View 2 Replies View RelatedI am experiencing two problems. One is the tool icons in Photoshop are disappearing on the screen. I move the cursor and see nothing on my screen.
The second problem is at other times the proper tool icon and function is not showing up and working. I select for example the pen tool and the hand tool icon show up and the function works as the hand tool not the pen tool?
I cannot see my lines, paint or clone results after selecting and using any of these tools. The history shows that I have used them but I cannot view the results on my screen. I can select a tool such as paint brush or pen and draw on my image but I cannot see where I have just drawn or painted. This is also the case with the dodge/burn and clone tools. Any global changes such as contrast, color or brightness will work fine, it's just the tools.
I have tried reinstalling Photoshop (CS3) as well as did a clean install of Windos XP Pro SP3. Changed video cards and updated all bios and drivers.
For some reason the tools in my photoshop are not showing up correctly on the cursor when they are selected. For example, normally when you click the brush tool, the cursor changes into a circle which shows you the size of your brush, but for some reason, all i am getting is a little " + "
Have i changed a setting somewhere? Does anybody know how i can get the cursor to go back to the way it should be. I just want it to be a circle when the brush is selected so i can see the size of my brush.
My brush size circle does not show up...just the cursor. I change the size to everything from 1 to 300....nothing. Sometimes a shutdown and restart helps, so I think it may be a lack of computing power.
I can sometimes get it back by going into preferences and changing the brush size to standard then then back to brush size...but that's a pain in the but.
I have a list of brushes in the Tool Presets. I go to the Preset Manager and organize them in an order that makes sense to me, then I Save the presets with a name in the Tools presets. Just to be sure, I save the workspace with a new name.
If I close PS and reopen it, the tools appear in the Tools Presets, but not in the order I saved them earlier. They are all in alpahbetical order again.
I've gone through this several times, and it seems I am doing it right. I must be missing a step somewhere. This is on Windows 7, 64 Bit, Photoshop 5.
am using Photoshop CS 2 and the first thing you have to do is draw a circle, but my elliptical tool isn't in the toolbox. There is a square, but no circle.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen working on a document (in PS cs6) and pressing the spacebar to quickly access the hand tool it doesn't do anything.
What I've tried so far:
-resetting the presets
-change the shortcut key (wasn't possible)
-reinstall
-googled
get the spot healing tool showing onscreen ,im new and cant seem to find it
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I point over any opened image, I just see a hand, even if I have a tool selected.
Non of the images are Read Only.
Running the CS6 trial on a Windows 7 Laptop (x64). I was in Photoshop (64), and noticed that when I held down the spacebar to pan the open image, the hand icon would show but the tool will not work. No matter how many times I click and drag, the image stays still. If I select the MANUALLY select the hand tool it works, but the spacebar shortcut key is non-functional. This issue persists across both the 32 & 64 bit versions of Photoshop.
View 23 Replies View RelatedI just installed Creative Suite CS6 and in Photoshop, when I use the move tool a small popup window shows the mouse coordinates. I can't see any option to turn this off, either in the Options bar or the Preferences.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI must have clicked something or inadvertantly pressed a keyboard shortcut or something because a couple of weeks ago, the sub-tools on the tool palette started popping up without me having to hold down the mouse button for a second. Now when I click a tool (the rectangular marqee tool for example), the hidden tools (eliptical marqee, single row etc.).
I'm using PS CS5 on Windows 7.
None of the gizmos for any tools are showing up, other than basic transforms. Specifically, UV projection (planar, cylindrical) and extruding are the two that I noticed. I don't know what I did for this to happen.
Also, I just noticed that the ability to edit the attributes (height, width, segments) of default geometry (cube, sphere, cylinder, etc.) is not available.
In X5 Draw and Paint my tool-tips have stopped showing and I can't see where they could've been disabled.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a problem with my tool palettes today. I've created some new blocks and saved them to our server, and i've then opened the design center and found the file location. I then click create tool palette of blocks. The palette displays but no blocks show on it, I've even tried dragging and dropping blocks to it but nothing shows.
I've downloaded the service pack and run a repair but still the same problem. My existing palettes have also had their block images turn into a white squares which need updating before I can see the image.
I changed the Tool Palette file location from where it was looking to a random file then it let me create palettes.
This function was supposed to be available mid-June. Still, it isn't available or showing in my Illustrator CC, in the "T" type options.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI must have fat fingered something and I now when I click on the Eraser Tool or the Brush Mask Tool instead of getting a circle or square, I get and icon of the tool instead. They still work but they're harder to use without seeing the circle or square depending on what's selected. I've been using Corel for many years and never had this happen and I can't figure out how to switch back.
View 3 Replies View RelatedHow do you change the characteristic of the cursor from Hand (Move Tool) back to just being a pointer? This condition only exists in the Develope Module when my cursor is placed over the top of the photo. When I move it off the photo it returns to a pointer. In the Library Module it is always a pointer like I like it to be.
