I keep loosing the company logo (JPG image) on my title box when drawings are sent our to clients in DWG format, is there a way to resolve this? Currently i have moved a copy of the image into the folder containing the drawings i am working on, still have problems has it wont even copy to another drawing.
View 4 RepliesI am doing the artwork for an album I am working on and need some help resizing the cover image. As of right now the image is around 3000x3000 resolution, but it needs to fit on a 5.5"x5.0" template. I copied the image from photoshop into illustrator and used free transform to scale it to the correct size. However, the image was pixelated and unusable. So I basically want to know the best way to do it without losing quality. Also, should I add the text before or after its been resized?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI want to resize an image without loosing picture quality but I'm not making it larger - I'm making it smaller. For example, there are small stars in the background which seem get deleted when I resize it.
But here's the thing - After resizing it (but before "confirming" my changes), it looks perfect. Then I hit enter and then it deletes certain details. Basically I can look at the image at the size and quality I want in PS but I can't save it that way. And it's not a matter of saving it with a higher quality level, it happens as soon as I resize. WTF?
I draw 2 pipe profiles, who are crossing eachother. When i want to draw crossing pipe in one profile (IN PIPE NETWORKS), that pipe erased in the profile. What is the problem. I want to be seen crossing pipes in both profiles. In red color I draw a pipe which is missing.
View 5 Replies View RelatedWhen I a have a drawing with items wich contain hyperlinks. They work perfect in autocad. Also in DWF they work great! But when I plot to PDF. The items are not clickable.
I guess this is a "problem" with the PDF plotter. Which PDF plotter CAN recognize hyperlinks and put's them on the PDF.

I'm using AutoCAD 2010 32bit on Windows XP with built-in video - so no hardware rendering, etc. I have a situation where a 3D solid that I have created looses its fillets while creating a PDF.
The solid was built using Union, Subtraction, Slicing and Fillet operations. I have attached the DWG and two PDFs - one with fillets, the other without. Both PDFs were created within moments of each other from the same DWG. Notice in the DWG that the solid model has now lost all the fillets on the edges, but they were there when the good PDF was generated. I create the PDFs using ACAD's Output | Export PDF feature on a single Layout in Paperspace. When the PDF is generating, for about two seconds you see the solid edges loose their fillets, and then sometimes return to normal, but other times the DWG changes and I have to add the fillets again.
I know about using the Print option, and also 3rd PDF generators but they also fail - plus, I want to use Output because it's more convenient. I like AutoCAD, but I am thinking of dumping it for SolidWorks (which I just evaluated for 30 days). I can't be putting a lot of time into models that loose their fillets. This same issue happened to me about a year ago, and I finally had to re-create the model from scratch to solve. It's ridiculous that this doesn't work, it's kinda fundamental.
BTW: I tried a fresh OS and ACAD install and the problem persists.
I normally leave my machine on, however if i do shut down. I find on start up that my 3D mouse loses its connection. Clicking on start driver does nothing. I have to resort to unplug/replug the usb for it to be recognized. This is annoying since this means that i lose some of my setting changes.

View 3 Replies View RelatedLayer manager keep loosing the icons that represent a function. When you open layer manager, there are some icons on top of the layer manager page, one functions as make layer current, the other one to create a new layer & so on. these icons after a few time that we use layer command they all disappear, the only way to fix it is to close autocad & open it again. Of course if we use classic layer manager then things are ok but classic layer manage rhas uts own problems & limitations also.
My own guess is that the commad "layer" which invoke layer manager has memory leak, & when it is used a few time basically makes your system works on less memory resources & the only way to fix it is to abort the operation & start every thing all over again.
When i select a tool trough marking menu it loses focus when marking menu disapears, focus is then set back to inventor. We have 3 PC's with inventor here, but only i have this problem. Just started doing this today, i have restarted didnt work, and i have tried the old 2012 version wich works fine...
Very irritable when i start a macro that need keybord input and i have to select the userform again before typing... *angryface*

I'm pretty sure there is program that automatically puts an image on each photo for you, that you choose in a folder.

i have a logo which is in resolution 300
i have to apply the logo to vaious files which are resolution 150 or 120 or even 300
I have an action created for doing that
My problem is that the logo resizes itself on a 120 res image and a 150 res image. as in it enlarges.
Its normal for that to happen i know due to differences in the resolution.
How can i constrain the logo from resizing onto different resolution images.
As in i cant lock my logo layer cause my action consists of creating guides, aligning the logo horizontal left and vertical below and merging the layers and finally saving the files.
What can i do to constrain the logo size from changing on different resolution images.
my logo size is 5.5" x 2.5"
my images sizes are 45" x 225"

You've properly encountered this problem lots of times and i'm properly being really silly, but I am having major problems re-sizing and it, causing pixelisation on my Image, esp when going to 'Save for web and Devices'.
I did have 'drop down shadow effects' on the Logo but I believe I have deleted all of that in Appearences, Incase it is the raster effects causing the problems... but even back at its seemingly basics, I'm still having the same problems.
I tried making the Image smaller using the 'scale' & 'transform' tool before taking it into 'Save for Web and Devices' and even on my artboard it now looks pixelated..
My Artboard size is 1200 x 1200 and in 'Save for Web and Devices' it says the Original Image size is 800 x 600 (which I believe is the size of the document I chose when starting my project)...
I tried Playing with the PPI in the 'Document Raster Effects' settings, this doesn't seem to be making a difference.. Infact I'm sure playing with all the settings has almost caused my edges already to not be as sharp in view: 100% (RGB/Overprint preview) as they once were and I don't think I have the original document to go back too, due to thinking the Logo was fine, before relizing I had a problem in resizing & saving.
I have tried all of the save options in 'Save for Web and Devices' but still the Image looks pixelized, even when ignoring previewer and going ahead to re-opening the saved Image.
I've spent hours trawling the web tirelessly without any result and after being so happy with the Logo, it would be such a shame to have to delete it and try and start all over again either in Illustrator or back in Photoshop (where I know the quality won't be as good)..
I've created a logo, and I'd like to use it in some PDF documents. I've tried several different methods for converting it into an image, but the image quality really degrades when I do. Maybe I'm expecting too much - since the vector image is essentially perfect - but it seems like there should be a way to come up with a decent looking image. Is there a "best practice" for this process?

This only became an issue in the last version and I would have thought it would have been fixed in this one.

I have a 3ds model of a golf ball I purchased. It imports properly into my Photoshop CC. I haven't been able to figure out how to apply an image (my logo) to the surface of the golf ball. Also, the golf ball has a dimpled surface so I will want the image to follow the contours of the ball, as if it would look if the logo were painted onto a real golf ball.
EDIT: Also, I want to keep the golf ball as a 3d object so I can animate it in a scene.
making an image that has only text and a transparent background. I want to use this as a banner/logo for my website and would like the "text" to sit on top of my site background.
I have tried several things that I know of in PS CC, but when I upload it to my website I get the text siting on a white background, thus my site background does not show through.
