I recently did an Autocad course at a Educational Institute. When it came to printing out our drawings the pen assignments were already set and lineweights determined.
At home on my computer when I print my line weights are all the same as I do not have the pen assignments set as they do at school. How do i set and save my lineweights so when I go to print these are always set and are the same?
Logitech M305 - 3-button mounse (Left/Right/Center wheel) Center Wheel may be rotated or pressed for 2 separate functions. When rotated, does scrolling, when pressed USED TO PAN. Now, for some reason it's changed to zoom.
How do I change the middle wheel, when pressed from Zoom to pan. I looked within the help desk and there is informaion on Macros and other commands, can't really understand that, but just simply need to get it back to the PAN command.
We have 2005LT for kitchen design. I need to recover or find a pen assignment. The "Plot Syle Table (pen assignments) window is showing "peacock.ctb (missing)." Is there a way to recover this setting?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've edited the plot style table in the past to do things such as change yellow to print black. I've also successfully used it to select monochrome to print B&W. Currently it's not working. I can select a different plot style, apply it and see it look correct in paperspace. However, when I preview or print it, I still get yellow, printing yellow or if I try monochrome, it will still print in color.
I make sure to click apply to layout and I've also tried restarting ACAD and neither seems to work. I've also tried using the page setup manager and it still prints differently than what I select. Is there some other variable I can turn on or off that I am not aware of?
How do the plot styles(pen assignments) differ for each drawing? On what basis these plot styles are created differently for each different drawings?expecting replies.

We need to have a customized interface come up when Autocad is opened by students.I have read that you can do this with profiles and workspaces and also with loading a acad.lsp file.
In the past we have just copied the Windows admin profile used to customize AutoCad to the default profile. In AutoCad 2013 that does not seem to grab everything. It doesn't seem to be the best way to do what we need.
We will also be moving to Windows 7 soon which will also cause an issue.I want to find the best way to do this with out having to deal with the Windows profile.
I started a new computer with LR5, and it runs fine. But, when I imported my pics from a previous computer running LR4, all the pics loaded into the new LR without any tags or processing. How can I get that info without having ot reprocess thousands of pictures?

View 6 Replies View RelatedWe have a total of three machine at our office that are running 64-bit Windows 7 with Civil 3D 2013. Two of the three machines have problems with drawings that include AECC_Contours. When you try and start a polyline or line the mouse will begin to jump and lag. As you move the cursor off of the AECC_Contours the mouse returns to normal operation. I have looked around throughout forms and have yet to find anything that relates to this. Also I have disable Aero within Windows, thinking that may have been the issue. All three machines are running the same version of Civil 3D with the latest service pack.

Ist it o.k. or recommneded to have both the 2012 and 2013 versions of AutoDesk Product Design Suite - Premium installed on the same computer? View 3 Replies View RelatedI received a dwg file from my architect through e-mail. When I open it in Autocad LT 2004, a window pops up stating, "Drawing file is not valid." I forwarded the e-mail on to my boss with the same file and it opens perfectly on his version of Autocad LT 2004.
The only difference between our computers is that he is running Windows 7 and I am running Windows XP. The architect is running Windows 7.
How can I transfer .dwg files from my old computer (Vista OS) to a new computer (Windows 7) and not have them transfer as "read only"? I have copied the existing files from the old computer to a flash drive and then transfered them using the flash drive to the new computer. They open but as read only. I have tried transfering each folder individually and the files still open as "read only". I have checked the properties on the files and they are identical to those on the original computer and the flash drive. Yet when they transfer to the new computer they come in as read only. I have turned off the "read only" and asked it to override the read only file but as soon as I close and open the .dwg it is still read only. how to make these files active on my new computer?

When I generate a drawing file at home and send it to my client’s computer via email the drawing appearance changes. It appears as though the .dwg file is corrupt in some manner. The lag time started at 5 sec between each command, which was annoying, but now has increased on complex drawings to up to 45 seconds between anything I touch. I work with 3D models and it's has gotten to the point where I cannot get any work out. I've turned off and on paging, turned off network connections, turned off properties and nothing seems to work.

There's not much to it, just circles with a solid hatch fill. I've been trying to open it on my computer as I'm typing this thread. My answer for now would be to remove the hatch and re-save the file.

I recently got a new computer at work but now some of my font styles aren't showing up as they did before: the font is different and the formating is not the same. I still have access to my old computer, which still has AutoCAD on it and the drawings show up fine. I looked in the forum and people have mentioned sending the font style to the new computer but I am not sure how to do this.

one computer opens the drawing and the surface analysis by slopes shows perfectly, the othe computer opens same drawing and it shows no slope analysis but everything else. They can even change the style and analysis and can view slope arrows, elevations, etc.
