AutoCad 2D :: Drawing Needs To Be Recovered Each Time But No Errors Are Found
Apr 10, 2011
Every time I try to open a drawing I get the pop up stating that it can't be opened because of incomplete or corrupt information and needs to be recovered, but when I recover the file the audit doesn't find any errors. I can open the file, but this is kind of annoying to have to do this each time. I've purged the drawing, ran an audit, and verified that there aren't any problematic blocks or anything like that.
Every drawing I created using LT 2009 opens now with "Open Drawings - Errors Found" window telling me the drawing has xxx numbe of errors and asking me whether to continue or close and recover. Why is it doing this?
I have been trying to figure out if I can make capture time changes to adjust for time zone errors or the daylight saving time mistakes where the capture time in the Metadata panel is off by 1 hour or so, and then have these adjustments saved permanently to the original files (master photos). This works for JPEG files and it also works for DNG files (after converting from CR2 to DNG). But it doesn't seem to work for CR2 files directly. If I used the "Save Metadata to file" option from the Metadata menu I might just get sidecar XMP files.
Then I found this option "write date or time changes into proprietary raw files" in the Catalog Settings. This seems about right. But what does it do? I tried enabling that, created a new catalog and then imported some new CR2 files. I then changed the captured time and tried the Save Metadata to file option. It still spits out these sidecar files. It doesn't actually write this to the CR2 files.
Or does it? Perhaps I am not seeing it in Windows Explorer? Like IPTC vs. EXIF? I'm not sure Windows reads both. These are like different types or sections of metadata information about a file. So I just wonder what the benefit or consequence is of having this option enabled? Whatever it is, it is not very apparent. And as you can see from the screenshots above the capture time has not changed (not been saved) when you look at the file in Windows Explorer. Any changes are held in the XMP sidecar. Even thou I have enabled this EXIF option in Catalog Settings.
When I click the "Setup.exe" It brings up a "Initializing Adobe Photoshop CS3" When that is done, it brings up Adobe Photoshop, and I get an error. It says exactly.
"Critical Errors were found in setup Session has dependencies that cannot be satisfied. Please see the setup log for details."
When Running Setup.exe it manages to get through it then it opens up a web page called Adobe Setup and then an error message occurs saying "Critical Errors were found in Setup.
If you know how to fix this I Would much appreciate it as I have been wanting to do some designing for a long time.
I m receiving the following error on all projects whether they be existing or newly created. I am getting this error on Revit 2013 and Revit 2014. To reproduce all I have to do is try to delete ANY object in the model. "No circuit errors found".
Is there a way to check in VBA if the design doctor has found errors in a drawing? I have a mass print script and it'd be handy to be able to skip printing any drawings that have errors like unatached dimensions and such.
I have a serious problem with Photoshop cs6 during the drawing with a large number of forms (about 30 ...).Appear in drawing the colored squares, lines and other defects, randomly placed in the drawing. If I save the image, close and reopen itthe drawing is ok.
My system is:
Mac Pro Mac OS X 10.7.5 Intel Xeon quad-core "Nehalem" a 2,8 GHz 12 GB (3 x 4 GB) HD Serial ATA da 1 TB a 3 Gb/s e 7200 giri/min ATI Radeon HD 5870 1 GB
I created a Dynamic Block that works perfectly, however when I try to add it to my tool pallet, I get an error message that reads "Block XXX is not found in source drawing. If the source drawing is currently open in the editor please save your drawing."
I'm not in the block editor, and I've saved it multiple times before I tried doing this. I've even closed AutoCAD and reopened it and I'm still getting the same results. I've been able to add many other blocks to my tool pallet, but it just will not accept this one.
I am getting this error in my production drawings.
My setup is as follows:
- EG.dwg has my existing surface in it. I create a data reference to use it in other drawings.
- Level One.dwg has the EG surface data referenced in, and I use this to create alignments, profiles, and finish surface. All of these are turned in to data references.
- Storm Sanitary.dwg has my pipe designs. I data reference in the two surfaces, profiles, and alignments, and create pipe networks. I create references for these networks.
- Plan Profile.dwg is the production sheet I'm getting this error from. Every one of my civil objects is data referenced in to this drawing. Everything is inserted correctly, the pipes show correct FG surface elevations for their rims, etc.
BUT when I open this drawing, I get this error. I assume it's because my FG surface is not directly in the storm sanitary.dwg.
How do I get rid of this error, without combining drawings, or promoting the surface to one or more drawings? Isn't this exactly what data references is made for?
I seem to remember a command that you could input which would show you detail info about when a drawing was originally open and how much time it the drawing had been open. But of course I do not recall what the command was.
I get an error every time I open any drawing after it has been saved in 2013. Opening a dwg that was created in an earlier version does not give the error, but after I save it in 2013, it does.
If I create a new dwg in 2013, save it, close it and then open it I don't get the error the first time. But then if I save that dwg again, I will get it the next time I open it.
The exact error is:
One error was found in the drawing file during open. Would you like to cancel this open?It is recommended you cancel the open and run the RECOVER command on the drawing file.
I run the recover command. It says it found, fixed, and erased 1 error. I save, close, and reopen the drawing and the error still appears every time.
error message:"Display driver stopped responding and has recovered" Display driver Intel Graphics Accelerator Drivers for Windows 7(R) stopped responding and has successfully recovered.
This happens when I copy and paste a group of blocks. The screen goes black for 2-3 seocnds then finally recovers.
After doing a few renders, my drawing now reverts to wireframe every time I close it, save it, regen. how to stop this from happening? It will basically not stay in 2D wireframe and the dwg has become very sluggish.
How to avoid nested references reload every time I open autocad drawing. In some drawings I have twenty nested references. I really need to avoid reload each reference.
I recovered a lot of accidentally-deleted JPEG's (and some TIF's) using the Ontrack EasyRecovery program. Now, in Windows Explorer, the file type is correctly identified and the file size also seems to be correct. When I try to open the file with WIndows and Fax View, I get a "No preview available" message. In CS2, it gives a "Could not complete your request because an unknown or invalid JPEG marker is found".
I had a problem with a flash drive and used a data doctor program to recover the files. It worked well on all but my psd files (and a few jpgs).
I can see the thumbnails but can't open up the files. I get an error message about not having the right version of photoshop or it not being a photoshop file.
I was working on Photoshop CS6 beta on Lion OSX since one month with no problem.
Yesterday seemed to be the last day of use (1st june annonced however) and Photoshop CS6 Beta shutted down since I was working on it.
On the re-opening it asks for a licence key so I try to buy one month rental on the e-shop but the 3 bank cards tested failed. So I gave a call to the commercial service and they told me that they do not take in charge rental but only full licence and that I can download the trial for one more month if I want to.
So, I will replace the beta by the trial.
But :
- How can I keep my Auto-saved Recovered file I was working on when crashing (pretty important work)
- Where the recovered file is saved on the hard-drive ? And, can I make it works whith CS6 non-beta ?
I had been working on an edit for way too long and of course i didnt save it the entire time because im terrible i guess, I wanted to see what the deal with Lens Flare was so i went Filter>Render>Lens Flare to check it out. I hated it and immediately removed the flare with no problems.
Then I was going to go back to Lens Flare to see if i could adjust it into something sort of decent but i accidentally went Filter>Render>Lighting Effects and it locked my Photoshop up (yes my computer sucks). I then started to panic because of the extensive amount of time i put into this edit without saving it.
I opened Photoshop and it loaded up the recovered file i was working on. Unfortunately it has the terrible lens flare from my first attempt attached to it and im not able to undo or anything. Is there anything i can do to get rid of the lens flare?
while working suddenly everything disappears from the monitor freezing and the file can not' be saved or recovered. The message that appears is insufficient memory. It 'a problem that often appears when I use the text or any changes to the text.
Coreldraw is a 32 Bit Windows xp professional and my pc has 3 GB RAM Intel Core Duo CPU E7400 I can't resolve this problem until now.
I recently upgraded my laptop to Windows 8.1 and now from time to time, I am receiving the error above on the right side of the screen and my photoshop files won't open. Instead it just freezes and becomes unresponsive so I have to close Photoshop from going to 'End Task'. I am using CS6.
i have been able to recover most lost data and images, jpegs etc using a recovery program...
BUT for some reason not all my photoshop images/files will load, others try to load but i get this error message come up "could not complete your request because the file is not compatible with this version of photoshop"
Most every time I open a project I'm working on I get a Recovered Media folder in my default library. What is this media that's in this folder? Should I get rid of it or leave it?
I've read threads on drawing a tile or something of a certain size, then using the offset filter, but what I'm wondering is - is there anyway to draw within a certain bounding box for the tile, and have that same tile updated and drawn realtime next to the tile you're currently drawing? My project is a 2D platformer game, and say we have a block of grass that's 128x64. I need the left and right borders of this tile to blend so that I can place multiple tiles of this kind next to each other and they'll loop nicely, but it's extremely difficult to draw a tile, and then copy and paste it next to the tile every single time I make any change to the original tile to test and see if it'll blend seamlessly as it loops.
I just installed PS-CC and LR5 on a new computer after a catastrophic failure on the old one, which was running PS-CS6 and LR4. Is there a way to recover my custom settings and presets from a full backup of the old computer and apply them to the new applications on the replacement computer? I have full backups, but no export data for any of the settings or presets. And because the old computer is dead, I can't just run an export.
