It seems there have been a change in some system variable i ACAD2012 that changes the way a line lengthens when you use the grips.
I want the length to change relative to the selected grip not determine the total length of the line!
I'm guessing that it have something to do with polar tracking, if I turn it of the stretching works the way I want.

I've got to create a dynamic block for Rebar, with symbols (which are blocks) at two end of the bar line can be changed scale follow annotation scale changes.
The problem is after I have stretch the linear grip to change the length of the rebar, if I change to another annotation scale, the sybol block auto jump to the original position, not at the ends of line as I expected. How to keep the symbols at ends?

I'd like to make the line a MINIMUM length of X" (I haven't decided how long yet--but know I'll need a minimum). But then after the user fills in the attribute, I'd like the length of the line to change to the length of the attribute plus a small amount (again, I haven't decided yet how much extra).
Command to make a line change length to match length of a line, arc, polyline or circle? Could use this when making flat patterns layouts.

I was able to do this one but it seems I can"t find the proper way to do this..First drawing a line a certain distance..ortho on,click the first point anywhere,move curser to the left and click again. that gives me a line at 180 degrees at what ever length..Line command again starting at the second point of the first line..after clicking that point,I type in @2.38<150 that gives me a line2.38 long at 150 degrees..now how do i make a third line relative to the second line so that the angle is 75 degrees and a certain length..the picture shows what I am trying to draw..using the polar cordinates you get an angle based off the UCS( which is set at world) when you try to draw the third line ..that makes the angle between line 2 an 3 not the angle that I want..To make the drawing,I rotated the ucs -30 degrees..But there has to be a better way than that..

I'm not refering to which the "Reference Point".I use a bunch of artboards and sometimes origon originates from the newest artboard i have created, which is great for my workflow. I place a lot of objects using the top coordination tool.
But often the origon fixes it's position to the first artboard. Is there a way to control the origon?Specs: Win7, 64bit, Illustrator CS6 16.0.3.

A friend of mine told me about a feature in ProE where you are able to define a part and then define one of the lengths as it is placed into an assembly. For example I would define a 2x4 part with a length of 84inches. If I wanted a 2x4 of 68inches in my assembly I would use the same file but simply change the 84 to 68. I need a Reactor to Modify Xdata - Length - contained in Line Object if this Line is modified (stretched, breaked, trimmed, etc).The routine need to verify if Line contain Xdata and modify it (and works with multiple selection).

snip1 shows an unselected object in map3d, the color of which can be controlled.
snip2 shows a selected object and i wanted to know if this color (i.e. the color that shows when the object is selected) can be controlled or not?
I was wondering if there is a way with DB's to have a line "follow" or "grow" with the content/value length of an attribute. Maybe some method of linking the attribute width to length of the line? Essentially, it would work just like turning on the underline setting when typing in mtext editor (or any program with an underline option for that matter), expect that the line could be placed anywhere, and would not have to reside directly below the text.
