In attached file a.dwg, I use battman command to change text color inside the block. It did well for the color change part but get the text upside down as well. I am in 2010.

I'd like to be able to use transparent commands to make a script file to do it automatically instead of calling up battman, clicking through and typing on every single one.
I attached some old PDF drawings and they are just perfect. The background is transparent and they really look pretty good. Is it possible to change the color of the pdf text?

I've cut and "paste special" a table from excel to autocad, and would like to edit several (not all) cell's text color from the default (in this case white) to the bylayer color.
When I set up my table style I specified the text to be bylayer, however apparently a paste from excel ignores the setting.
I need to programmatically change the 'Window command' (Commande de fenêtre in French) color. I didn't find anything in Application.Preferences neither in the registry.
By 'Window command' I'm talking about the feature comming with A2012 displayed in the upper left corner of model space windows:
I was working on some modifications to a previous drawing and needed to change the face color on multiple faces, about 40 of them... After using the command on a couple of them, I decided that an improvement is required or I'm not understanding how to pick multiple items with the same stroke of the command. What I'm asking is, is there a way to pick multiple faces to change multiple face color in just a few strokes or can a custom lisp file be created to speed this process up?

For example, I would like to change the keyboard shortcut key for the command COPY to "C" instead of "CO" and CIRCLE to "CR" instead of "C" because I use the COPY command much more than CIRCLE and I'd like to maximize my drafting efficiency. When I change the background (active command) to black, the cursor blends into it and not visible. Can’t see where is my current position when editing coordinates. The command background was black and text white for the last 10 years for 20 drafters; we would like to keep it this way

I'm using the ED command in AutoCAD 2012. I have my texts verticals, but I want to edit them in horizontal position, however when I active the command and I select the text, the edit option appears in vertical position. What can I do to control this option? Is there some variable to control this option?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI managed to write this javascript. It automatically changes the colors from one swatch (byName) to another (byName) in my opened illustrator file. But if this one color doesn't exist as a fill or outline color in a file, I get an error message, because the script can not detect the color. The script stops. I am working on a batch of Illustrator files with 3 colors to change, but some files contain just 1 or 2 of the colors.Is there a command for javascript which says: "Only change the color, if the color appears"?

Been using ACAD for 20+years...AutoCAD 2012/Civil 3D 2012 is driving me nuts. Simple question I am sure. I created a new layer with green as its color. It is showing up as yellow in my viewport. I checked my plot style(ctb), and is same as I have used for many years....prints black(pen 7). Typically shows green on screen and plots black. Looking in the Layer Properties Manager, I noticed that on the far right, there is a column labeled 'VP Plot Syle'. It has Color 2(yellow) shown. How do I change this as I am guessing this is causing issue.

The Files could not be migrated (not the same Program and Operating systems) In Release 11 all my Reference File colors are now faded in Model and Paper Space. I have AutoCAD Mechanical (but only use ACAD), and now every time that I try to change the color of something (line, circle, text...) my AutoCAD crashes! {This is very frustrating}
Currently the only way of changing colors is through Layers.
I would like to know if there is a way to change the colour of the font of the file name at the top of the autocad window. It is currently white. The problem is our company standard desktop background colouris fixed as shown a light blue, and so I cannot read the file name of the autocad drawing.

Our text is yellow and it can be hard to read above the grey...
In the old versions of autoCAD I could select everything in the drawing and use the text style pull-down to select the text style I wanted all of the existing text to be and it would change it when the style was selected. Is there not a way to do this in AutoCAD 2011 without using the quick select feature in the properties dialog box?
I solved the same problem with dimensions by turning the dimension toolbar on but the text toolbar doesn't have the style as an option on it.

I work for a company that uses a lot of custom details using AutoCAD and have now decided to switch them up and use different layers, fonts & styles. So far I have been able to come up with some script changing the styles of how we want the fonts to look, but I am trying to select one font style, change the layer & color of that text, then close the file.
