I am creating a plugin in .Net and pondering the possibility of having a preview window? Example, say I had a plugin that created a custom 3D object and there were options in creating it, is it possible to have a preview window with a 360° orbital rotation rendered and spinning in the palette?
View 3 RepliesI'm having a problem with my properties window or floating palette. When I select an object, such as a "line", my properties palette refreshes itself for about 3 seconds. When I hit esc, or deselect the line, it takes another 3 seconds to refresh itself. You can even see the properties palette start at the top and go blank as it travels downward. Very slow process, I can not get anything done. IF I close my properties palette, it does not have the delay, but I can not work without it. When I reboot, it works fine for about 5-6 selections, then jams back up.

All read only and custom libraries are represented in this way.
While I was messing with the HSV values in the pallette window I noticed that often some of the values would change from what I'd specified by increments of 1 or 2. I understand that this is a pretty small change but I still found it bothersome that something was keeping me from having complete control over what I wanted the color to be.
Is this intentional? Is this some overlooked bug? Is this common in other digital art programs? Some unavoidable result of whatever is used to calculate the color values? Something I'm missing here?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've found this a most irritating issue already since CS1.I use Pantone colors a lot in my designs and always have the Pantone Solid Coated Color book open in Illustrator. However, no matter how often I save workspace, as soon as I close Illustrator and restart the color book has disappeared from my palette settings and locations. I have to re-open the color book every single time.What is the problem with this? How can all the other windows be saved in the workspace settings and preferences, but not the color books?
And why is this issue not yet addressed, when it's been coming up already since CS1? It's not a computer / preferences file issue.CS1, CS3, CS5 and now CS6 were all installed on a brand new (empty save for operating system) computer.
I've just downloaded VS11 plus TBYB and now I`m trying to make some DVD disk. All is o.k. but i can not see the disc preview.All i see on the black "preview window" is the record "Press "Play" button to start preview" .After i press the button i see the progress bar shortly and nothing more happens.

In PSE 10 it was possible to use all tools in one palette with one click in the Quick-Mode. Now in PSE 11 we have to open each individual tool before we can use it? After the action this tool closed, so that we have to open it again in the next step. This takes much more time. Is ist possible to switch back to the arrangement of PSE 10?
I just upgraded to windows 7 and now there is a blank preview window when I try to capture. I have tried capturing in both DV and DVD and no preview. I am capturing via firewire from a VHS. This worked perfectly under windows xp but is not working under 7. It seems that it does capture but I cannot preview in order to find my spot on the tape.

When I play the video I have been working on, it runs the video at about 1 frame per second or so, and renders the program useless. The odd thing is, when I select an individual clip and click run, it runs at a proper frame rate.
Is there some sort of codec or driver that I am missing?

As a work-round----Change the project properties to use 1920 x 1080 and your images will be 1920 x 1080.

Ok now the screen shots should all use the larger image size.
In Max 2009 I could rotate the sphere in the sample slots to inspect how the material looks. In Max 2012 when I press and drag the middle mouse button the sphere won't rotate.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI am using VideoStudio Pro X3 and trying to understand some behavior in the program. I have some AVI files which I added to the gallery. If I play the video from the gallery in the preview window, the exposure appears correct. But when I pause the video, the image becomes darker (with more contrast). I've attached 2 image captures which demonstrate. After the video clip is added to the timeline, playing or pausing the clip will also appear darker. After I trim and create a new AVI and watch both in Windows Media Player, the original is brighter and the edited video is darker. What is causing this change to the video's exposure??
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I select photos in library or on the video track they go black in preview window... nothing appears. But not all... some don't go black. This happens after working on project for 15-20 minutes. When I first start up computer they all appear in preview when selected. No problem then. Same if I shut down and restart computer. Only after working on project awhile does it happen. Also after some time working I get window saying no memory. I thought with 4 ram I could work for hours before getting any problems like this. I plug in my external WD Passport HD only for backups. And with MacShield filter turned off, still have problem. Could it be the VS Pro X5 software?

For some reason, every texture included (as well as one that I made in Photoshop), shows up in the Texturization window with a resolution of about 20 x 20 pixels. Even the simple sandy texture I made with Photoshop is displayed with poor resolution.
When I try File >> Place >> sand_texture.psd and drag it into the Swatches window, the texture isnt added no matter what I try.

I recently got a new pc, installed X3 and transferred my project files and relinked my clips for the current project i'm working on but when I went to preview my work it does not display the video instead just shows a green screen. It does this in both the timeline and the preview window.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI recently purchased VSP4 and when capturing from Panasonic camera via fire wire, the preview window remains blank but capture is successful. I can preview video on LCD screen of camera but that is all. All the settings seem to be ok. (PAL). However, the options panel is greyed out except for insert to timeline option. Also, the video properties in the options panel are all greyed out. I have a previous version VS3 on another computer which shows the preview window OK on capture. Could this be the integrated video card in my new computer or is there something else going on here?

I am using Paint Shop Pro X5 Ultimate.The Preview Window of the Manage Tab seemed to be displaying photos oddly - the photo wasn't filling the preview window (it was leaving an area around the bottom and right-hand side of the photo). At first I thought it was just the zoom setting, so I zoomed in. However, I have now used several features of the software that seem to show that the Preview Window (only on the Manage Tab) is incorrectly displaying the preview.
The problem became further evident when I used the Find People feature of Paint Shop Pro to locate the faces and tag several people, however the position of the tags are as if the Preview Window is filled by the photo. I have attached a screenshot that shows that the tag for the person in the bottom right-hand corner of the photo has her tag positioned off the photo (outside of the border of the photo) to the bottom and right of the photo even though it was automatically placed by the software. The position of the tags for the people in the photo are all offset slightly to the right and down and would be correct only if the photo was displaying correctly in the Preview Window.
I have tested uploading the photos to Facebook and the tags appear correctly once on Facebook. If I manually tag the faces as they appear on the Preview Window, the tags are incorrectly placed once the photo has been uploaded to Facebook (they appear up and to the left of where the face is positioned in the photo.
I have tried resetting the preferences and turning off some display features of Microsoft Windows, but I have seen to changes in the Preview Window.
Properties of your source files (format, file size, where did you get it?) The example photo was taken in .jpg format using a Nikon D3100 and 18-200mm Nikon DX lens, though this affects my entire photo collection taken on several different cameras and in several different formats (including RAW).
What devices are involved and their mode of connection? The files were transferred directly from the camera to the computer using a USB cable. Project Properties:I was using the Manage tab to sort photos and tag people using the Find People feature and also tried manually tagging faces.
I have VSP X4 Ultimate and a Panasonic TM900K. I have been recording mostly in 1080p for the best quality, but I have notice when compared to VLC or another editor, the preview window's quality is very poor. On my 1080P monitor it looks no better than a DVD. This, in of itself, is not a big issue, but it does make it hard to use VSP X4 to do fine video corrections.
The one that is is when I play down-converted videos from VSP X4 (To 7Kbps DVD) the quality is visibly worse than with my other editor. I have been testing on my playstation (just playing the mpeg 2 files via my media server) (the PS3 is set not to up-convert). When I try to do the same thing on my computer using VLC I do not see much of a difference, but VLC is doing a lot to render on the PC (de-interlacing and all).
I can't view RAW thumbnails when I go into the open dialog (not organizer) just regular file/open in PSE10. (win 7 x64). (Sony alpha 33)

.jpg images from wither the same camera or another camera display fine.
How can I get my image to center in the Print Preview window? (Epson R2000, 12 x 12, borderless). No matter where or how I change the settings, the Print Preview window shows my image has been cut off on the right hand and bottom edges. Hence, I cannot get a 12 x 12 borderless image to center on a 12 x 12 sheet of scrapbook paper.
