe AutoDesk broke it, but it doesn't work in either one. This is easily reproducible for me, a file shouldn't be necessary. Just open up (or create) a multi sheet drawing. Go to edit sheet on one or two of them and check the "exclude form count" box. Now create a new iLogic rule and put the following line into it:
MsgBox("This is the number of sheets in the drawing: " & ThisDoc.Document.Sheets.Count, VBOkOnly, "Number of Sheets")
If I want North (top) to be my Zero Degrees point (rather than east - to the right) then I go into FORMAT / UNITS which takes me to DRAWING UNITS..I then have a button called DIRECTION...Here is says:
East 0
North 90
West 180
South 270
Other pick/type
Now logic tells me that currently East (to the right) is currently set to 0 degrees (which it is)And that clicking North, should then make North (up) Zero degrees.
I click North, the button shows North has been selected, but none of the values change, and East is still zero degrees. From what I found on these forums, doing this should set North to zero, but it makes no difference.
Lets suppose I have 3 camera images and I want to run either save for web applications on 2 cameras at the same time, how/can i do that to save time or lets say contact sheet action on 1 and save for web on the other to save time or Photoshop files and this runs in the background?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI would like to see that the RGBA setting on the Text module is standard set to RGBA.
It isn't done until it is finished.
When it's time to print and save contact / index sheets, Lightroom enters another dimension.
Workflow as normal up to this point: Import (with 1:1 previews) a folder of NEF+JPGs, maybe a hundred or two. Edit, rename and export. Enter the Print module and setup (for the thousandth time) a contact sheet showing maybe 30-50 pics per page.
Select "Draft Mode Printing" and hit PRINT and sit. The "preparing print job" progress bar appears and starts to tick off images, at about 10 seconds apiece. In LR2 this *entire process* took 1-2 seconds. So, an hour and a half later, my contact sheets are ready. I could hand-draw them faster.
It does it in LR3, LR3.2 and LR 3.3. It *never* did it in LR1-2.7.

I've tried this in a fresh drawing from a simple template and from an OOTB template. They never rotate in a layout. Is this the normal behavior or am I missing a setting? This is how I have it set in my style:

View 10 Replies View RelatedI've set up GIMP 2.8.4 and it works great on my mac with Mountain lion.
However I need to run a batch script on a group of images and all tutorials for that take for granded that running gimp on a terminal window launches gimp. Well in my case it doesn't! And tbh I haven't found where I should point (the path to) the gimp command so that it would run.
So basicaly running Gimp on a terminal returns error no such command. And I need to know what path to add to my mac's PATH variable so that Gimp doesn't return an error. After that I would like to run the batch script from the terminal for the group of images I have.
As soon as you set a color for a layer listed in the layer window, you can't undo that. The "no color" selection in the context menu does nothing. Looks like a bug.
And btw. on page [URL] ...... the link "User Groups" points to [URL] .... which isn't delivering anything ("No data received").
Why would I want to select a Profile like Camera Standard instead of Adobe Standard?
View 10 Replies View RelatedHe's contructed the ships hull using a plane with the schematics in it as background to shape the ship's lines accordingly. He saved his progress butwhen he loads in the 3d max file the hull lines (I believe it's called "splines") are all gone and only the background image remains. The weird thing is, when you start 3d max and select the saved project, you can see the splines in the small thumbnail preview on the side. But when the file is actually loaded, they are gone.
I've checked the 3 auto save files but they all show the same; splines in preview, splines gone after the file has been loaded. I can't imagine that the 3 auto save files are all corrupt. So I'm wondering if there's some kind of setting he might of accidently set off?
The Print setting in Photoshop remember everything for the file once reopened like 'type of paper, color profile, etc.', but not in Illustrator. It doesn't save the information about the Printing Preferences set with the printer for the printed file.
I don't have CS6 yet, but I'd love ask if this can be done in CS6?
I'm using Draw X6 64 bit. The program seems to get very unstable with large multipage files., especially just after saving. The save icon greys out suggesting a save is completed but it seems the save is still going on in the background. Is there anyway to get the old behaviour back so that the icon only greys out when the document is actually completely saved? It's safer to stop editing the file while it is saving rather than continue working on it, but the icon is giving me misleading feedback..
