Nov 16, 2013

I recently upgraded my laptop to Windows 8.1 and now from time to time, I am receiving the error above on the right side of the screen and my photoshop files won't open. Instead it just freezes and becomes unresponsive so I have to close Photoshop from going to 'End Task'. I am using CS6.

for no explicable reason PS3 has stopped responding to a variety of commands and particularly to 'print'. I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling

Premiere Pro :: Flickering Image Then Display Drive Stopped Responding

Mar 11, 2014

What I've done differently is applied a few effects to clips, such as contrast and exposure, and then nested the clips.  Then I've dragged these sequences together on the timeline and trimmed and edited.  The 13 minute video plays well for about 9 minutes, then it starts flickering, alternating with black and white screens, then in the last minute it crashes.  I get the message "Display Drive Stopped Responding and Has Recovered." I've begun replacing some of the nested sequences with the original imported assets, but still the same end result.

I'm working with 1920 x 1080 assests at 23.97 fps.  I've worked with these before, no problem (though I haven't had to add so many effects before).

I'm working on an Intel Core i7-3770 GPU @ 3.40 GHz 10 GB.

Photoshop :: CS4 Display Driver Error

Apr 14, 2009

I have a user who is using Photoshop CS4 on a Dell Optiplex 745, with onboard Intel video. Since I read that Photoshop now uses OpenGL heavily in its operations, and also understanding that OpenGL support is pretty bad on Intels integrated video, we put an Nvidia GeForce8400 card in the PCIExpress slot, and loaded the latest drivers from Nvidia (version 182.50 currently). The user reports he periodically gets the attached error message, "Photoshop has encountered a problem with the display driver and has temporarily disabled GPU enhancements. Check the video card manufacturers website for the latest software"... Knowing that some other OpenGL-enabled software is picky about what version of Nvidia graphics drivers are installed, I wonder if this is what we're seeing here...

When I go to the settings in PS, it tells me that there is a problem with my display driver so I cannot use GPU graphics processing. I would really like these features to be available to me, especially since my GPU meets the recommendations by Adobe. I installed the latest driver from AMD.

I seem to be having an issue with my display driver. Everytime I open Adobe Photoshop, I get an error that photoshop has encountered an error with my display driver, and it does not display images properly (they seem to be very low resolution).

I checked my drivers, and everything is up to date. I even ran Windows Update just to be sure.

Photoshop :: Error :: Display Driver And Has Temporarily Disabled GPU Enhancements

Jan 25, 2009

when I start photoshop, I get a message saying: "Photoshop has encountered a problem with the display driver and has temporarily disabled GPU enhancements. Check the video card manufacturer's website for the latest software. GPU enhancements can be enabled in the Performance panel of Preferences."

I have the latest graphics drivers installed, but this message does not always occur when I start Photoshop although the driver does not change. So, I guess there might be some other reason causing this error message.

I am running Photoshop on a Thinkpad with Windows XP Professional.

Photoshop :: CS2 Stopped Responding

Aug 23, 2006

I have been running Photoshop CS2 on my computer for about a month now, the full version, activated and registered. For some reason whenever I open a file, Photoshop stops responding; all it does is make a sound ("dun") sound whenever I click on the Photoshop window. The only button that works is the minimize button; I have to use Windows Task Manager to close the program.

Does anyone have any ideas what's going on and how I can fix this?

Revit :: Stopped Responding - Export To NWC File

Aug 2, 2012

I have a larger Revit file that has linked in models (mutiple buildings - each bldg is its own model)

I need a COMPLETE file for Navisworks...

When I go to Revit, and try to export to NWC file, it starts the export process... about 40 minutes in (YES, 40 mins, it just loads and loads and loads) I will get an error message that "Revit has stopped responding"

This is now the 3rd time today I have tried this with no success. I also tried loading into Navisworks directly (Nav 2013) but will not read the files properly and bring them in together.

I know Revit 2012 is capable of exporting linked models to a single NWC file... however my computer does't seem to like it. I even just sat and read a book and did not internet serach or running any other programs at the time....

I NEED THIS TO WORK

Exporting each individual Revit model to NWC and recompling them in Navisworks IS NOT AN OPTION.

I need to export this large linked Revit file as ONE nwc file.. I know it CAN be done...

My laptop is fairly newer and has like 8gb of ram, so that shouldn't be the problem, is it?

After this, if I open or create a new doc, the files look fine.  If I zoom into the blank space, it will eventually draw in properly. This is on any file I open. The files are intact. This is on Win 7 x64, Updated CS6 x64.

AutoCAD 2010 :: Missing Display Driver?

Nov 6, 2012

I've been working with a firm for 6 weeks now, and had no major AutoCAD problems for the first 5 weeks.  We're running AutoCAD 2010 on my machine, and it crashes quite often when I close drawings, which is quite annoying.  But last week after opening a series of drawings to print some stuff for the boss, and CAD crashing after every 1 or 2 prints, I got the message:

A display driver file (.hdi) is missing or has been corrupted. The program will be closed.

This problem may be caused by missing .hdi files in the following location:

C:program filesAutoCAD Architecture 2012drv

I ran a repair, then did a reinstall, and when neither of those worked I just uninstalled and reinstalled the whole program.  I still got the error message, but I had opened AutoCAD Architecture and was using that instead for a bit and saw Autodesk do an update in the background.  So I booted up AutoCAD 2010 and it was working again so I guess it fixed the problem.  I used it for a few more days then yesterday I had to open and print another series of drawings for the boss and it crashed again after every one, as usual, and when I sat back down and tried to open up a drawing to work on it I got the same error message again.  Frustrated and angry, I switched over to AutoCAD Architecture and imported my Classic setting and used that for the next day.  But this morning I had to open and print 3 more drawings for the boss and Architecture crashed after every one, then it started giving me the same error that regular AutoCAD has been giving me about the missing .hdi file.  I copied the drv folder from a co-worker's computer and replaced mine with the working one, but neither version of AutoCAD is working again.

So I ask, what do I do now?  I can't keep uninstalling and reinstalling AutoCAD every week because of these crashes and missing .hdi files.  I need a real fix, something to fix the constant crashes and missing files.  Sometimes I have to open multiple drawings to pull blocks or whatever from an older drawing, and I can't risk CAD crashing after I close these drawings and me possibly losing some work on the file I am actually working on at the time.  this is making me way less productive at work spending all this time trying to get AutoCAD to work.

AutoCAD LT :: Display Driver Is Missing Or Corrupt (HDI)

Apr 10, 2013

I just got a new laptop, it's totally clean.

Installed F-secure and made exceptions rules for all Autodesk related stuff

Installed Office-package.

Downloaded and installed Autocad LT 2014, no problems detected but when I start I get this error message.

I got less then 2 hours to fix this and a few other things I havn't gotten to yet and I need this laptop up and running tomorrow for a seminar.

"A display driver file (.HDI) is missing or has been corrupted. The program will be closed."

This problem may be caused by missing .hdi files in the following location: "Autodesk>Autocad LT 2014>Drv>

I can't find the specified file under the folder so I'm guessing it is missing, any quick fixes for this?

Photoshop :: CS5 - Driver Error Leads To Constant Crash In CS6

Jun 21, 2013

I was using CS5.1 for a while with no problems. Everything went well until one day it gave me an error on hardware acceleration. All it did was give me a scrubby zoom. I spent a few days researching it and eventually gave up on finding a solution.

So I thought I'd try out CS6, to see if it fixed anything. It doesn't. It's worse, even. It crashes randomly at various actions (like switching tools, changing layers, saving), and it crashes without fail if I use liquefy or transform a layer and then try to duplicate it (I'm just trying to make a gif, darnit!) If I'm just drawing and erasing and using undo, it doesn't crash as much. Scrubby zoom is still a problem.

My driver is up to date according to the HP website:Intel High-Definition (HD) Graphics Driver2010-12-03 , Version:8.15.10.2189, 78.05MIt's really old, but HP isn't updating it. I've tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it. Moot point. The driver is compatible with OpenGL.

I also tried this driver, but apparently it's not compatible.

Additional info/things I've tried: Processor: Intel Core i5 CPU M 450 @ 2.40GHZ 2.40 GHzRAM: 4GBSystem type: 64-bit No third-party plug-ins. 60% memory available to Photoshop. Photoshop is updated to the latest version.Windows is updated (I spent a freggin day trying to figure that out because updates were frozen, and then spent 3 hours trying to figure out why F8 wouldn't bring up advanced boot options so I can delete old update logs so I can update windows so I can get photoshop working--TO NO AVAIL) GPU support option is greyed out, so it's already turned off.

When it crashes, all Windows says is "Adobe Photoshop CS6 has stopped working". Then the details afterwards note "files that describe the problem", which include...

The C:UsersBaniAppDataLocalTempWER7781.tmp.WERInternalMetadata.xml file, which states:

-<WERReportMetadata>-<OSVersionInformation><WindowsNTVersion>6.1<Build>7601 Service Pack 1<Product>(0x1): Windows 7 Ultimate<Edition>Ultimate<BuildString>7601.18113.amd64fre.win7sp1_gdr.130318-1533<Revision>1130<Flavor>Multiprocessor  Free<Architecture>X64<LCID>1033</LCID>
-<ParentProcessInformation>

[Code]......

The C:UsersBaniAppDataLocalTempWER9D1B.tp.appcompat.txt is on pastebin here: [URL]

So I looked up other issues regarding "aticfx64.dll", and nothing works. My last options are either to downgrade again, or to upgrade my video card, but I don't know what kind of video card I need.
