View 1 Replies View Relatedi'm making an isometric drawing. so i use oblique command everytime i need to convert dimension oblique at 30 degrees. is there any setting that the default system gets to this oblique thing so the action of selecting Dimension> Oblique doesn't need to be repeated? just like we switch ORTHO on and off , is there a setting for oblique dimension on or off too? i'm using autocad 2010 LT

View 1 Replies View RelatedHow can I print a dimension with its arrows but without it's dimension lines?
For example--I draw a rectangle and draw a horizontal dimension across the center of the rectangal. Then I flip the arrows and drag the number to the left outside of the rectangal. I want arrows facing inward from the left and right and the number out to the left. I don't want a line stretched across the center of the rectangal.
When I have to scale something after bringing it in from another drawing (Windows copy, paste), usually (but strangely not always, it seems) the dimension text and arrows are all messed up. If I scale down, they are (obviously) way too big, up, and they are microscopic. How is this best avoided / dealt with? I imagine it is something with the DIMSTYLE not being copied over or something?

If IV2010 allows hiding of the DIMENSION lines and ARROWS in an IDW files? I found a thread from 2009 that says it is impossible.
However, I found a way to hide them on some RETRIEVED dimensins, but not on others.
How to MANUALLY, or to create STYLE that hides MY choice of:
1. EXTENSION LINES,
2. DIMENSION LINES,
3. ARROWS
After importing a block of a floor plan, I seem to have lost my oblique arrowheads. I can select and use all the other types of arrowheads, but when i select the oblique style i get nothing.
I'm dimensioning in paperspace.
I am drawing an isometric drawing. In order to draw a dimension line, the tutor says I have to change the obliquing angle to s0 for left plane and -30 for right plane.
I could find anything in: Modify Dimension Style
Where should I change this angle?
How to make oblique lines to be horizontal when copied?
I’m wondering if there is a coot tool that enables copying a set of oblique lines to make them horizontal.
Sure there are many ways to do that but looking for the most brilliant way.

how to create a text selection set using rotation and oblique angles. I am working isometric drawings from a Microstation conversion and want to create a lisp to set text style to conform to current standards. For example, iso text in the right plane would be rotated 30 degrees and have an oblique angle of 30 degrees based on the style from the conversion. however,
(setq txtisor (ssget "X" '((0 . "MTEXT,TEXT")(50 . 0.523599)(51 . 0.523599)))) returns nil.
since (setq txt0 (ssget "X" '((0 . "MTEXT,TEXT")(50 . 0)))) returns all text at zero degrees, I figure there is something wrong about the way the angles are being entered.
I'm looking for a function that lets me take a rectangular face viewed from an oblique angle, and square it up as if I were looking straight at it.
For example (can't draw pictures to show you what I mean), suppose I take a photo of an apartment building while I'm standing across the street and off to one side. I need a tool that lets me click on the four corners of the building's face and un-distorts the face, making it rectangular.
I have used a non-PDN tool (GIMP? Photoshop?) that had this capability. We used it to model the buildings at [URL] .... from actual photos.
Now I'd like to do this with PDN. I read about Evan Olds' Quadrilateral Reshaping and dpy's Perspective Effect. I've installed both plug-ins, and while they can do the trick with a little nudging, they're not exactly what I'm looking for.
I try to put the Ferrari image in the square, but the square is "crooked". How I can put the ferrari image occupying the entire space of square?. I have tried to rotate it, but it is wrong, I have to stretch the ends.

Set up the perspective grid tool on a birdseye (oblique) aerial? I'm starting to understand how to create a basic perspective drawing on a blank canvas, but aligning the grid to an existing image is completely escaping me.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI need to fill the object with oblique lines of one color - strips rotated 45deg. Among them is empty, that is to be visible below the bottom (lower layer) of this texture. Somehow I can not figure out how to do it: ps textures are useless/complex and other standard off are not "leaky". So far I have dealt with manually, copy lines and trimming.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to get the dimension text that I pull out to the side closer to the actual dimension marks. The 2 1/2" and 2" shown have a minimum distance they can get toward their dimensions. I would like it to be about half of what it is, but so far I haven't been able to find the property that changes that.

A simple linear scaling might be possible by inventing a new unit with the appropriate conversion ratio, but that wouldn't work. What I need for the dimension to display a length 400 less than the actual length.

View 3 Replies View RelatedBy some setting or default, when I dimension a diameter in Autocad 2010, I get a dim line that only has one arrow that points to one side of a circle, just like a radius. I'd like the diameter dims to have an arrow on both sides of circles.
I've been through the settings in Dimstyles. and didn't find a combination that made the desired change. I've looked at the properties for a specific diameter dimension and found nothing that worked there. I looked into block modifications using BEDIT and Properties, but I found nothing there either. While I may have overlooked a combination of changes in Properties, I tried a lot in there.
my normal dimension style has text above dmension line & I want to add 'typical' to it below dimension line.
I have done this lot of time in my previous job an year back. but I can't seem to remember what to type between dimension text & the word I want to add in edit text box, so that it appers below dimension line.
I'm inserting dimensions and the tics keep coming out huge and not on the dimension line, in fact there's one on either side 20 ft out. If I change the drawing scale in the tab at a the bottom the tics get smaller and closer in, but they are still off the dimension string by a long shot.

When I create a line label, one of the components available is “Direction Arrow”. This component is not available for “Curve” labels. I would really like to use C3D labels to indicate direction (I realize curves don't have a 'direction', but I don’t mind manually flipping and reversing the arrow). Is there any other label option in C3D that will draw a direction arrow for curves?
When I did the confirmation after I drew the arrow, it shrank to be small. Like the pictures attached.
