I have an issue with a drawing created in AutoCad 2002. Whenever I open it to edit it and then either Print or Save it shows Scanning Drawing and takes considerable amount of time for this process.

View 0 Replies View RelatedI have an Epson R200 printer and an Epson Perfection 1260 Scanner. Using Photoshop CS, how do I get a closest colour match between scanning an image, passing it through photoshop and printing it out on photo quality inkjet paper as close to the original as possible.
I'm scanning at 1400 dpi, what else do I need to do? I don't know anything about colour management or anything like that...
We're using AutoCAD Electrical 2012 and on our drawings itkeeps 'scanning the drawing' between every command. You select a line, it scans. You copy by basepoint, it scans, you blink, it scans. How can I make it stop? It is slowing us down and annoying us to no end.
I've already tried the layers filter selected to all and this doesn't fix our problem.
I opened an existing 3d model and everytime I do anything to the model or even just click somewhere is scans the drawing every single time.

I 'Save As' these settings as Print Style 'BOOK'. When I open a new file and select 'BOOK' from the drop down menu, nothing changes. The print style remains the same as default.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm having trouble with a particular image. The image is composed of pathways defining the outlines and painted colors filling the region between the pathways. The problem is when I go to print this, only the colors seem to get printed and not the pathways. Same thing happens with saving. That is, no matter what format I save it in, if I close it and then reopen it, all the pathways are gone leaving only the color. How can I preserve the pathways when saving and printing?

When I complete a page, I don't always print it at that time, because I may need to make changes later. I choose to "save created page". If I want to layout another page, I have to "create a new page" and close the previous one. Most of the time when I return to the saved page the layout is gone. The images I used are shown in the filmstrip, but the layout is gone.

I want to print an A3 drawing on an A4 printer. I saved the drawing as .DWF and opened the "Autodesk Design Review 2012" to perform the "tiling" print. When in printing properties, I can't seam to understand why the drawing is split in 6 pages, when in reality one A3 sheet is 2x A4 sheets. You can see in the example, that so much space is wasted, is there a way to center the drawing, and am I doing everything right here?

I got a outlined Text blend with a drop shadow. And another text with a drop shadow on top. Not too complex at all. Heres some screenshots of the problem.

i am using AC2013LT and have come accross a problem with the printing. I have completed my drawings, converted them to PDF(image 1) and when i print the PDF out, there are parts of the drawing missing as image 2 shows. If i plot direct from autocad, there is no problem with the print.

Occasionally when I go to print the file all I get is a blank rectangle where the image should be. Now the image does show in the print preview and it will print out normally sometimes.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have AutoCAD 2012 and when printing to PDF on this drawing only it’s coming out blank (nothing in the PDF). All my other drawings work fine.
The plot preview seems to be fine also as I can see the drawing OK. Also It takes a lot longer to print on this drawing. It seems to hang around for about 30 secs and then produces a blank PDF.
I noticed a plot style pen missing which may cause the problem?
I am currently doing a project for a company and I am learning autocad at the moment. The company wants me to print out the drawing on a big piece of paper at KINKOS (I think 4ft by 6ft or something like that). I am using AUTOCAD 2012 and it the drawing is a floor plan.

Before I could do it as most programs do (Microsoft word, excel, etc.) where I can browse for the file via folders. Has this happened to any of you before and what do I need to do to get it back to normal?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI am trying to convert a psd file that is a 36"X80" banner to a pdf file. In the past, I have printed to PDF and all has been fine. Today the Print to PDF fails... it doesn't give me an error it just pretends like it prints to pdf with the status box popping up for a second, then nothing. So I attempted to Save As a PDF instead this worked, but resulted in pdf with a file size of 453M! This is much larger than the pdf's I was getting before, in the 3-ish M file size..

View 3 Replies View RelatedI tend to always have a few pictures in rotation that I end up cropping multiple times when I am printing. Pictures where today I need to print a 4x6 and tomorrow it's a 5x7 of the same picture, etc. I am trying to figure out a way to save the file with that cropping. Ideally there would be a way that if I also modified anything else in the image that would also show up in the other versions. I know there is Create Virtual Copy, and that could work if I could then figure out how to change the file name so it would show that it was cropped for 5x7 or whatever.

I need to automate this such that the user enters numbers and letters from drop menus, (part number is alpha-numeric, each representing voltage, horsepower, motor count, etc,) and have the drawing set created. Reading up on this, I know I still could use VBA, but as that is going to fade into non-existence soon, replaced by .net, I would love to go ahead and create it using .net. I really know nothing about it, but need to learn. I can find lots of books on visual studio, but somehow I need to know how to interface it with ACAD at the same time!

When we go to print the drawing on with the xref on it is barely visible. If I open the xref up and print it comes out fine. I have inserted the xref to its own layer.I do not know what to do from here.

a drawing printing can now be saved so that each time I have a format A to print, it prints format A by default.
Each time I have a format B to print, it prints format B by default.
Now, if i have a drawing format A and another drawing format B to print, i have to change the format prining page each time.
