I want the watermark to be centralised on the image. I also want to batch the process so i'm trying to work out if it's possible to centralise in an action.

Mar 25, 2013I have been able to create a table, populate the Title and Headers with text. Which is all I want it to do for now. The problem is, I can calculate how wide I want each column, but it never gets drawn with the correct column width.

I have known co-ordinates that I want each grip for the table to be set at. I can't just copy and paste the table from drawing to drawing. Each table of each drawing have different textual values, and the column widths will best be sized for each text value.

May 3, 2012Any way to make Acad C3D hold the value for MTEXTCOLUMN = 0? I am having issues with it resetting my column width to 0, even after I have formatted all the Mtext to read how I want it shown. Once I close a drawing and open it again, the formatting changes that I have previously set return to "dynamic" and column width = 0. I just want to turn off the dynamic setting so it stops messing up the formatting, but I can't get it to retain the dynamic setting. Currently running C3D 2012.

I have been reading of similar problems with MText: I format the text in the drawing to my desired appearance and once I close and reopen the drawing, the column widths have compressed and muddled the text legibility. After reading other similar posts, I set MTEXTCOLUMN to 0 and changed all MText to "No Columns." MTEXTCOLUMN is still set to 0, but the other properties have reverted back to dynamic columns, so I am still having this problem. To check against this being a problem on my specific workstation, a coworker opened the file on his workstation and experienced the same text compression.

May 2, 2011I've been having this issue happen repeatedly, but not consistently. In a new file, I adjust the width of an mtext box so that the text wraps into multiple lines. When I next open the file, all mtext boxes are back at a wider width so that the text is all on one line. The start of the text is also usually in a different location. This was happening on 2011/XP and now on 2012/Windows7.

The dwg was fine, then it crashed while changing from modle space to paper space...
When i recovered the dwg, EVERY MTEXT I try to edit becomes rotated vertically and stays that way when i close the edit box...
I do not recall hitting any buttons or making any keystrokes without my knowing...
Is there a way to get my text back to Horizontal and stay that way?
I tried setting the MTEXTFIXED to: 0, 1 & 2.
NONE of these options changed anything.
I NEED to have this fixed. more importantly, i need to know why this is happening sop that i can take steps to prevent this happening in the future...
I am currently working with the latest CAD available.

Jan 3, 2013I am trying to publish to the CC a guide rail. The vendor of the rail gives me the option of entering the desired length of the rail. After that he gives me the option to choose between the length that I entered and a shorter and longer standard length witch can be delivered faster.
I want to do the same thing with my published part, but I cannot make a key parameter to change depending on the entered custom parameter. I want the user to make the next steps when inserting from the CC: 1- select the size of the rail; 2-select the type of the rail; 3- enter the desired length of the rail; 4- choose between the desired length and the 2 recommended lengths (I need these 3 lengths to be shown)
Is this possible?
Revit :: Slanted Column Meets Beam / Column Joints
Feb 7, 2012I have a problem inserting the slanted columns when I use the "Beam/Column joints" commando. When I insert the slanted column, the beams are divided.
It should look like picture 1, but it always ends up as image 2. How can I solve this?

Jan 21, 2013I'm working on a windfarm access road with tight bends that need to be 2.5m wider than the straights. I have created offset alignents and the corridor with no problem but how can I label the widths to show the variation in width at the various locations. The road is at the full width (7.5m) between tangent points and then tapers to the standard width of 5m
I have shown simple aligned dimensions on the screenshot but I'm sure there will be a way to do this automatically - won't there?

Apr 3, 2013 I'm attempting to use the Superelevation tool on an interchange. I have 4, 1-lane ramps that I need to apply superelevation to. The three issues I have (so far) are:
In the Calculate Superelvation Wizard...
1. In Roadway Type, I don't know what to choose, I'm leading toward Undivided Crowned (center Baseline ) because my assembly (as of right now) is set up as an undivided crowned roadway (with the crown on the west travel lane edge). Which Roadway Type I should choose (for a 1-lane Ramp with different shoulder widths?)
2. Moving on to the the Lanes category doesn't matters. I uncheck symmetric Roadway, hoping I can choose "0" for the number of lanes on the Left, or at least put the lane width down to "0" but can't do either. I uncheck the Symmetric Roadway and it still makes everything symmetric (it acts as though it is still checked?) I only want to show a single 15' lane. (I even tried to use undivided planar, and put both lanes at 7.5'each, but then I still have shoulder issues...)
3. Move to the Shoulder Control. Why doesn't it give me the option to do different shoulder widths? On ramps it is very common (at least in Wisconsin) to have an 8ft shoulder on the right and a 4ft shoulder on the left. How can I type in 2 different shoulder widths.
AutoCad :: Polylines With Global Widths Plot Thinner Than Those With No Width
Dec 9, 2013I have a drawing with polylines that have a global width of .2 which are plotting thinner than those with a width of 0. If I uncheck "plot object lineweights" it seems to plot correctly but the lines with 0 width plot so light (or grey) that you can't see the drawing well.

AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Subassembly Composer - Varying Depths And Shapes
Oct 15, 2012I have a case with the Subassembly Composer where I have 3 varying depths. InsideLane, OutsideLane, and Shoulder. My Base shape below these 3 shapes will not setup properly. I understand why, it's because the varying depths will create a potential step up or down situation depending on the depth of the top 3 shapes. This prevents the definition of the Base Shape.
For the sake of quantities I'd like to create a Base Shape. I could create Base1 Base2 Base3 (one below Inside Lane, Outside Lane, and Shoulder). I would prefer not to for clarity purposes.
How could one approach this? I'm thinking that I need some conditional components to clean this up. I'm not a pro writing expressions. I basically need to define the links that define the varying depths between the top 3 depths. I need to create another point and link if the depths vary, and that link needs to be included within the shape definition for Base.
AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Transitioning Between Assemblies Of Varying Cross Slope
Apr 5, 2011how to create the transition portion of a corridor design where my road cross slope has to uniformly go from 3% to the right to 3% to the left. I have the two regions set up, but I cannot get that "middle" or "connecting" region where the cross slope is "rotating" around my road profile center line to create this "+3% to -3%" transition.
I have been searching the internet and this forum, but cannot find a good explanation. There is info out there about setting vertical offsets, but not sure how to do this so the cross slope is uniform all the way through this region (i.e., making sure that if the slope is 1.234% on the right side, I will get 1.234% on the left side, etc.)
