AutoCAD 2013 :: Repeating FILLET Command When Using Keyboard?
Dec 31, 2013I want to make it so that whenever I type F for FILLET the MULTIPLE option is selected so I don't have to type F then M. Is there a way to make it so that when I type F it always gives me the multiple option without my having to type F then M? How would I do that?

Jan 17, 2012I have a VBA program that I have been using for years that I am unable to convert to vb.net. When I start a text/dim command, the routine changes my layer to my Dimension layer, like wise when I create a viewport.
I like what I see with A2k12 but all this vb.net stuff has me quite frustrated. So many programs to convert so little time.

Feb 1, 2011I have some dimensions and mleaders that are in paperspace that I want to put in model space. When I use the CHSPACE command, the mleaders will switch, but the dimensions will not. Is there a reason dimensions cannot switch space? This is in Civil 3D 2010.

AutoCad 2D :: Change Layer From Command Line?
May 31, 2012At one point I had a layer command that I could select a line, type in the layer I wanted (with no extra prompts required) and it would change. The best part is if the layer didn't exist it would automatically create it (without prompting me Y/N).
Using LAYMCH in the command line is very close. However I have to press N for name, then enter the layer. If it is a new layer, it prompts me Y/N.

Mar 7, 2013Im a user of Autocad 2012 but in the new array command of autocad 2012 , when a block is arrayed the entire array acts as one unit and all the objects in it move together . This can be changed by exploding the arrayed objects and i can move the objects individually but when this is done my block properties are lost...Auto cad renames this block and no longer identifies as my old block.
How can i retain my block properties whilst using the array command in autocad 2012!

In 2013 (with out selecting trim all) the trim line didn't have to intersect the line you wanted to trim. We just upgraded to 2014 and I noticed that if I want to trim a line that the lines have to intersect. A line that doesn't intersect with the selected trim line will not trim.

Oct 7, 2012I'm running ACADLT 3102 on a new Dell xps and the monitor is set to the recommended 1366x768 screen resolution. When certain menus like hatch open up, the bottom of the menu area is off the screen, there's not scroll bar and no way to move the menu up to hit the ok or cancel buttons. I've been getting around this by going into the control panel and changing the screen resolution, then finishing the hatch command, and waiting for the default screen resolution to take over again!
Is there anywhere in the program to change the size/shape of the command screens?? Can't find anything in Options>Display....

It used to be that when entering the baseview command your ribbon would dynamically change to give the functions and features within the command. Seemingly in 2014 this no longer happens.I also find that after creating the view, I have inconsistent object snapping.I get endpoints on some objects, but not on others.

For example, I would like to change the keyboard shortcut key for the command COPY to "C" instead of "CO" and CIRCLE to "CR" instead of "C" because I use the COPY command much more than CIRCLE and I'd like to maximize my drafting efficiency. In older versions of AutoCAD, you could open the acad pgp file and edit the info using "wordpad"; however, I have not been able to find that same file for this 2011 version.

Jul 24, 2012I have created a library of dynamic blocks in AutoCad10. When I craeted them I could click on the Grip for a Linear Parameter that was associated with a Stretch Action and the current value would be displayed (Example: The width of a block). I could type in a new value and the block would stretch to that value. Something changed this week when I attempted to use my blocks. When I click on the Grip no dimension is displayed. The command line shows "Specify point location or [Base point/Undo/Exit]". I can drag the grip to change my block but I cannot simply type in a new dimension as before.

I built some walls and a roof slab using the wall, door, and roof slab tools in the build section of the ribbon. I drew a section plane and activated live section. The walls and roof did not cut away and they do not show up when i use the sectionplanetoblock command.
Is there a setting I need to change to make the walls and roof susceptible to being cut using the sectionplane command?
