Illustrator :: Create Image Using Diagonal Lines Of Varying Widths
Sep 18, 2013
What I need to do correctly, I'm sure the picture will explain better. I know I could use multiple masks stacked on top of each other or some similar method, but I'm looking for something less convoluted and neater.
i have a few hundreds images i need to watermark. The watermark i can do fine. but i have varying image widths.
I want the watermark to be centralised on the image. I also want to batch the process so i'm trying to work out if it's possible to centralise in an action.
I seem to have forgotten how to create stright diagonal lines. Whenever I draw a line now, whether its diagonal right away or I rotate it, it seems a little pixeleated, if thats the correct term.
is there an easy way to bend a line or text? For example bending a vertical line to a 90degree postiion.
Can one create diagonal guide lines in GIMP?... I couldn't find anything when searching the tutorials section.
I just made my diagonal guides with a top layer and drawing with a small white brush... but it would still be nice to know if diagonal guides can be created.
Literally all I want to do is create an angled gradient so that the brightest spot is in the top left corner and the darkest is in the bottom right corner of a rectangle.
I'm on the brink of insanity with creating my diagonal line pattern. I've tried everything I can think of but the pattern is an absolute mess! I want to create a diagonal line pattern but I want the lines not to be uniform. Basically I've made a group of 3 lines and then one separate line on its own, then to repeat this as the picture below. I've used the distribute function so the distances between the lines is identical everywhere. I've then rotated the whole thing exactly 45 degrees and aligned the lines to fit the bounding box in the "make pattern" mode as shown. Yet the resulting pattern is just a mess of overlap ugliness. All I want is for the pattern to literally look as it does in the image on the left, how to sucessfully do this in CS6?
how to create a new sample line group and a new sample lines within that slg: URL....I have checked what is the default sample lines width (create sample lines command):
But how can I put these values (left width and right width) for a new sample line?Sample line class doesn't have "left width" or "right width" property ¿? Do I have to create a new vertex? However I think that I can´t add new vertex in vertex collection.
I think this features is on a programas like painshop and similars, but I can't find it on photoshop, I want to do geometrical shapes using the pencil tool with soft edges.
horizontal nav bar just create few lines and copy/paste. Don't know if there is the professional pattern way. Or even if you would use it in this case.
Then there is the diagnol lines, very thing and sharp.
My boss came to me with a max question and its been a while since ive used max. he has a single diagonal line on the face of every solid in his model. I tried every fix i know and nothing worked.
then we found a site and the fix worked after reboot, for all of 5 minutes and the it went back. He is using XP based pc with MAX7.
I am working on a multimedia project using Premiere CC - a friend of mine was translating an interview using cs6 Premiere. He sent me the project file and when i opened, everything seemed fine on the different sequences besides one.
It has grey diagonal lines and no audio or visual, then all of a sudden it kicks back in? It is visible in the preview window however, so it isnt corrupt or anything
If i drag the clip shorter, the whole program then goes whack and crashes. There should be audio and visual in the grey diagonal area, as there is subtitles like shown.
We have just started using Civil 3D. I need to be able to create an assembly that will place a sidewalk at varying offsets (it is too random to make seperate assemblies). I have tried making an alignment of the back of the walk and attempted to use targets in the corridor to achieve this .
I will attempt to attach the DWG that I am working on. The Main alignment is PR-1 as is the corridor and the alignment that i need the back of the walk to follow is PR-1 BWR.
we get rasterized diagonal lines when printing from AutoCAD on that Printer in A0 format, straight lines are ok.
Printing FIRST to an PDF printer an THEN to the T520 ist also ok (this is what the customer currently does and the quality is good). Got some suggestions from a local ACAD dealer (max. details in the printer driver) but no success ...
Im having a hard time making a pattern out of my psd file below. Ive searched online and cant find an exact tutorial on what I need, and after following other tutorials, I just cant get mine to work.
I am trying to create a flat plane that is on a diagonal. In Max I remember you could zero out using the scale tool with local space orientation. How do I do this in Maya?
In the enclosed image see red arrow. The back/bottom edge of the tail is supposed to be flat. How do I get all vertices to be in one plane?
I'm using Illustrator CS6.I'm working with closed paths on an illustrated character. I have a leg overlapping a body for example. The leg is essentially a 4 sided shape but I only want a stroke on 3 sides. On the 4th side I don't want a stroke on it so that the leg blends with the body. I first thought about using the shape builder tool to merge the 2 shapes to see what that would look like but they won't merge for some reason.
Then I tried to use the width tool to drop the stroke on the 4th side down to a 0 width for the side I want ... but that didn't work either.how I can change a closed shape so that a section of the shape has a different stroke colour (i.e. none!) from the rest of the shape?
If, for example, I create a line which I want to duplicate, I hit Cmd + Shift + M and I select the distance, then I hit Cmd + D to duplicate. There's no problem here.
But if I want to duplicate the line progressively, in which I want to add 1 cm each time I hit Cmd + D, is it possible?
For example, I create a line, duplicate it 1 cm horizontally, and then I want the third one to be 2 cm from the second, the fourth to be 3 cm from the third, and so on.

I can do it manually, it's just very time consuming.
The first image has a brick pattern and the second a grid. In the first you can clearly see some lines. I do not have any stroke on the objects and no other objects on the artboard. Is there anyway to get rid of these lines?
If I do Transform, Move, 40 40 40 0 Copy it seems to just make another line segment on top of the one I already have. I want to copy it down and to the right continually pressing CTRL+D. I think I am making a simple mistake since I have done this before.
I'm trying to create a certain effect that is probably best illustrated with pictures
created by varying the thickness of lines, whether horizonal or part of letters or even symbols.
I don't know if this is even possible using photoshop to be perfectly honest. If that's the case, does anyone know the software that would be required?
Here's the effect I'm going for, maybe a bit more glow and lines do not need to arc like that: [URL]
And like this: [URL]
I'm having a couple of problems: 1) if I put the network lines on the map it looks too flat so I think I need to apply them to a slightly larger invisible sphere; 2) when I add a blur/outer glow to the lines they do not wrap cleanly on the sphere, they kind of break up and distort. Plain lines do not seem to have this problem but objects with effects do.
