I have a drawing that I converted to pdf for a client and there are a few lines missing that appear in the drawing. Here is screenshot of pdf and also a screenshot of drawing that clearly shows the lines in corners. HIDEPRECISION set to 1 didn't work and all objects are on same layer.
View 3 RepliesWhen I plot part of a large detailed drawing about 10% of the lines and text is missing. I'm using a Konica 7135/IP-423 PS laser printer. Happens if I print any method and shows the entities missing in print preview too. They seem to be in the same layer but not all of the entities in that layer are missing. It's in color 30 and changing the color didn't work either.
I set hide precision = 1 that didn't work either. I'm plotting in model space.

In hiden lines configuration, when I am plotting my drawing, the tangent lines of 3D cylinders (this is a pipes drawing) are missing. I have tried many options to solve that problem: paper plot , pdf plot, high pdf resolution plot, small size drawing plot, changed the thickness of the lines, change the color of the lines, plot with other computers... I did not find any solution and I have to send my drawings to a customer. In any configurations, the lines appears but others disappears. Even in the preview plot, lines are missing.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI created a profile showing original ground and included superimposed profiles and an offset of the og line. Now when I open the drawing, the profile lines are gone. The grid is there, all of the profiles are listed under the alignment but they are not showing up. All of the styles are on and I've turned all layers on. I've tried to regain all and recover the drawing but the profile lines are not showing in the grid.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have Acad2013 installed on my computer. When I received a Acad Civil 3D dwg I could open it and see all (contour lines, etc.). Later I installed an object enabler Civil 3D (Civil3D_2013OE_64Bit.exe) cause Acad2013/Acad Civil 3D issues onto my computer and now when I open the same Civil dwg in Acad2013 I am missing the contour lines.
View 4 Replies View RelatedIt appears to be an error with swing lines for double doors when an elevation or section view from an AEC model is generated. Only one out of the two door leafs shows swing lines in any event. Could this be a legacy error after the hotfix re: hidden line projection error on elevations and sections? I applied the AecCore.crx fix yesterday and then became aware of the problem with the swing lines.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a template IDW that i use for bearings. When I opened it today I noticed that two of the dimension lines were missing. The dimension and arrows are there. I tried deleting them are recreating them with the same result.
The interesting thing is, when I created the dim above the part it was fine, when I dragged it below the part the lines went away. After that no matter were I moved it the lines would not reappear.
I installed SP1 a while ago and just now installed the update to SP1 (DL20857064.zip). It did not fix the problem.
I am using autocad 2013 on Mac and plotting to hp designjet 510. Lines are always missing when I print especially medium to thin lines or hidden lines or for example hatch tile lines. I use the plotter also on a pc and there are no problems at all. I changed the thickness of my lines in ctb and still have lines missing. I change percision to 1 and same thing. If I print draft, normal or best I still have problems. I know how to spool and use in built memory on pc but can not find something similar on the mac and dont know if that will work, as i printed same drawings from pc. It seems that when there are close lines together or dense lines in an area, it just skips them.

View 9 Replies View RelatedWhen I use the built-in dwg to PDF for publishing multiable layout tabs I somtimes get extra and/or missing lines and objects on the PDF. When in model space no extra lines a present or missing. Everything is where it need to be. Same goes when a review the drawing in layout before I publish to PDF.
When I publish to paper its fine, no problems.
Got a part from our vendor. When I place this in an idw, some of the lines are missing.
In the model, there are no surfaces. None of the solids failed on the import. No problems appear in the model browser.
First tried turning on Tangent edges in the idw. No joy there.
When I right click on the view in the idw and select "Include All Surfaces", the edges are shown while the view is computing, but after it computes, the edges are gone again. The .step file that was sent to me is 10MB and the ipt is 32MB.

At the begenning I was thinking that it was just to RMB and select show hidden edged in my drawing but in fact not.

I tried to display the missing part in a separate drawing and it's OK.
I use Inventor 2011.
I have put several drawings into the Publish> DWG>>> PDF mode.
The PDF comes out missing little bits of border lines around circles and elipses as well as some bleeding of colors.
I'm using Photoshop CS2 to draw using the pencil Tool.
When a line drawing is finished and zoomed in and out, at certain magnifications, some of the lines disappear.
I tried different monitors and the problem persists - so it's not the monitor.
I genereate the inital image in AutoCAD, export it as an .eps file then format the image using Illustrator CS5. The files are then placed into an ExCel spreadsheet where the lines will not show up.
When using Illustrator I change the stroke of all lines then drag the artboard edges closer to the object leaving a space around the object. After formatting the very most bottom line of my thumbnails will be missing. I've tried placing the objects at a different reference points in AutoCAD before exporting the file but this has not worked. When running CS3 I never had this problem.

After exporting a pdf from indesign (high quality settings), pdf looks fine on screen and in print preview but printout misses 2 lines of text for no apparent reason.
Document also prints fine direct from indesign.
Have tried various fonts (including standard ones) with no change.
Searched for a new driver for my printer but the last update was for OS 10.5.
So I have done many hours of animation in flash over the years. And what I am trying to do is import some of the characters I have created in Flash into Illustrator and convert them to PSD. This is for a print project that I am working on. The reason I want to get the images to photoshop is so I can add some effects and coloring techniques I simply can not do in Illustator or Flash.Here is the method I am using.
1) Select the vector image in Flash and Export Selection to Adobe FXG.
2) Open FXG in Illustartor
3) Export to PSD
4) Open in Photoshop and Color.
The problem I am having is the line art that was drawn with the pencil tool in Flash simply vanishes when imported to Illustartor. Also a lot of the line art that was draw with the pencil tool is gradient filled or the image I am trying to export may have multiple color Pencil Lines. So just trying to outline the images in AI does not provide the look or effect I want.
I have encountered this issue in a pdf file that I generated using my R (statisitcal language) scripts. The file contains 3 smoothed but wiggly lines where parts of a few lines vanish when I open the pdf file in illustrator. Opening the same pdf in any pdf viewers turns out perfectly however. I need to further edit the pdf file for publication purposes, so having parts of the plot missing makes this a headache. I've done other plots before with R, which can be edited in illustrator perfectly.

I created my resume with horizontal lines to divide the sections, work history, education for example. When I exported the file as a PDF, it opens beautifully in Adobe Reader. However, when I open it on my iPad or iPhone, those lines are missing! What can I do to make those lines appear when I am viewing on my iPad?

View 9 Replies View Relatedi am doing a simple project making a survey plot for a piece of land that will be broken into subdivision. all measurements are of my starting point. after plotting the starting point i try to draw line that is 113 feet long and at a bearing of N 5d W i have no problem entering this data but when i hit enter it draws a straight line. now i know 5 degrees is much of an angle so i thought maybe it just looked straight and tried to plot the next point which was 542 feet from the last point at a bearing of N 39d E but once again after i put the info in and hit enter or space it would plot a line of the proper length but vertical, not the proper angle i need it at. here is how i would put in the info:
first i choose the lne command and choose my "beginning point" as that starting point for my line then i type 113<N 5d W for the length and direction and hit enter. when i do this it plots a vertical line of the proper length but wrong angle. what am i doing wrong? i have ortho set to off and idk what else to mess with
I was trying for an option with wipeout mask.
Is there any option with wipeout to turn the continuous lines into dotted lines instead of hiding the object? I have been working on one staircase block, i want to show half block as a dotted lines.. is there any way to do that without going in to the block edit and change? thats why am looking for wipeout mask option.

I have selected several lines (not pl or spl), just lines, all of which are the same layer and such. I want to be able to select all thirty or forty of the lines using either the select similar (lisp, AC2010) or quick select and return a total length of all of the selected lines. In the properties box it shows as varies.

For example, if I have a part that can change lengths and I need to print off a new drawing, it would be good if I could say that the lines were a set distance from each end of the part or some features of the part.
Then I could update the part length, then just open the part drawing and not have to adjust anything.
This isnt so much of a problem as an annoyance. When I try to make poly lines from connected single lines my procedure is as follows...
pedit, right click, multiple, select lines/objects, enter, yes, join x 3, esc
My annoyance is if i hit join once it will not make the lines into polylines, if i hit join 3 times or so and then esc it will.
It just doesnt seem that is right and I think i might be missing something. I have been doing pedit this way for a long time adn its probably finally time to figure this one out.
