AutoCad :: Doesn't Show Any Loaded LISP Applications
Aug 23, 2012I have loadad some lisp applications in Tools-Load applications. And when i reopen acad it doesn't show any of these lisp files loaded. What seems to be the problem

Illustrator :: Fonts Don't Show In CS6 Applications
Jan 20, 2014A client really likes a font and wants me to incorporate it into her logo. I installed the font and it's working in Pages and other programs, but not in Adobe CS6 applications (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign). I installed a ttf and an otf version of the font but neither work. I installed & validated the font with Font Book. I've tried a lot of the fixes I've seen on these forums but nothing's worked. I've restarted my computer a few times too.

Dec 5, 2012My color settings are synchronized across all CS applications. I'm trying to see document both as a soft proof and not. Neither mode improves the color differences I'm seeing on screen. Photoshop displays color TOTALLY differently from all other CS applications: Bridge, InDesign, Illustrator & Acrobat.
In the image below, Indesign is on the left. Photoshop is on the right. Image appears in Bridge, Acrobat and Illustrator just like InDesign.

Aug 21, 2011I need to show a clothes hanging rack in the utility room and i want the racks to look like they're loaded with cloths. Back when I was doing this with a pen I would just draw the hangers with a heavy squiggly line, I don't know how to do this in Autocad LT.

Aug 2, 2012This is related to AutoCAD 2005 only:
I have a custom menu file which is NOT located in the support path but rather is on a server drive for all AC 2005 user's to access. When I load this menu in AC 2005 and then restart, it is gone and has to be reloaded. This is happening for all 2005 users in this office. With AC 2009 we use CUI and that custom file is also located on the server, not in the support path, but the 2009 machines are working fine. It is only the AC 2005 users who keep loosing their menu item each morning.
I have done extensive searching on this and it appears to be a common problem but the thing which is also common to all the posts and articles I read on it is that none of them offer a resolution which actually works.
AutoCAD Visual LISP / AutoLISP :: Append Directories To SFSP With Raster Design Loaded
Oct 16, 2013I am in the process of creating 2 lisp routines, one that loads Support file search paths on the network and one that adds support file search path locally. Each routine will be run depending on the ability of ACAD to find a file on the server. I noticed that when I add the new directories the default AutoCAD folders get replaced. I researched this and found that using the SETENV and ACAD I can include the default support paths.
The issue I am running into is that not all default folders are being added to AutoCAD when I used the ACAD variable. A plugin folder under Program Data is listed in the original install, but it is not listed when I add my directories and used the ACAD variable to add the default directories. The same thing happens when raster design is installed. The help folder and the install directory for raster are not carried over when using the ACAD variable.
I am attaching the coding for the lisp routine adding server paths. Is there some syntax I can add to tell it to append to the list instead of replacing the SFSP list?

Dec 2, 2012I cannot share photos from my Elements 8.0 Organizer via email. The program does not recognize that I have an email program loaded. The computer is a new HP desktop with Windows 7 Home Premium Service Pack 1 operating system. My Elements 8 does everything I need except for the photo sharing so I don't really want to purchase a new version.

Jan 4, 2013When I first started, I noticed that EVERY time I started Acad (Civil 3d 2012 or Arch 2012), the MRU list showed nothing but DST files. If I opened a dwg, it would get added to the top of the MRU list. But then the next time I loaded acad, there would once again be no dwg files--just dst files.
I thought that maybe the profile where the MRU list is stored was being overwritten by a backup (maybe the mgmt here wanted to ensure the profile remained "standard"). But then I noticed that when I open a dst file that was not on the MRU list, it gets added to the MRU list and STAYS THERE when I close the Acad session and is still there the next time I start Acad.
Now the difference between my issue and the other thread (at least as far as I can tell), is that I think they're saying that as dst files are opened, the dwg file(s) get pushed out of the list. But most of the dst files I'm seeing in the list are there from before I started.

Apr 17, 2013I am running the antique CAD 2004 and went to layouts to start setting up a page. When I drew in the view port, it does not show anything of the model space, zero, zip, nada. Tried "Scale to fit", a new view port with no luck. I opened another project file, it work perfectly, just not this one. It doesn't have any Xref's that I can see, but it does have some proxy objects.

Jul 2, 2013I'm working on 2010, and I can't get the PURGE dialogue box to show up when using the PU shortcut. It will open if I type out PURGE completely, but when I type in PU, stuff just shows up in the command prompt. I even went into the alias-editor and made sure PU = PURGE. I've never had this issue before, but I'm on a new system because I started a new job. At my last job, we were also using 2010, and everything was fine.

May 17, 2012Acad 2013 recent install. When using the layer menu, sometimes it will update to show item frozen, but doesn't show the snowflake in the menu. Then you can't thaw it as it thinks it is already sunny. Also intermitent problems moving items from layer to layer. Says it changed them, but when listed are still in the original layer. Just this afternoon it deleted the layer, kept the item being changed with no layer association, then gave me an error message. Luckily I had saved recently. The menu has also relocated itself to covering up the menus at the top of the screen and has lost the pictures of new layer, set to current layer etc. I will probably end up reloading software. I am also having problems with dimensions not using the settings color, size etc that are set, but rather defaulting to the autocad default (yellow) etc, which don't print well for us.

Aug 21, 2013Our Council has been updating our school system. We have the design suite and have chosen Inventor 2013, AutoCAD 2013, Inventor Fusion.
The issue is that in Inventor the EDIT FORM tool isn't on the Ribbon. It also isn't on the add in's for Inventor 2013 either.
We also downloaded the suite direct from AutoDESK.

Sep 4, 2012I created a skeleton and now i want to derive the sketches and planes to other parts. It worked for a while, but now it does not work!
The problem is when I create a new .ipt and then I would like to Derive an other part in it. I click on the file from the browser, it puts the part into the .ipt, well, sort of, it's like a visual effect, but NO Derive window appears afterwards, so I cannot edit which sketch or parameter or planes...etc.. I chose to actually derive to the .ipt.
AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Background Mask Doesn't Show / Print
Jun 17, 2012I'm on Civil3d 2010. I have a drawing where i have background masks on most of my text - everything works great. Then I did a "Save As" to give the drawing a new name. After working in it for a day or so, I noticed that all of the text masks don't show. When I hover over mtext (or blocks with mtext), a border shows around the text (only when hovering). But bottom line is the background mask doesn't show at all or print. The original drawing is still fine.
I've checked and this has nothing to do with line merge in the pc3 file etc.
AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Gravity Pipe Crossing Doesn't Show Up In Profile
Dec 6, 2013I have a typical storm sewer pipe network in a drawing by itself with an alignment. I data referenced both of these into another drawing. I draw the pipe network in the profile view I created and the pipes that run with the road show up fine. Every once in awhile there is a lateral storm sewer pipe that runs across the road. When I draw these in the profile view they show up, but, only the pipes that are skewed to the alignment show up. If the pipe is perfectly perpendicular to the alignment it does not show up. I have two styles setup. One main one that shows the inner and outer pipe walls and another one for overrides for the crossing pipes and that stlye has crossing pipe walls turned on.
Why is it though only the skewed pipes show up as ellipses in my profile view but the perpendicular pipes do not?

The command line in 2013 does not display the user prompt for entering values. ATTREQ is set to 1. ATTDIA is 0. We don't want to display the dialog box, just the prompt. AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Daylight Slope Doesn't Show Up In Cross Sections
Nov 29, 2012I have a fairly simple corridor, however, I had to modify the alignment, rebuild the corridor and resample cross-sections. Now my right daylight slope won't show up. It shows up in the section viewer, but not the cross-section. I had this problem once before and fixed it, but now I can't remember how I did...I have all targets, sections sampled match corridor sampling etc.

AutoCad :: CTB Doesn't Show In Plot Styletable Roll Down Of Page Set Dialog Box?
Dec 19, 2012I have received a ctb file from someone else and need to use it for my dwgs - but it does not appear in the plot style table roll down of the page set dialogue box? Other ctb files are visible. I have used stylesmanager to locate where to copy it in, and done so. I have tried the command CONVERTPSTYLES in case my dwg was not color style based but I get this message:
THIS COMMAND CONVERTS A COLOR DEPENDENT PLOT STYLE DRAWING TO USE NAMED PLOT STYLES. YOU SHOULD CONVERT YOUR COLOR DEPENDENT PLOT STYLES TABLES (CTB FILES) TO NAMED PLOT STYLE TABLES (STB FILE) WITH CONVERTCTB BEFORE YOU CONVERT YOUR DRAWING.
Doesn't this mean that my dwg is already a color dependent plot style dwg? I have successfully copied and used this ctb file somewhere else yesterday, and feel I am doing the exact same thing, so very frustrated and lost. I really need to get these dwgs out!
AutoCad :: Plotting Drawing - XRef Shows Up In Preview But Doesn't Show Up On Plot

I can go back to my 2010 version, and it plots fine. What gives?

Dec 30, 2013I created multiple base views and projected views on drawing (autocad 2014). suddenly when I create base view it doesn't show anything, jumps to 0,0,0 coordinates (it is fixed can't be changed), scale can't be changed. It shows it is drawing view in properties, however when I want to edit (click edit then select the view , it won't recognize it is view). I created many views without problem, now all base views jumps to 0,0,0 coordinates....

AutoCAD Inventor :: 2011 - Added New Engineering Note And It Doesn't Show Up In Browser
Oct 27, 2011In my part, there was already an existing Engineering note.
I wanted to add another note. I added my new note, but it does not show up in the browser. I can right click on the note note > Display note and both notes are shown in the engineering notebook. When I exit out of the notebook and go back to Inventor, still not there. Here is a short video of what I am seeing.

Now I if I add another note, then all of them will show up in the browser. This is not the first time that I have seen this, but just thought I would bring this up.
This part was just made with a copy design from Vault. What is weird, is that if I go to the part that this was copied from and add the note, it shows up correctly then. Its like something is getting hosed in the copy design process.
