I'm having an issue with my poly lines. they aren't filling in. And its only in one drawings. Even if I do a solid it comes in not tilled in. I tried doing the fillmode but that didnt work. I tried the shademode but that didnt work either. I'm not sure what else to try.

As the above mentioned, I have a drawing drawn using polylines with width from someone. The width of the line are suppose to represent area,
To put things into prospective, here is an example:
The polyline is 10 unit long and with a width of 2 unit wide. If i explode that polyline, it will become a single polyline without width. The line are suppose to represent 10 unit long and 2 unit wide; representing an area.
My question is is there a way to change the line above directly from polyline with width to a close polyline (4 x polylines) of 10 unit long and 2 unit wide.
How to draw 3D polylines, or convert single lines to polylines?

Is there a way of converting 3d polylines to polylines with an elevation?
I have a dwg of contour information, the contours are 3d polylines, because they are contours the z value is constant all along the line, so there no question what the elevation of the polyline would need to be.
I need to do this as I then need to import the dwg into a GIS programme called MapInfo whch doesn't read 3d polylines.
I have access to AutoCAD 2004 or 2005LT.
I made a change to my Architect 2008 ADT.CUI file to change the mouse button configuration, but the changes aren't taking effect. The old configuration is still working. I found that I have two ADT.CUI files. The one in ...userdatacacheSupport has a 2007 date and the one in the ...enuSupport folder has today's date. Apparently the CUI editor lets me edit one but the other is getting loaded. How do I get the newer version to be the one that gets loaded?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI needed to make a dome-like feature and the only way I could get something that looked even close to what I was modeling was to use the loft tool. I've attached the model of what I'm talking about (it's Inventor 2010) The problem is when I try to make a drawing for it, it won't show some of the lines on the dome feature. The only way the loft would work was if I checked the "closed loop" button. I tried checking the box in the drawing saying show tangent faces or something like that and that didn't work either.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI wan't to export a DWG-file with texts to a sqllite database to be used i MapGuide. The export is successfull but I can't get the rotation of texts to work properly - all the texts are horizontally aligned and not rotated. For example, the ROTATION field of a text in the sqllite database has the value 4.8376865658545531 - in the DWG the rotation property is 192.0233g - but when using the ROTATION field as the value for Rotation in the style label it isn't being rotated.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI am using a breakline to establish contours around the foundation of a building. I've done this in the past with no problems. Now I'm getting an Event Viewer, Error message saying that the breakline wasn't added to the surface because it crossed a point or crossed another breakline. In one case there wasn't another breakline in the drawing.
I've used 3d polylines & others to establish the breaklines.
I have recently changed computers, I am apart of a Flexi license system. Now my problem is when i go into Application options and change where to open my templates from it does not save when i quit Inventor. I have also notcied small things like the reverse cusor button i always click but everytime i get out of Inventor it defaults.
(Pictures: One is the custom templates i would like to use. I am selecting them in Application Options/ Templates than applying and closing. Then when i am fnished with Inventor for the day and shut down and the next day when i come back it defaults back to the default templates)
My issue is that all my rounded objects aren´t rendering smooth. And what is up with all these lines?
Am i missing something when i render rounded objects? I already tried the this tip but nothing changed.
The structures I created in my part list aren't available when using the Network Layout Tool. I can select the custom pipes i created, however the structures aren't available in the Structure List pulldown. They show when editing the part list, but not on the layout toolbar.
View 7 Replies View RelatedAnytime I copy and paste anything from one drawing to another (which I do often) it pulls in Layers, Dimstyles, and Blocks that aren't even in the drawing I am copying from?! I don't understand it. I have purged everything from each drawing prior to copying and pasting but after I paste, the items I just purged reappear. It is getting extremely annoying to have to purge CERTAIN items from a drawing that I don't want. I can't even do a purge all because there are blocks that I have in my prototype that I want to keep but don't necessarily use all the time.
I do not get into lisp commands, certain block items, 3d, etc. but am familiar with just about everything but I have ALWAYS had this problem. Just recently I have started to really concern myself with keeping my drawings "clean". I do not want dimension styles in my drawings that are not used and/or are not mine! Same with blocks! I would understand if I was copying block items into my new drawings that it might pull in some thing that are used inside the block that you may not see but this is happening when I pull in SINGLE LINES!!! ON LAYERS THAT ARE ALREADY IN MY DRAWING! It will pull in completely unused layers.
I have recently been using Sheet Set Managers (SSM) more recently and have found them quite handy but I am also finding some peculiarities with it too. I have no issues setting up a SSM and getting it to plot all my sheets either to our plotter or to PDF at full size (24x36), however when it comes to setting up a half size (11x17) page setup and overriding to it, is where problems occur.
What I want is a page setup that I can select that will plot 11x17 from 24x36. So, I first created a page setup that does this in our template (.dwt) and then set the page setup overrides file to our template file (under sheet set properties). Next I right-cliked on my sheet set and went to "Publish" and then "Publishing Using Page Setup Override", but the list it populated for me did not reflect all of the page setups we have in our template??? It listed two page steups _24x36 and _30x42 (see attachment). These page setups can be found in our template under page setup manager along with several others which don't show in the overrides (see attachment).
Is there a reason the other page setups aren't coming up in the SSM overrides menu?
I have a drawing that I'm having issues with, all of the Lwpolyline that we have in our drawings are not filling in the arrow part.
I have checked to verify that the fill is on, fillmode is on, Apply solid fill is on on the Display tab of options.
It isn't a leader arrow, but I did verify that the Arrowheads are all selected to Closed filled. Regen does nothing as well.
Shooting with a Canon 5dMarkii. Windows 7; Photoshop CS3. When I try to open RAW (CR2) files, I get a message that the file type can't be recognized. I've not had this problem before. My "updates" says that everything is current.

After I choose another object and then go back to the particular object with my hex code its a different hex code but the colors look similar.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a red circle on one layer. That layer is selected in the Layers window. When I choose Filter | Brush Strokes | Spatter, the circle doesn't change (i.e., no spattering).
I'm using CS5 on Windows, the image is RGB/8, all of the filters are enabled, the colors are set to foreground black and background white, I've tried dragging the radius and smoothness sliders, I've pressed Ctrl (which changes the Cancel button to Default) and clicked Default.
If I move through the other filters, most of them don't seem to do anything. These Artistic filters do work: Colored Pencil, Neon Glow, Sponge; none of the Brush Strokes appear to work.
I Have A Legit Registered Copy Of Cs2 And For Some Reason Not All My Filters Are Working. Artistic, Brush Stroke, Sketch, Texture, And Video Aren't Working.

tool ships are checked in the preferences but they're not showing.
For some reason the fonts that I have on my computer aren't working in photoshop. It kinda makes me mad because all the normal fonts are ugly. Some worked, but some haven't. All of the fonts are in the Windows font folder.

View 5 Replies View RelatedToday, I decided to give Maya a try. After I installed the program, I created primitive polygons and played with the program a bit. Everything worked fine. However, I have a few problems. The shortcut keys aren't working. It's valid to say that the problem is occurring because the hotkeys aren't set. I checked the hotkey editor interface and determined that all the hotkeys are set. Consequently, the problem isn't occurring because the hotkeys aren't set. Also, right mouse click doesn't bring up a menu. Is there an option to toggle hotkeys that I don't know about?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to plot my dwg to a PNG file using the PublishToWeb PNG.pc3 plotter but it will not use the whole image size for my output. To the right where is a white vertical line that's not used, very annoying. I'm using a custom page size but that size has the exact dimension (1280x720) as the selected window.
I have also tried the PublishToWeb JPG.pc3 plotter with the same result and I have also tried it with AutoCAD 2011 with the same result.
I'm attaching my test DWG, it's a black rectangle with a solid hatch, and the resulting PNG file. I also attach my settings from the plot dialog.
