Photoshop :: Only Print One Item At A Time
May 28, 2012Bit of a Photoshop novice here, use it for DVD covers and labels. I have been using CS3 previously but upgraded to CS5.5 last year. The thing is on CS5.5 I can only print one page at a time even when I input say 20 copies to be printed, only one will print. That goes for the regular printer for printing covers and the disc printer.
I can open CS3 up and right away it will print however many I ask it to.
Is there something I am missing? Something so painfully obvious that it is staring me in the face but I am just not seeing it?

Apr 30, 2013I have a problem with selecting a solid hatch in autocad 2014 or 2012. from some reason when I click in random place on top of the hatch it always select it self even if it's not highlighted. It causes a problem when i need to select group of item which are on top of the hatch with the selection box. I did not have this problem in previous version. i also find it very strange that in different drawing in the same autocad version that problem do not exist. is there any variable to be set to solve that issue?

Oct 15, 2013Recently upgraded to GIMP 2.8.6 and trying to select foreground item to use on different layer. Not working as I expected. Viewed demo on YouTube which indicated the last step or two would create a new layer and paste selected foreground on it.
When I attempt use the lasso tool, go over foreground with big brush and hit Enter, the foreground is selected but there is no new layer. I tried with no Alpha channel and tried making one before starting Foreground Selection Tool. Neither way seems to work. Am I wrong in understanding how the tool works, or am I leaving something out? Do I need to download a third-party Foreground Selection Tool? The video on YouTube is two years old but it seems to be talking about a "new" feature in GIMP.

Jan 31, 2013I'm working on something where I had the text conform to a curve. Now I would like to make the curve path in visible, and I was able to search for instructions on how to do that except that I'm finding them mystifying. I read "you can select a single item inside a group with Ctrl click," but when I go to the group in the layers gallery, the text and curve are treated as one item, and I see no way to separate the two.

If I don't key every bone myself, then bones I missed on frame one will become the same as the ones on frame "whatever". So I have to close it all down and hope when I reload AA it works. 9 out of 10 times it does. But this is a pain to do when ever you need to add detail stuff. Aug 2, 2011I note that from time to time I can't see the counter and this is quite an annoyance. When the invisible pointer hover over or passes over an object, the latter will highlight as usual. I have to close and restart the drawing each time due to this issue. Is there an explanation for it, even a solution to prevent this from happening?
NOTE : This is limited to the drawing area only. I can see the pointer in the menu/toolbar area and outside autocad but not in the drawing area.

Lightroom :: How To Change Capture Time Of Multiple Photos To Specific Time
Feb 2, 2014I'm trying to change "capture time" of multiple photos to a specific time.
I know that there is "Edit Capture Time" feature under Metadata. But when I try to edit multiple photos, it says that "Modify the capture time stored in the selected photos by entering the correct time adjustment for the photo displayed to the left. Other photos (but not vidieos) will be adjusted by the same amount of time". And it really does.
For example,
If A file's capture time is 1/11/2011
B file's capture time is 1/11/2012
C file's capture time is 1/11/2013
I would like to change their capture time to 1/11/2014. All the three files.
But the current "Edit Capture Time" feature of Lightroom just adds three years to each file like this:
A file's capture time -> 1/11/2014
B file -> 1/11/2015
C file -> 1/11/2016
So their capture times remain as different ones. And this is not I want...
I've googled a lot and tried several programs other than lightroom as well, but the "Capture time" recognized by lightroom could not be changed by other programs.

May 15, 2008Right now, when i click one object and then another, the first object becomes deselected. Holding shift is the only way for me to select multiple lines right now (other than dragging of course) but that's not what I'm used to and it annoys me a lot. At first everything is fine but then after a while it does this without me changing any options at all.

Jul 27, 2013I have been trying to figure out if I can make capture time changes to adjust for time zone errors or the daylight saving time mistakes where the capture time in the Metadata panel is off by 1 hour or so, and then have these adjustments saved permanently to the original files (master photos). This works for JPEG files and it also works for DNG files (after converting from CR2 to DNG). But it doesn't seem to work for CR2 files directly. If I used the "Save Metadata to file" option from the Metadata menu I might just get sidecar XMP files.
Then I found this option "write date or time changes into proprietary raw files" in the Catalog Settings. This seems about right. But what does it do? I tried enabling that, created a new catalog and then imported some new CR2 files. I then changed the captured time and tried the Save Metadata to file option. It still spits out these sidecar files. It doesn't actually write this to the CR2 files.
Or does it? Perhaps I am not seeing it in Windows Explorer? Like IPTC vs. EXIF? I'm not sure Windows reads both. These are like different types or sections of metadata information about a file. So I just wonder what the benefit or consequence is of having this option enabled? Whatever it is, it is not very apparent. And as you can see from the screenshots above the capture time has not changed (not been saved) when you look at the file in Windows Explorer. Any changes are held in the XMP sidecar. Even thou I have enabled this EXIF option in Catalog Settings.

Jun 17, 2011I am walking through someone else code in order to make sure I understand some principles (inserting blocks via a jig) and I cam upon a couple of lines that I do not understand:
space.AppendEntity(br)tr.AddnewlyCreatedDBObject(br, True)
space is the blocktablerecord for the current space and tr is the active transaction.
Here is what I don't get: If I append the entity to the space in the blocktablerecord inside of the transaction why do I also need to add this newly created object to the transaction with the AddnewlyCreatedDBObject method as well?
AutoCad 2D :: Changing Layer Of Item
Oct 26, 2011I am currently using AutoCAD 2010. and I am having issues with where I am able to change the layer of an item. I have my panel tiles shown at the top of the screen which include the tile for layer options. I have in the past been able to select (let's say) a line and change what layer it is one. (example changing the property of the line from layer 0 to layer A-WALL-EXT).
Recently however I have not been able to perform this action through the layer options at the top of the screen, yet I seem to have to open the Properties Palette and perform the layer change there.
I included a screen shot showing the panel on the top which includes the layer options and the properties palette that I must now work from to make any changes.
AutoCAD LT :: Rectangular Array Item Count?
Dec 13, 2013I was working in AutoCAD LT and wanted to report on the number of items in a rectangular array, but cannot seem to find such a variable. In the polar and path arrays there is an object count, but don't seem to be able to find the same field for the rect. array. There must be some field for it, because when I shift over to standard AutoCAD I can get the information from the Data Extraction tool.

I can also create a sketched symbol for this, but it doesn't appear that they would accept it either.
