Photoshop :: Saving Format At Less Time While Working With Larger Format That Is Over 5 GBs?
Jun 4, 2013I am working on a 3' x 10' banner with 300dpi in Photoshop and it takes all of my time to do the extra tools to do, and it takes 10 minutes to save it or more. I have powerbook and CS6 on me. I put the highest memory in Photoshop preference. So I am bearing to work with it for hours for one small assignment, but why does it takes so long? is there a better way to do to save time and speed to make the poster banner to look greater than life? even in 200 dpi?

I am running AutoCAD 2009 and the drawings are "tables" per say.....with a generic block template from an engineering company, along with text and the company logo.
Is there a way to bring this into excel for easy formatting as i am not an experienced or trained AutoCAD person.....

Jan 10, 2013Having trouble with sending drawings out in dwg format with photographs on, ok with pdf's. Ihave tried different methods, copied and pasted photos, (made sure they are small file size). I have tried to attach image in x-ref manager, is there a way to bind the photos into the drawing?
I have sent drawing out but lost images, also i sent drawing out zipped up with folder with photos. Using relative path, i still cant get it to work. What is correct method to insert images into a drawing so they are bound in? is there a way.

Nov 21, 2011I am looking for a way to force all DWG files created with previous versions of AutoCAD to automatically open "Read Only". For example, using Civil 3D 2011, I open a file that is a 2007 format DWG. I want this file to automatically open read only, and inform the user that it has opened read only.
I'm hoping that this is possible, since opening a 2007 format DWG in a newer AutoCAD already tells you that it's an older format in the command line, and files can already be opened as read only.

AutoCAD LT :: Hatch Pattern Preview Not Working On Some Drawings?
May 28, 2013For unknown reason the hatch pattern preview does not work on some drawings - I have tried turning HPQUICKPREVIEW off and on but this does not make any difference. Also the hatch palette images boxes are blank at times (I have to slect the update tool image to get them back). This only happens on some drawings (others work fine).

Oct 24, 2013I have a huge problem with my Autocad 2013 for MAC, everything is running nice and steady except for one detail, everytime I open the dimension style format to make a new dimension style, autocad freezes (only autocad, rest of my mac keeps working normally) and I cant work anymore, I have to force quit the program and re-open it, but the dimension style I created gets lost. is there something i can do? i already tried by uninstalling it and reinstalling it and this problem doesnt go.
also im new in this discussion groups so if this topic doesnt belongs here let me know before deleting it so i can put it where it belongs

AutoCAD LT :: Constant Blue Screens When Working Between Drawings 2014
Aug 29, 2013We have a persistant blue screen. Stop Error 0x124 and 0x122.
PC spec:
Core i7 3.4Ghz
16GB RAM
GeForce 560Ti GTX
Intel DX79SI main board
Ever since we installed CAD LT 2014 we have persistant BsoDs on two PC's.
I have tried the GFX Hotfix. Seem to work for 2 weeks and now again a stop error 0x122.
The PC drivers are up to date, latest BIOS, all possible updates that are availible are install, even tried to disable the InfoCentre.
We did do clean Installs, swopped hardware. It keeps happening on 2 of the 8 PC's we have.
Would watching movies in the background have an effect? I am at the end of my diagnosis.
There are no hardware failure when running benchmarks or burn in tools. Only in CAD
AutoCAD LT :: 2012 Crash When Working On Previous Version Drawings
Mar 12, 2012The company I am working for has the old 2000 version of AutoCad. They send me drawings with blocks and attributes. But when I start working on them the system will lock up and not let me do anything else. I can maybe get two or three commands in then it will lock up. It doesn't even let me send a C.E.R. (customer error report) I have downloaded all of the service packs and the hot fixes but the problem persists. I don't where to go from here. My co worker thinks it may be a memory problem but I doubt it.

Apr 9, 2013I just recently updated to the Creative Cloud and now when I'm trying to save my file in Photoshop to any file format other then PSD, it will randomly choose a file format that I didn't choose.
For example, if I choose to save the file as a jpg, the file extension after the name at the top will say iff. No matter what I choose, nothing matches the file extension being shown at the top. So, I have to go through each file format to see which one will show the jpg extension

When I start up PSE11 and go to print I set up the paper size then select a Printer Profile. When print the image it is a mess and seem to be black and white it is as if I printed on the wrong side of the paper.
I then go and try to print it again. Now it all works as it should beutiful colours and spot on. all other print following this works.
Then I shut down PSE11. Start it up again. Guess what first print is a mess again. all others after are fine.
I uninstalled PSE11, deleted prefs. and reinstalled PSE11. Same thing.. first print a mess all others ok.
no problems with PSE10 or PSE9.
AutoCAD LT :: Can't Copy / Paste Between Drawings/ Incomprehensible Heavy Drawings
Dec 28, 2012I'm using ACAD LT 2008.
When i try to copy paste some drawing entities from a heavy drawing file to any other file, the program blocks and says 'not responding', endlessly. So i always have to shutdown the program. I experience the same problem using the designcenter: when I try to copy a layout into another drawing, my computer gets stuck.
Another annoying problem with these files is that they are so heavy, while in fact they shouldn't be. I tried the aectoacad file command. In result the file id half as big, but after I open it and save it, again is the original size.
AutoCAD LT :: Publish Drawings To Overwrite Existing PDF Drawings
Apr 2, 2013Every now and then I go back and try to use publish to speed up printing but I always go back to plotting one by one.
I work in a housing construction office and I have 10 separate drawings side by side in model space for house plans that I need plot separate to give to certain people. My problem isn't that I can't publish them separately its that I can't save them over existing pdf's individually predetermined.
Q1. do i just have to go through and change every layout name before or after i publish?
Q2. how do i change the output publish location?
Q3. can each layout be saved to a different existing pdf and remember it?
Q3. can i save these setting across to a new drawing?

Sep 25, 2013What is the best export/import format for sending 3D files. I need some neutral format files, possibly Solidworks but I am not sure. Also any export settings to make sure I get decent quality files.
Nothing like getting a surface model when you want solid model.

AutoCAD Architecture :: Images Not Appearing In Large Format PDF (small Format Okay)
Sep 13, 2012We have a computer that using AutoCAD Architecture 2013 and Acrobat 9 Standard. When printing a large sheet (30"x42") with images in it to a PDF the images do not appear in the newly created PDF. However, if the same file is printed to fit an 11x17 the images display correctly. Any thoughts as to why the large sheet size is not printing properly?

Jun 12, 2012I am having a problem with Autocad12 I am using at a friends office: we both can open, edit, and save the same drawing. This is a real problem as you can imagine. We are running Windows 7 and are using DROPBOX for file storage. DWL are being created but for some reason they are not being used. On the otherhand if I try to open a file I created I do actually get locked out - just not from the other computer.
Just did a test - when I log in directly to the hard drive instead of the network it locks me out if I attempt to load it. If I login through DROPBOX it does not.
how I can have autocad recognize the lock files in DROPBOX folders?

Jan 15, 2012I draw several different drawings in the same dwg file - just offset from each other in the XY-plane.
I want to bring these together on top of each other to form the complete picture, but I'm not sure how to accomplish this in an easy way. If it was a one time thing I would just use the Move command, but the goal is also for the combined picture to be updated as the separate drawings are changed - not realtime - but maybe in some x-ref kinda way.
The whole thing would be easy if the separate drawings were also separate files, but as they are not I'm not sure how to solve it...
AutoCad :: LT 13 To Compare The Two Drawings?
Jul 3, 2012I'm currently running AutoCAD LT 2013, and I've been asked to compare two dwg files; one has been drawn using LT 2013 and the other has been drawn using an older version of the software.
Is there any way or any plug that can be used in LT 13 to compare the two drawings?
I've looked online and the only program i can find is Furix but that doesnt allow for usage on the LT version of autoCAD.
AutoCad :: How To Scale Drawings At 1 1/2
Dec 1, 2011I worked in a drawing(#1) a few weeks ago and since then have copy pasted the drawings to be scaled at 1 1/2" into another drawing(#2) and have since been only working in this drawing(#2).
In the original drawing(#1), I was able to scale my drawings at 1 1/2" without any problems but in my second drawing(#2), when I try to scale drawings at 1 1/2" all of my annotative bubbles get ridiculously small.
Once having discovered this, I copy pasted my second drawing'(#2) components into a 'Copy' of my original drawing(#1), thinking that my second drawing(#2) file might have been contaminated, but with no luck because I could see that within the Same viewport scaled at 1 1/2" the original drawing(#1) was scaled properly but the second drawing'(#2) symbols became very small.
I am stuck.

When my 3D vieuwport is properly set in my layout page. I try to plot my layout. when i've compledet my plotsettings I first check out that everyting is ok. and evrything looks great. but when I plot everything is plotted exept the 3D drawing. althoug the 3d drawing is shown on the plot preview. (look at pdf's to see what I mean).
