Oct 6, 2011I have a drawing where I need to open the layer manager to turn on a layer in a view port but cannot get to that particular column. As you look across the top of the layer manager I can see all the headings of each column beginning with "Name", "Status", "On" and so forth. The last column heading I see is "Description" but I need to go even further to the right to get to the column I need to be at but can't get there. There is no scroll button on the bottom of the layer manager which would allow me to do that.

Oct 15, 2012I'm developing a VB.NET framework 4.0 that must works with Inventor 2013 and Vault.
My *BIG* problem is to obtain a simply image (bmp, jpeg, whatever you want) of the ActiveDocument in Inventor when the user add the file inside Vault (VaultCheckinTop) - my goal is to create a detail technical pdf report and store it in our database.
I'm able to create ALL (get iProperties, etc) but i cannot take a snapshot of the ActiveDocument.
I've tried both Apprentice way and ClientView way registering the old-know "InventorThumbnailViewLib", without success.
I cannot (and i don't want!!) use the VisualBasic.Compatibility method because it's ultra-deprecated, and i cannot use too the VBA scripting because my application it's create in VB.NET.
replicate in "silent mode" at runtime the "Export to Immage" command of Inventor.I have read all similar post found on the net, without success

Nov 28, 2011Every time I launch Xara, I want the page and layer gallery to be at "layer level" mode, however it is only showing it at "page level" mode. Is there a way to make it default to layer level? It can get pretty redundant to have to click on that page to open it every time.

We are in a Windows Domain where each student logs in using their own user ID and password to a Windows XP Pro computer. When a Student logs in and uses VideoStudio, Take a Snapshot does not work. If I log in as an Administrator that feature works. So there is a file permissions issue - but I can not find which file/folder I need to give the students rights to. I have given the Corel folder in the Programs folder Modify rights. I also have given the Corel folder in the All Users | Documents and Settings | Application Data (hidden) folder Modify rights. Neither change has worked.

My question is - I can duplicate the assembly via the snapshot tool easily enough and they all follow each other as expected...but how can I now copy my previous set up animation onto the new cloned assemblies?
Is there a way to copy and paste the original animation - then either time shift via the curve editor or % on path controllers?
AutoCAD Inventor :: How To Unlock Master View To Be Able To Save It With Planes Turned Off
Mar 30, 2012Ok I am struggling with this again. Some how when my assembly was made I had several work planes visable on several subassemblies. No big deal, I will just go to the subassemblies, turn them off and save them and all will be fixed right? Wrong, the assembly still opens with the work planes showing. So I expand the subassemblies and turn the visability off in the top level assembly. Now when I attempt to save the assembly I am told that the master view is locked and I need to create a new view. But I don't ever want all the work planes on and I don't want to create a new view because that leads to not being able to save a linked assembly or drawing if the wrong thing is open somewhere.
How do I unlock the master view to be able to save it with the planes turned off?
Photoshop :: Making A Snapshot As The Clone Source?
Jun 20, 2012I'm struggling in Photoshop with a large number of scanned B/W photos from the '50s and '60s with wide areas of dust and scratches. Dreading the prospect of tedious cloning or healing, I googled for "Dustbusting 101 in Photoshop".
Make a copy of the background layer, select this layer, go to FILTER > NOISE > DUST & SCRATCHES. Set the Threshold to 0 and increase the radius setting until most of the scratches and dust disappear. Add some noise to this layer so that it closely matches your original image. Use this layer to "paint" in the dust and scratches, to do this make sure this background copy is still selected, go to EDIT > TAKE SNAPSHOT. Then select the original background and turn off the background copy layer. Click on the cloning tool and in the options box choose FROM SNAPSHOT. If the dust or scratches are light use the DARKEN MODE for the cloning tool (this will only fill in the light areas and will not affect the other areas of the image). If the dust or scratches are dark use the LIGHTEN MODE for the cloning tool and go over these areas. For this technique you should use a small brush size, although it is tempting to rush through it using a large brush."
I am stymied when I get to the part which says: "... Click on the cloning tool and in the options box choose FROM SNAPSHOT. ..."
Paint Shop Pro :: Pasting Acrobat Snapshot In X4
Jun 25, 2013I have a problem pasting an Adobe Acrobat snapshot as new picture in PSP4. Pasting it directly e.g. to MS Word works fine, but I would need some of the snapshots also as a jpg file.
I use the Adobe Acrobat X (ver 10.1.2) Standard snapshot tool to copy a picture and then try to paste it to PSP4 as new image. The result is every time the same: about 7 mm slice from the right is moved to the left side of the image. See attachment.
The attached file is an example showing 7 mm slice from right side of the image on the left side.

After some though, I decided I wanted to change the crop, so I went back to the original image, and re-cropped it. Fine, But now I wanted to re-apply some of the changes made in the Snapshot. How can I see the steps that I went through to create the snapshot? I saw Update with Current Settings on the sub-menu (right click) for the snapshot, but wasn't sure if that was what i wanted to do.

Apr 30, 2012I am looking to see if I missed a setting somewhere. I have hunted extensively, but the ability to set a view to a specific layer seems to be unavailable. What I woudl liek to be able to do is define the layer that the viewport is inserted on when I bring a view into a sheet using the sheetset manager. I love this system, but it does slow me down in that regard. If there is a setting or preference that I can switch to make that happen or am I going to have to write something to do it for me.

Mar 1, 2013In my template, is there a way to setup a layer filter or layer state to automatically plot a different viewport color when a new drawing is created and viewports are made? Note, my template does not have viewports premade.
I've set all my Existing and Proposed Utilities to use the WV Miss Utility colors, but I designated either pale (odd color#) for existing and bold (even color#) for proposed so that in model space there's a visual difference. See a few examples below:
V-SSWR-PIPE (color 91)
V-WATR-PIPE (color 151)
C-SSWR-PIPE (color 92)
C-WATR-PIPE (color 152)
Our Civil dept doesn't use colors, but our Utility dept does occasionally especially when Aerials are used.
When we create layouts/viewports in a drawing, it would be nice to have viewport layer colors automatically be set to plot black or gray or be on/off depending on existing conditions sheet or proposed site plan sheet. The only way I know of is if I would set up viewports inside my template with VP Color Overrides preset and/or VP freezes for certain layers, which I'm hesitant in doing.
AutoCad :: Layer State Overrides To View Ports Using Filter
Jan 18, 2013When I save layer states overrides for a certain view port and mane it e.g. "K", in layer state manager current layer state is shown as "K", but when I change layout and come back to this one, in layer state manager current layer state is shown as *UNSAVED* again!!!
This results in a great problem. If I update layer state "K" it does not update all view ports that should have layer state "K" automatically so I have to go trough all of them again and apply "K" again and again after any change to "K" is made.

AutoCAD 2013 :: Base View Layer Properties Retention
Dec 19, 2012If there was a way to retain original object layer properties when in base view. IE I have 4 layers, each with a different color. I would like to create a base view, and still keep the object layer colors. Is there a work around for this? Or should I just do an elevation and work through VP's?
