Not sure what it's called but I have a co worker that has lost the bar at the lower left corner of the window. Where it says "Text:... Dim:.... Scale:....". I have it on my computer and can't figure out how to get it back on his.
I now use CS but when I ran on PS7 the image always had information on the bottom of it...either: size of the file or veiw pct and something else...I really don't miss it but I just noticed its not there,
Many of my catalog images (LR 3.6) do not show file size or pixel information for the associated image file. I suspect this is a hangover from an import of photos from Photoshop Elements which I used in the past. The problem is that when I put such an image in a slideshow or web gallery, the exported image is not properly displayed.
To get around this, I can export the image files to a hard drive directory in original format, and then re-import them into my web gallery collection. The correct file size info is then available in the catalog, and the image reproduces correctly in the exported gallery.
I know (or at least hope) this is a kludge, and there is a more straightforward method to correct the catalog. I have many photos with incomplete image information.
I have not used AC for 3d drawings in years. But I do a lot of 2d in AC2012. Yesterday, I was killing time and took a look at some of the 3d capabilities while in an existing drawing. I inserted a few 3d objects, but I eventually deleted them. Now I notice that the UCS icon has become the 3d UCS, and my snaps no longer function as expected. Is there some way to purge the 3d info and return the drawing to it's original 2d functions?
why I can't export the "Distance 1" attribute out of thsi drawing using the ATTOUT command. I need to build a series of constrained drawings using Dynamic blocks so I can send info from an Excel spreadsheet back and forth bewteen a drawing. I think I'll have to buy a 3rd party utility for that but for now, how to simply get the info out of ACAD and into Excel thsat would be a great start.
I am able to insert multi line text into the Drawing Properties Summaryinfo standard field "comments" by using string concatenation in VBA by using "mytext" & vbLF & vbCR "mytext".
But I can't find a way that works in autolisp. This code does not work.
I created a drawing, saved it, and days later most lines have dissapear. At preview you can see the drawing is complete, but when you open it is incomplete. Checked the BAK file, same thing, and there are no layers shut down. What can I do to recover my drawing?
I made a simple aluminum frame with clear polycarbonate shields. Somehow, when I put it on drawing sheet, some parts behind the polycarbonate are missing. If i make the polycarbonate invisible, the missing parts appear again. This strange phenomenon started today. It didn't happen before, and no parts were missing behind the clear polycarbonate.
We are working on a file here and the lables on the drawing are missing. We had station offset lables in our drawings and are now missing from the plans.
i am using AC2013LT and have come accross a problem with the printing. I have completed my drawings, converted them to PDF(image 1) and when i print the PDF out, there are parts of the drawing missing as image 2 shows. If i plot direct from autocad, there is no problem with the print.
I am working on a large plant piping project and while I've seen this behavior before I've never seen it this bad.
Attached is a screen shot of a small portion of the assembly drawing in which you can see a good example of what I'm dealing with.
At the top you can see a weld neck flange that appears to be attached to air where there should be an elbow. In the middle you can see that on one side of the elbow there is missing geometry.
At the bottom is another flange that attached to air where there should be an elbow. This drawing is littered with these errors and as such is unsuitable for even a reference document.
I have turned visibility of these components off and on without resolution. I have turned on tangent and interference edges without resolution.
I have translated a copy to ACAD to see if it's simply graphical but the ACAD file shows the same errors. I have checked parallel and perpendicularity and all is well.

While working with an Inventor 2013 *.idw some of the dimension lines, extension lines, and learders became invisible, even though you can still see the dimension values and even the arrow heads of the no-show dimensions. Even when printed, the same lines are not there. 2013 Glitch?
We want to ensure that a balloon callout exists for every item in the parts list (BOM) in our assembly drawings. Is there a way to easily do this?
Currently, if we have an assembly with 30 parts, we manually search for each of the 30 BOM balloon to verify that none were missed. Since the balloons are not in order, balloon 5 could be on page 2 while 6 is on page 8. This method is often time-consuming and error prone.
It probably goes without saying, but if ballons are missed, then assemblers have nothing to show them were the parts go and either come ask us or guess.
I was opening files and autocad was telling me that some xrefs were missing from the drawing, did I want to locate the xrefs or ignore (I hit ignore and accidentally checked the always do this to these types of files). Now, when I load a drawing I can not get the building to load into the drawings.
I'm having an issue with my 2013LT. Everytime I open a new drawing I get a dialog box that says "One or more SHX files are missing. What do you want to do?" The options they give me are "Specify a replacement for each SHX file" or "Ignore and continue".
when I open a drawing that's missing an shx file I get a dialog box (see attached). I put a check mark in the "always perform current choice" item and select the "Specify a replacement for each shx file". I assume this replaces the missing shx file with the default shx file. But if I send the drawing to someone else they get the same message. Did the shx file not get replaced or do I need to do something further?
We are civil engineering company, and most of out work is to get drawing from a civil architects and add our layer on that drawing, but when opening those drawing we get the message that there is ObjectARX missing, and from that point on our life become very difficult, we cannot copy paste objects, and lots of other basic action cannot be complete without crashing autocad.
I am using AutoCAD 2010, but i saw it happening with all the versions of AutoCAD.search for enablers are set on in Option.
When ever I open a drawing from the file menu or open file icon, the preview pane is missing from the dialogue box. I is there if i use file new or when I insert a block of file. Please see attached screen print.
I have a drawing that I created (.dwg) in Inventor 2013 that, when opened, is completely blank. However, when in the File>Open dialog box, I can click on the name of the drawing and the preview shows the complete drawing with all views fully dimensioned. I closed Inventor, laucned AutoCAD and tried opening the same file and it was still blank (no views). I then closed that file and open the old version of the file from the, "OldVersions" folder with Autocad and all the views and dimensions were there.
So I launced Inventor again and reopened the offending print and noticed that the model is not shown in the drawing's model tree. I'm 100% positive that I did not delete this model/view from the drawing before saving the file. This is a small drawing and it will only take me a few mintues to recreate it.
In Civil3d 2012 when the Edit in Storm and Sanitary Analysis command is used to send a Civil3d pipe network and Catchment areas to SSA the program appears to open as expected with the "Create New Project" dialogue box displayed.
When the Create New Project prompt is accepted nothing is displayed in the SSA plan view.
But.... If I go to the SSA File pulldown menu the .spf project file is available and when it is selected a dialogue box is displayed indicating that the Background file(the dwg) file cannot be found and do we want to search for it "Yes/No".If No is selected the pipe network is displayed as expected.
If Yes is selected and the dwg file located and selected then the pipe network is displayed as expected but the background file looks like proxy objects.
I have a installation of Revit 2012 (64bit win7) that some times stops drawing dialogs and Revit menu (the big R-button) in front (or something). If I press open, the dialog only pops up if I press somewhere in the revit window, and windows plays that DING-sound (like when you do something you shouldn't do). It feels like a menu draw issue.. The R-button just never displays a menu when I press it. A restart of Revit fixes the problem, but its annoying and we all know Revit doesn't start very quick...
According to the Photoshop CS6 help page here: [URL]...
There should be a "Rounded rectangle tool" to create rounded boxes ... but it seamed its not loaded by default. If I click on the red marked position nothing happen. If I click on the blue icon I see only "Stamp Edge". How can I get the other tools mentioned in the help page (e.g. Rounded Rectangle)?
I've not had to deal with metes and bounds info in a very long time. For one project I have to generate the info for a couple parcels. From looking around it looks like there's a tool in ACAD Civil. Is there something similiar in Map3D?
