View 9 RepliesI would like to animate and render a 30 second video of something similar to the attached assembly. I have been using Inventor Studio to apply animations to the components, render them as full frame AVI (800 MB files), and compress them with Sony Vegas Pro free trial (~120 MB).
The attached assembly is a simplified example and took me around three hours to model, constraints, animate, and render from scratch. Normally, the boxes are constantly starting and stopping and moving at different velocities. Defining distances and times is cumbersome especially since I need to be aware of the boxes' positions relative to each other so they do not appear to move at different speeds or overlap.
I think a solid modeling program might not be the best tool to animate loose components sitting on a conveyor belt. Inventor slows down and occasionally crashes when I get up to 40 or 50 boxes stopping and starting and moving at different velocities. I am inclined to think that 10 or 15 animated conveyor belts moving boxes with a coefficient of friction would be near impossible on my machine (modeling the belts similar to a track on a tank or a chain and sprocket, also constantly starting and stopping and moving at different velocities).
I haven't played with Showcase, 3ds Max Design, or Navisworks Simulate. Would it be worthwhile to try any of these to animate and generate videos?
I'm noticing Jaggies in a rendering done with Image Based Light at the edges of bright reflections. Obviously I'd rather not have such jaggies.
I have the feeling that the problem is because the light is so bright that the rendering is ending up with a clipped result at edges between extreme bright and dark.

I recently converted from Sketchup 8 to 3DS and I've been trying to render some scenes with Vray but they all come out super grainy, like the rendering has a layer of noise on top of it. I have a lot of experience with Vray for Sketchhup and have never encountered this. I attached an example.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm here with 2013 SP2 64 bit Build 200 and two screens. Left screen is graphics area, Browser is on the left of right screen. Graphics is ATI Fire Pro V7800 with driver 9.3.3.3000.
In video (zipped MP4) you see a cutout of both screens, think of screens changing at the left of the browser.
Now, in many cases, after doing an operation, the browser is jumping back to the middle of my graphics in the left screen.
Model Space Screen Darkens and am unable to see screen

Trying to use the builtin screen capture tools under Utilities/Screen capture.
There appears to be no way to do a selected capture or partial selection of parts of a window. Instead we have:
Full screen []
active window []
content of active window [x]
So I selected the last one above as shown `Content of Active Window'
But what I actually get is a mini version of the entire Designer pro 7 application Including the menus, borders, and all that guff that no one usually wants in a capture of part of the full screen.
So what does `Content of active window' mean as apposed to `Active window'?
Its really unbelievable that there is no provision like `Region' found in most screen grab tools where you select with the mouse what you want captured.
Maybe I'm just missing how to use this thing, but have included the result of what a `content of active window' does. Its a mini version of the entire application...
I did take a class for it in college so I know the basics, but still learning. I am trying to create a very basic animation where I have 2 assets that begin off the stage on either side. I would like the elements to slide in from the sides and meet in the middle with about a 20px overlap. I tried setting a keyframe for both elements at 0 seconds and setting the X translations to -2000px and 2000px and then setting another keyframe at 5 seconds and changing the X translations to 48% and 52% respectively. This got me the desired effect, but only because I have such a large monitor. If the browser window is resized or the screen is smaller, the effect does not stay the same due to using percentages to center the elements.
is there a way to animate elements to the middle of the screen without percentages(maybe by using margin:0 auto or something)? Or is there a way to accomplish what I am looking for so that the positioning of the elements is the same regardless of browser window size?
I would like to change this title screen to english title screen at the precisely same picture on below but I want it to be in english title screen.
View 9 Replies View RelatedWell I have tried with different resolutions, but even with the highest one 1366x768 I can´t see all the panels on the Inventor screens. It´s like my screen is to small to show all the windows inventor has.
I attach an image to show the problem, I can´t see what´s under the "point alignment" option, I can´t see the "accept" nor "cancel" buttons.I tried to search on google and here in the forum but I couldn´t find anything, I hope not to ask something has already been asked before.
The bar at the top of the screen that displays the drawing file name seems to be a blurred transparent image of the computer desktop. This makes the file name difficult to read, especially if the desktop image is light in color. Is there a way to make this feature opaque?
Also, on an earlier version the entire drawing path was displayed. Now I only see the drawing name. I cannot seem to find a way to turn that feature back on.
I just got ACAD LT 2012 and am trying to set it up for a two screen displayI'd like to put all the icons and command line on one screen and use the second screen exclusively for the paper/model space.
How do I achieve this?
When I plot a drawing on a particular file there is a line on my dimension layer that doesn't appear at any other time. It only plots when the dimension layer is on but does not appear on the screen so I cannot select it and delete it. The layer itself seems to be normal like the other layers. Are there any remedies besides creating a new layer and putting the dimensions on the new layer?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have autocad 2000i and can't open two drawings on the same screen. The book I am reading currently is autocad 2002: no experience required. In the book it as to open the drawing that I am currently working on and a new drawing after, then choose window>tile vertically. That doesn't seem to work for me. Also, when I click on window ther is only the active file on list instead of two or others that I have previously opened. I think I am stuck. Maybe there is something to change in the options for the allowance of more than one file to be on the list so then it would become possible to allow a split screen of two different drawings.
FIGUERED IT OUT! tool>options>system>single-drawing compatability unchecked.
I have a user that has the incorrect filename show up the top of the screen sometimes. Only with more than 1 drawing open of course and not all the time. civil 3d 2011. Meaning if he has drawing2.dwg open it might still say drawing1.dwg at top.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am quite new to 3D modeling & rendering. I did a simple 3d model of a standing unit, but once i clicked on render, only a black screen appeared.

I had a valuable program that used the screen menu to insert blocks to aid in creation of architectural details. Now that the screen menu is no longer supported, is there anyway to run a script type of menu that points to various other menus?
I checked the only reference to screen menus. However, there was no reference to screen menus in either comment.
When opening up an AutoCAD drawing (double clicking the target drawing, no other autocad files open) the drawing opens up and the AutoDesk Exchange Welcome screen also opens up that is unnecessary and I have to close it out. I can't figure out why this is occurring or how to disable this. No other windows or options occur that asks me to disable this.
I recently reinstalled AutoCAD and am happy with everything else, it seems that when it comes to AutoCAD.
After just installing 2013, I decided to change the screen appearance and move the command line into its traditional area at the bottom - I over dragged and it disappeared off the screen. I have tried CTRL+9 and using the Ribbon Commands and nothing seems to work.
I have looked at the Preferences and cannot find anything to indicate the commandline or how to customize with the exception of colour and text colour!! Where it has gone and how do I get it back?
I attempted to copy with base point some blocks from one drawing to another and got a blue screen saying physical memory dump, and then my computer restarted. I tried the same thing using the insert as a block, but had the same problem. I am using autocad 2012
I'm running Windows 7, it says with 8gig ram, and video card is a Intel(r)hd graphics family. The computer is less than 2 weeks old.
When I want to edit the annotation scale of an object, the dialog box seems to open, but I cannot see it. I copied my profile from my computer with two monitors, so I suspect that is the problem. I tried Alt + down arrow, then right and left arrows to see if I could find it, but that did not work. CMDDIA is 1.
