I would like to know if there is a way to change the colour of the font of the file name at the top of the autocad window. It is currently white. The problem is our company standard desktop background colouris fixed as shown a light blue, and so I cannot read the file name of the autocad drawing.

It comes in with the truetype font even though it is assigned to a table style that utilizes an shx font and the correct text style is assigned when I double click in the cell. If I click into the cell and change the text style it will change the font but this will be very time consuming.In the end, I need an AutoCAD table with this information.

If it is possible to change the default font used when inserting a symbol in mtext. e.g. the centerline symbol.
At the moment the font used is isocpeur and I would like it to be Romans.
When I try to create a new font style using the standard Autodesk Swiss fonts, I get the message "font file doesn't exist". I can see that the fonts are in the AutoCAD fonts folder and that I have a file path set to that folder.

I can do the first word in one layer and open up a second layer for the next few words, but as soon as I start typing the second word, the first one becomes the color of the second word.

The file title is in Hebrew and shows correctly when I open the file within any of the programs listed above, but any Hebrew text within the figure displays/prints as question marks?? I do have Hebrew as a font on my PC and have no issuues within other programs (Windows, MS Office 2010, etc.). As I need to edit the figures and text for Israeli clients, how can I get the Hebrew font to show??

The text is invisible even though I changed the color to white and the box resized itself really small and I can't see anything even though I set it to 150 px.
Try to unchecking the 'dynamic text' button but I don't see this button anywhere in my text tab.
I have never been able to successfully use GIMP for anything because of this problem with adding text. I have had 2 versions, Windows and Linux. Right now I am using it with Pangolin.

View 3 Replies View RelatedBeen using ACAD for 20+years...AutoCAD 2012/Civil 3D 2012 is driving me nuts. Simple question I am sure. I created a new layer with green as its color. It is showing up as yellow in my viewport. I checked my plot style(ctb), and is same as I have used for many years....prints black(pen 7). Typically shows green on screen and plots black. Looking in the Layer Properties Manager, I noticed that on the far right, there is a column labeled 'VP Plot Syle'. It has Color 2(yellow) shown. How do I change this as I am guessing this is causing issue.

I have the AutoCad Map 2009 (32bit) with Windows XP on one Computer and uploaded AutoCad LT 2011 (64bit) in Windows 7 (64bit) on a second Computer. The Files could not be migrated (not the same Program and Operating systems) In Release 11 all my Reference File colors are now faded in Model and Paper Space. What do I have to change so that it looks like in Map 2009?

I have AutoCAD Mechanical (but only use ACAD), and now every time that I try to change the color of something (line, circle, text...) my AutoCAD crashes! {This is very frustrating}
Currently the only way of changing colors is through Layers.
In attached file a.dwg, I use battman command to change text color inside the block. It did well for the color change part but get the text upside down as well. I am in 2010.

I've tried using the function in Autocad but it just wont work.
I've cut and "paste special" a table from excel to autocad, and would like to edit several (not all) cell's text color from the default (in this case white) to the bylayer color.
When I set up my table style I specified the text to be bylayer, however apparently a paste from excel ignores the setting.
Is there a way to change the color of sheet set titles and call outs so that the text is not obsured by a 50% grey box? Maybe make the grey a bit darker so the text can stand out..
Our text is yellow and it can be hard to read above the grey...

I need to edit a GIF image file. I have it loaded and converted to RGB. I cannot find anything on any menu about edit a GIF file. It is basically a horizontal rectangle with text on the left and a color on the right, and I just need to replace the text and change the font, without disturbing anything else. It needs to "fit" back into a webpage afterwards. As far as I can see, there is only one layer, if that makes any difference.
Can you change a sv$ file to a dwg file. Acad help says you just change the file extension like you do a bak file, but I am unable to do this.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am not able to change the color of a layer in one of my drawing files. When I make a new layer in the drawing file it is the same color as the layer above it (as it should be) but I am unable to change the color in the new layer either.
I can change colors in other drawing files on this computer. The color of a layer can be changed if I open the drawing file on another computer.
If the drawing is "save as" to a new file name and the new drawing is opened, it still will not change the color of a layer.
If the drawing is "save as" on the computer that will allow the color to be change and opened on this computer it will not allow the color of the layer to be changed.
I quite often import hardware models downloaded form various mfg or supplier websites. McMaster Carr for example provides a great deal of hardware models. While they offer native formats for SW they do not do this for IV (not many places do)
Since the [imported] models often open up with default properties, I change the material to something that closely represents the actual hardware or item. In some cases, there are certain portions of the item that are in reality colored or textured differently and I sometimes want to duplicate that for aesthetics and a more accurate view for people that use my assembly files.
In SW, it was always real easy to select just a face (regardless of whether the surface was part of an entire part, a feature, an imported solid body, etc. I could always change the properties of just a face or slection of faces. Since it was a standard pc of hardware, I had no concern about updates.
I have a part file that contains two imported solid bodies. If I select just a single face and try to change the color of it, it changes the entire part. Not what I want.
When I make a text, and if I like to change the font style how can I do this with out having to click on the new font,
every time I choose a different font I have to click on that font, and if I don't like I have to click on a different one
I like to do it like in Flash MX I move the pointer over the list of fonts and may text change the font style with out click on it
