AutoCad :: Dsiplay Arc-degrees With Minutes And Seconds In 2011 For Mac
Oct 31, 2011
I would like to know, whether there is a way for diplaying arc-degree values not only in whole degrees but also including minutes and seconds. Couldn´t find a way to define this...
I am using AutoCad 2011 for Mac, Version 18.1.49.62, on a MacbookPro 2,1 (2,33 GHz, 2GB RAM; 17")
By the way, how do I create a signature for postings in here?
How do I get the export parcel ananlysis to show degrees minutes and seconds instead of the default decimal degreees. My direction settings are set to DMS, but I can't see where to change arc deltas...
I'm using civil 3d 2008 and trying to lable my pavement radius with Line and Curve Label but the delta setting is only in decimal, how do i get it to read degrees, minutes and seconds.
I am having an issue with an external reference. It is basically a 3D drawing of a few trusses with truss bracing installed. I include it with almost every set of drawings. Problem is it often causes my AutoCAD to lock up for 30 seconds to 10 minutes. The problem occurs when switching from paper space to model space or when I load the drawing file.
I'm scultping a mesh of 1.8 million and everything is fine and smooth. After 3 or 4 minutes the program starts lagging badly to the point it is not usable. If I leave it idle for 10-15 minutes and resume it's fine again, for another 3 minutes. If I close the program and re-open it (as soon as it starts lagging) the lag persists. If I reboot it's fine (for 3 minutes of course).
I've tried changing the graphic's card driver (currently latest nvidia), changing the features in the nvidia control panel to min, and also the ones in mudbox. To be honest I don't think it's the graphic's card fault.
I thought it had something to do with the memory (leakage maybe?), so I did some tests but the working set size is stable at 300K and the virtual memory slowly goes up to 390K where it stops (this during the 3 minutes of sculpting).
I realize with mb 2012 there will be little interest in solving the old version's problems but I reckoned I'd give it a last shot. It's also a student edition so I can't upgrade. Here's my settings
OPERATING SYSTEM Name: Microsoft Windows 7 Professional Version: 6.1.7600 Service Pack: 0.0 Architecture: 64-bit Registered User: Alessandro Language: 1033 Domain Role: 0 Total Physical Memory: 4026 MB Total Virtual Memory: 8388607 MB
Autocad freezes for a few seconds every 30-60 seconds. it did this on my previous full autocad 2011 and now on 2012. i have also had a reinstall. it also does it on the other users computers in the office and also those on LT.
the freeze is rondom. it can be triggered by commands, escape button, panning arround the drawing. The problem occurs periodically for say 1 day every few days autocad will have pauses. But other days its fast with no problems.
i have tried all the usual things for slow down. purge, audit, layerdlgmode. I do not think it is general slow down.
Currently we change our printing equipment, Kyocera to HP.The problem is that before printed instantly (in seconds) and now it takes 20 minutes to 45 minutes.
For example:
1. - A 2D file with 655 KB they send to print and goes to the print queue with a weight of about 40 MB.
2. A 2D file with 2MB send it to be printed and the print queue with a weight of about 40 MB.
HP 9050 with PCL6 Universal Printer Driver, to which was added more memory and hard drive and still the same.

I have prepared an animation which is 50 seconds long. Now, i just want to render that animation, but i couldn't.
The problem is that if i select "Entire Animation" option for the time range, and click the "Render" button, i obtain just an image rendered (1 frame) and if i try to write the time range manually by selecting the "Specified Time Range" option, i've realized that it is not allowed to specify a value greater than 30 secs. When i write "30.1" for instance, the forecolor of the input box turns red, and a message appears if i click the "Render" button, saying "Invalid Expression!"
"Help" says, "You can adjust any value in the input box.", however.
I've solved the problem by making two seperate animations and merging them by using an other video editing software, but i didn't satisfy the topic. Is there a limitation due to "something" or am i doing something wrong?
I am using Autocad2014. I have had issues with two windows7 64bit machines where using the file open dialogue (network file) has an 8 second delay to open the file. If I open using recent documents(in cad) or windows file explorer to open them, there is no delay. Moving the file to the local machine stops the delay, but removing XREF's did not.
We have 10 MB DWG file containing Electrical network Map with 25,000 customer numbers as block attributesIn AutoCAD 2013 LT the searching of above block attributes using “FIND” command is very very slow (almost 2 to 3 minutes to perform the search)Also the closing of “FIND” windows takes lot of time“FIND” command was working fine in earlier version of AutoCAD 2008 in same computers (Dual core PC, 2 Ghz, 2 GB RAM)
I have an assembly I've been working on for a while. It was fine until after opening it one day, any changes I make cause inventor to freeze up for several minutes before completing whatever it is that I was trying to accomplish. Most of the changes are with constraints (adding parts and constraining them or changing constraints that were already in place), but I even tried to just rotate a part and Inventor locked up. I'll get the green loading bar at the bottom right corner, and it will run through a couple of times before it stops. The freezing seems to be tied to this assembly only, but I'm trying to find any other way to fix the problem before having to completely restart the assembly. I've worked with bigger assemblies before and have never run into this problem.
I've been generally having trouble with Civil 3D 2012 taking a long time to do tasks. One that takes quite a while is if I drag a Cogo Point Label. As stated it takes about 75 seconds. It will move to where I drag it immediately but then the program is unresponsive for a minute and 15 seconds.
In the past 4 days I've repaired C3D, tried 4 or 5 different versions of the display driver and did a windows update. A lot of commands, specifically Civil 3D commands, are very slow. Does this ring any bells?

Using acad 2010,I'm attaching an XREF to my drawing,But it comes rotated, I saw that in the xrefed drawing the wcs isrotated.I guess if I'll set it to pyre 90 degrees ill get it fixed.
I have a 16GB Raster that we use for Design/Proposal purposes. Is there anything I could do to potentially improve load time or is this something I'll just have to live with?
Needed to rotate my plan 180 degrees. So I typed in UCS enter then z enter then 180 enter and then plan enter. My plan rotated and it looked fine. I noticed my crosshairs where now green and red. I needed to add more things to my drawings but the lines I was drawing do not look straight - they look bent and the ucs icon doesnt look square. I attached my drawing for you to see what I am talking about
