how to change color on mouseover for virtually everything except text elements. I have 3 text boxes on a page and I simply want to change the font color when I mouseover them. I've searched the entire web and the forums but no dice getting anything to work.

I'm trying to build a small photo gallery within Edge Animate. I have a symbol which is essentially 10 images or so side by side, and buttons below that are directional arrows left and right. I want to have it set up where when you hover over one of those buttons, it moves the photo slideshow left and right. I havent been able to find the correct code and it is currently inoperable.
Right now, I have this in the BtnRight symbol, which is the arrow to move the slideshow to the right.

It doesn't work however. Any simple code that I can input into the syntax of the arrow symbols to allow my photo gallery to slide left and right on mouse over?
I'm programming buttons in Edge Animate, which are just symbols with their own timeline. I've given them actions in click, mouseover and mouseout states. They just call URLs and work correctly, but I've noticed that the cursor doesn't turn into pointer (the hand pointing with the forefinger) in mouseover state. This creates a bit strange feeling, because users won't be sure that they are buttons before they click them...

This has been a little annoying when trying to work on my edge animate projects. As I am using an old 4:3 ratio as my monitor - I don't have a lot of space on my desktop. Whenever I want to insert or edit code in Edge, the code menu pratically takes up my whole screen.
As you can see the font is still large even when it is on 'small' font size. Is there anywhere to change this or do I have to go digging manually into Edge's files?
Since Edge only has rectangles and ellipses built in as available shapes, how to I/we work with polygon shapes and active mouseover areas INSIDE of these shapes and non-active mouseover areas OUTSIDE of the shapes?
Problem/symptom: when I import a polygon, be it any file format from from Photoshop or SVG from Illustrator, a rectangular border/background (transparent) gets applied, leading to this rectangle defining the mouseover area of the shape - and not the shape itself (be it a star or whatever).
WHAT I WANT: the very shape defines the mouseover area. How do I achieve this?? See examle below:

I'm working on this study and I need to change the color of an object inside a symbol when I click another object.
The object is called "bola", wich is inside the symbol "ponto" and the clicking object are the colored pencils (each pencil should change the color of the symbol's object, giving the impression you'd selecting a different pencil to draw).
I think it's simple to understand what I mean when you see the files.
I already tried this line on click event of the pencils, but it didn't work:

I would like to improve the experience of drawing as well. I made it with the "mousedown" event. Is that a better way to get a similar effect?
I am trying to embed "Collaborate" font using each step of this tutorial: URL...But when I apply it to my text it keeps putting the default Arial font instead. I have copied the web font folder in my Edge directory and then followed all the step.When I save as I have this message ....

Ive already looked the whole web, but there are few edge tutorials. How to change the code from the SAME symbol in different parts from the timeline? I dont want to have to create new "next" and "previous" buttons everytime I need to change the code to go to the next page of my project.,
I have done the lesson 5 in Adobe Edge Animate Classroom in a Book and everything went well up to a point. When I edit the text for the drop down moreinfo symbol it changes the text for all of the slides. How do I make the text individual to each slide?

How to customize the Submit button in EdgeHero forms? I would like the button to say something other than "Submit". I tried embedding text into the rectangle, but when the page is rendered in a browser, it throws the text outside of the submit button box and it still says "Submit" on the button.

There are no Gradient buttons for color on stage or vector items. the keyframes do not populate even though I have keyframes on. Dragging items do not produce a transition on the timeline.the Max width button only says None and will not let me make changes. I'm on Mac Mavericks. But if this it the quality of CC, it ain't worth the price.
Why won't the color picker change my font color? It has worked for months and today it won't.

However, based on key pressed (up/down/right/left), css property of a particular child symbol only needs to be changed/highlight... how can i access an earlier created child symbol ?
What i'm trying to create is that based on arrow keys, i can select/highlight (by changing css property) a particular child element only. (similar to traversing cells in an excel sheet -top/down/right/left)..

I just moved on to edge animate from html, and html was also beirf learn for me and mostly i was doing design work, and i thought getting out of graphic river and moving on the theme forest.
I want also all the five things to work on one aimate project.
Is it possible to get the text color to FadeIn or the opacity of the text color to animate with the lines of code below? I simply want the color to fade in when the mouse rolls over the text.

I can do the first word in one layer and open up a second layer for the next few words, but as soon as I start typing the second word, the first one becomes the color of the second word.
how to change the color of the edges, bounding box, and anchor points in the ai interface? I would like the link to be initally blank, but after hovering hover the link, a colored rectangle of sorts slides in from left to right, essentially creating a new background color. When the cursor moves off of the link, the colored rectangle in the background would slide back to the left, disappearing.
After some thought, initially it sounds like an animation of clipping masks. Not sure if this is possible in Edge, or if I am on the right track.
