AutoCad :: Tabbing Between Drawings - Delay In Reset

About six months ago, when I ctrl/tab between drawings, it started having a five second delay for it to "reset" itself. Irritating as all get out. Nothing had changed on my CPU, just started doing this out of nowhere. My boss, who has exactly the same cpu / software/everything, is not experiencing this. I am using 2012 full version.
Another question, my co-worker had 2012LT on his laptop and when he is measuring a distance and take off either the ortho or snap, the text box on teh screen showing the distance disappears.

why pasting details between drawings and blocks, the software or hardware, hangs for what seems to be an age, but is probably more like 10-15 seconds but over a day this is costly.

How do I disable, remove, destroy, the image tabbing (document) feature that is anoying as heck? I don't want tabs. Every time i enlarge an image (scrollwheel) or i drag an image close to the top of the workspace EVERYTHING gets tabbed again. I want to totally remove this feature.

i'm in action schematic and if i reset any node (for example images/surface) then some parameter is still not affected. For example : the blend type and surface type and couple more are not affected by that reset function. Is this a bug ?

I'm using ACAD LT 2008.
When i try to copy paste some drawing entities from a heavy drawing file to any other file, the program blocks and says 'not responding', endlessly. So i always have to shutdown the program. I experience the same problem using the designcenter: when I try to copy a layout into another drawing, my computer gets stuck.
Another annoying problem with these files is that they are so heavy, while in fact they shouldn't be. I tried the aectoacad file command. In result the file id half as big, but after I open it and save it, again is the original size.

Every now and then I go back and try to use publish to speed up printing but I always go back to plotting one by one.
I work in a housing construction office and I have 10 separate drawings side by side in model space for house plans that I need plot separate to give to certain people. My problem isn't that I can't publish them separately its that I can't save them over existing pdf's individually predetermined.
Q1. do i just have to go through and change every layout name before or after i publish?
Q2. how do i change the output publish location?
Q3. can each layout be saved to a different existing pdf and remember it?
Q3. can i save these setting across to a new drawing?

In AutoCad LT 2013, on Windows 8, I experience a 1/5 - 2 second delay afte 'enter' on a Copy command. The enter may be used in either right-click command or spacebar modes. This is the only delay I am experiencing in any command used so far. Other than that, the 2013 is flawless in Windows 8.

I experience a delay when i want to select a line or curve in a scetch, part or assembly. Normally when you move the cursor over a line it highlites red within a fraction of a second. Now it takes 3 or 4 seconds to be selected.
is it a wrong setting or a bug. Never had the problem before. Not in 2012 or in 2013.

I have the Layer Property Manager and Properties toolbars docked on the left edge of my screen, with the Ribbon vertically between them and the drawing display. I sometimes 'overshoot' when going for a command from the ribbon and the toolbars pop-up immediately so that I then have to move the cursor back into the drawing space and wait for the toolbar to collapse before I can pick the command (more carefully). Is there a way of setting a delay on the tool bars appearing?

Using ACA 2012, I get a delay when I switch drawings, either using ctrl tab or the mouse. The ACA pauses for a moment. I also get the same issue going from model space tab to a paper space layout tab. Running Windows 7 Pro on a Xi machine Intel i5 2.8 ghz with 4gig of memory and a geforce 9800 GT video card. I didn't have this with ACA 2008 prior to updating.

What might be the cause of a several moment delay when selecting objects and/ or their grip points. It doesn't occur when a command is entered first. The longer a drawing is open the worse it seems to get. Is there any fix or adjustment that can be made?

When I have an assembly open and I right click on a part, there is about a 4 to 5 second delay until I get the context menu. The second time that I right click on the same part, the menu comes up almost instantly.
Does not matter if it is a "large" or "small" assembly. See the same lag. Here is a link to a short video [URL]
I have tried using different projects files and disabled the "Quick File Open" in app options. Neither made any difference.
Hardware setting set to "Performance". Using nvidia driver 257.21 and running a GTS 250 card. I have the advantage sub pack #2 installed.

Is there a way to slow down the reaction time of the ribbon auto hide. I currently have the ribbon docked at the side of the screen with auto hide on. next to the ribbon i have a couple of tool bars. when i move across to the tool bar i sometimes over shoot and activate the ribbon which hides the tool bar. Ideally, iwould like to slow down the reaction time before the ribbon appears.

I got a support contact a customer due to delay in opening some certain designs. The client works with a single project file to all your machines projects, being:
- 1 path in WorkSpace
- 1 path in WorkGroup
- 1 path in Content Center
After some testing I noticed that the drawings that had some missing file and fix the broken link needed had the problem of delay in opening. (9min for appears the resolve link screen) (simple drawing with 1view of the model inserted)
So I did a simple test.
Define a new project, the existing Default.ipj. And open the same file. To our surprise, the screen Resolve Link quickly appeared (30sec), quite different from the other project used.
My opinion of this delay, the current project, contains over 1million files easily. And as in the case of an Inventor file lost link searches for the file in the paths defined in the project, eventually causes loss of time behind files.
Before course, I also performed the same test on file with the option "Defer Update" and even then there was a delay(7min) in opening the file.
This visibly clear that, when using a project with a workspace without files, and open a file Inventor does not do research, trying to find substitutes for the file.
My question is:
The Defer Update should not simply ignore the model file and do not make the search, just opening the file? And also
Is there any way to set a file IPJ, with any paths in Work Groups, and Inventor, not to make a search for the file in other locations, just as it existed previously, and display the screen Resolve Link?

Delaying a rule execution in inventor 2012 iLogic. I have a large number of rules that are supposed to be run sequentially. I have noticed rules that quite large numbers of suppression commands takes longer than others, so what's been happening is ilogic runs a rule while its still going through suppressing or unsupressing, it also tries to execute the next rule and results in errors.
A way to put time delay between execution of rules to ensure the preceding rule has finished its task, before the next one is executed.

I have CAD2014 installed intalled everything has been great until last week when I got an error that I had low autocad memory. I still have 127GB available on my PC. Since I received this errow I have noticed that when moving large amounts of items on a drawing, there is a big delay in the move.

I am using Autocad2014. I have had issues with two windows7 64bit machines where using the file open dialogue (network file) has an 8 second delay to open the file. If I open using recent documents(in cad) or windows file explorer to open them, there is no delay. Moving the file to the local machine stops the delay, but removing XREF's did not.

My application, writing in C#, exports all vertex-data of parts in an assembly to external files.It uses the surfacebody.getExistingFacets method to do this and shows a progressbar to visualise progress.
The application works fine, only when it is finished, when I zoom in or zoom out in inventor, a huge delay exists before the actual zoom is done. And everytime I scroll the mouse wheel or touch my 3D mouse the delay is there.It's really up to several seconds everytime.
However when I close the assembly and re-open it again immediately after my app finished, these delays are not there anymore.Do I have recalculate something, or do I have to invoke a 'free-something' command ?

Upon selecting anything in 90% of any drawings the crosshairs disappear and CAD2014 freezes for 2sec.
It's a Dell Presicion T1600, Xeon 3.4Ghz, 16GB RAM, Quadro2000 with a 120GB SSD as the primary running CAD2014 premium.
It started recently.
This happens even if I toggle HW acceleration. We draft mainly in model view with the 2D Wireframe style.

I am using now Corel Draw X5 for a month or two, basically testing the use and procedures and transferring my artworks from previous versions to X5.I have noticed a very annoying thing: on almost exactly 5th following command I use in a certain drawing, program stops for two or three seconds, then it goes on as there was nothing.I noticed this kind of behavior in previous versions of Corel Draw when I had larger bitmaps in drawing and program did often a backup. But here it's just not the case. I have relatively simple drawings, not larger than 500K.
It seems as if a program is waiting writing on a page file on scratch disk, but there is no reason: I have w7 64 bit and 8GB of RAM, more than enough.

amatuer photographer (D50 dSLR)
somewhat new to photoshop (around 6 months of practice) and am getting used to it BUT I have a problem:
up unitl this point I have been mainly editing and tweaking still projects but now I'm trying to get into the animation (for another forum )
I have all the images but when I go to Save for Web, it won't let me change the delay at all from the whip-lash fast 0.2 seconds a frame!
It's great.... I just can't have it going that fast and don't know how to extend the delay ...

My project is 11-minutes long. There is a lag of around 10-seconds when I am on the timeline and hit <space> or press [>] on the preview control. It wasn't like this when I started the project earlier today.

On my Video Studio Pro 5 I have an annoying delay every time I press Play to preview.
I am sure that pressing this button is the most common thing people do and yet it's the slowest one. It takes 2-3 sec each time.
I have pretty fast new computer i5 overclocked to 4Gh and 8GB Ram and working with short (max 10min) 720p clips.

I've download Photoshop CS4 and running it in trial mode. When I use the brush tool for example, the delay in it actually printing on the paper after I click and drag is like 1-2 seconds. I have a pretty good PC, 2.4ghz @ quad.

On the tool bar (like where the dodge/burn, etc is). . .before I reinstalled - I clicked on a tool and it instantly opened. Now when I click on a tool, I have to hold my left mouse button down for a short delay. It is very annoying. Anyone know what I can change to fix this? The computer etc didn't change - did a fresh reinstall of cs2. . . Oddly, if I right click a tool - it opens instantly. . . but I never had to do that before.
