I was under the impression that you could search mult ileader text with quick select, but 'contents' or some variant does not seem to be an option.
Tell me the easiest way to find a multileader with specific text (including the wildcard)? I expect it can be done with quick select or filter but can't get it happening.
Lightroom 4.2 – the situation is this, I have a number of pictures of group shots with many people. I tag each person in each photo. I show my photos to these people and they would like a print of photos with them in it. I am an amature photographer currently located in India where most people have no cameras, so I normally oblige if someone wants my of them pictures printed. On one such occasion I took a week long trip with some friends.After showing them the pictures I tagged “Print for Raju”, “Print for Priya”, “Print for Varun”. The problem arises now when I try to search keywords in the “contains all” section, “print for varun” doesn’t do an exact search. Rather if Raju wanted a picture of Varun printed, that picture would have the tag “Varun” and “print for Raju” and which would make the photo included in my search “print for varun” even if varun doesn’t want the picture.
Is there a way to search EXACTLY what I type? If my picture has 15 tags, “contains all” will search all those tags and if it can piece together the three words I am searching for out of all of the tags, it will reveal results inconsistent with my desires.I realize now that I could use collections instead of tags for compiling pictures to print for people.
I am using autocad lt 2010..I am labeling items in my drawings and the text looks different in some of the leaders. When i check the properties both leaders have all the same properties that i feel are relevant.

For example when I am making the block I would like to put some descriptive text that may say "Post top insert connected to haboe pin"
After the block is compelted and placed into a new drawing I would then select the multi leader option and then it would automtically fill in the text. (from the pre-defined description)

I have multiple closed areas that i want to show the sq ft. Now i use the command multileader then click to insert a feild.
Select object then area. Now i have a leader with text. Can i extract the text to a table or spreadsheet. Or approach this differently. I use autocad lt 12
I am trying to circle one of the letters and each will receive a number sequence afterwards for the comm addresses (is what I want to do anyway). This is a gov project so I have to ensure everything is addressed properly.
Circling the prefix would make this look ideal but I don't know if there's a way to do it. I tried looking but couldn't find a way to do it.
The only way I could think to do it is do it manually with attdef and create a defined block with the prefix area already circled.

I have a question in regards to using Multileader text. Tolerance.jpg
The guy who used to work here made this text with a tolerance to a radius measurement. The tolerance is smaller ( no problem with that), but also adjusted to the top of the line.
I have a dwg template that has a Multileader Style that uses Annotative text. When I changed a viewport to a different scale....from 1"=1' to 3/4" =1', the text is not appearing to scale. It's very large. The Mtext changed to the correct scale but not the Multileader text. Where do I need to make a change?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm looking for a way to convert leader and text that is separate into a multileader where the text is attached to the leader. We just updated to new standards using the multileader and all the old stuff is not attached.
I'm using AutoCad 2009.
When I try to create a multileader the text size is throwing me off. I draw the arrowhead location and landing with no problem, then the text box pops up. As I am typing the text into the textbox it shows up on the screen as if it was a text height of about 5, however it is actually 0.18. As soon as I click off the text box to complete the multileader the text shrinks down to the actual size of 0.18.
I want the height to be 5 but when I change it to 5 the text box shows up as huge, like it is about 200 or something even though it is actual 5. The textbox takes up most of the screen, as soon as I click of the text box to complete the multileader it shows up as a normal height of 5 and looks correct. This is so annoying. Multileader is the only tool that does this. A simple multiline text box works fine; as I am entering the text it is the same size the entire time, visually and actually.
I have noticed on several drawings that the multileaders change themselves when the drawing is closed and opened again. I put the multileaders in, they look fine, and when I close and open the drawing the multileader has extended itself across my text. If I edit it it fixes itself but it 'breaks' itself again once I close and open.

I have been trying to get this feature in the Multileader style manager and I could not find it in order to avoid to set up background mask every time I create a Multileader
I use LT 2010 and have defined a multileader style which is annontative. When i use this each time i have to make he text annotative and set the height even though it uses the right annotative text style.

The leader is justified to the left of the text. If I drag the position of the leader head to the right hand side of the text, the leader still starts from the left hand side of the text (goes at the bottom of the text) so how would I justify the leader position of a multileader to the right hand side of the text?
I had a quick look in the properties pane earlier although am fairly busy and it is only a trivial issue.
I have a Multileader Style and have the Mtext to come in with "Underline top line". The text sits right where I want such as EXIST. 24 RCP but when I enter something with an inch or foot symbol such as EXIST. 24" RCP the text will end up sitting right on the leader line. I don't see where I can set an offset for the Mtext coming in with the leader. What can I do to make this change?
View 4 Replies View RelatedActually We are trying AutoCAD 2010 and i have a question about multileader i cannot find in the manual.we are used to set a bright background mask under our text (including Mtext, Qleader, Dimensions) this way the printed text can be seen much better in dark area.
Now i'm am upgrading from AutoCAD 2007 and discovering Multileader (and i cannot find the Qleader button on the ribbon) so i conclude the new "standard is multileader", this is annoying because i cannot find anywhere how to put text mask background inside text in mleader. any option available? i would like to begin to use this function, but the text background is mandatory here.
I have recently converted mtext to multileader text & i thought it was causing some issues but now im not so sure. Some of my users are experiencing a long time to regen & it has caused some peoples computers to freeze up. Is there a setting or a variable that could be causing this? I am not sure if this is an issue with the multileaders or with autocad release 13 or 14 in general. I had the users turn regenauto off until i can find a solution.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI would like to use the entmod method to rotate the text in a Multileader object. Reading the DXF code tells me the dotted pair of 42 seems to be the rotation angle, but entmoding that does nothing. Obviously I don't know how to modify this complex object.

All the multileaders are on layers with a suffix of "-elev".

View 9 Replies View RelatedI am brand new to Inventor and I am being given the seemingly simple task of finding the tooling files that needs to be checked for correction on account of parts manufactured out of tolerance. The plotted drawings I'm given has text on in that can find the files, but the drawings are huge. Is there a way to find text like I've been doing when given the similar task in Autocad? I see no edit menu in Inventor.

"Find" command gives me a dialogue box. Then everything falls apart.(program stops). Have not found any samples except VBA and lisp files. I want to use only "script" files.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI am new to VBA for Autocad and have basic knowledge of Autocad, but have experience with VBA with EXCEL. I am trying to search for text written on to a drawing that has been written as plain text. There is no table. I am writing code to open each drawing in the file as a for each next loop and then find text, then copy text to a table cell, in a table set up within the loop statement. Then I intend to transfer the data to Excel. When I copy the text into the cells of the table and transfer to Excel, the text does not transfer. Is there something I need to do to re-format the text copied straight from the drawing into the table cell. The drawngs have been produced by some external drafting service provider, most likely in India. The functionality of Autocad has not been used and therefore, there are no tables. The text titles, sub-titles etc... are just basically text with lines drawn around them, to simulate a table that looks like a table but are infact not.
My main problem is copying the plain text (titles, sub-titles, references etc...) into a table cell for export to Excel. Any knowledge of copying Autocad plain text to Autocad table cells
I have many pictures (about 10'000). Now i need a search (smart search) with pictures where only my mother (is marked)
On all my pictures each person is tagged. For my mother the Person Tag is called "mother"
I created a saved search with the criteria Person include "mother". The problem now is that also pictures are shown with my mother and other persons. But i would like only pictures from my mother without other persons. Something like... "Person is mother and not person "sister" and not person "friends" etc.
