AutoCAD .NET :: Detect View Change To Automatically Reposition Block Entity
Nov 17, 2013I would like to detect view change (especially when orbiting the view around) to automatically reposition table-like(block) entity such that the user can always see the face of the entity.
I figured out that there is viewChanged event in AcEditorReactor, but it doesn't seem like it is visible in .NET.
How could I use this callback function?

Jun 11, 2013When I create a model space view; then drag it on the sheet; shouldn't they be linked? I mean if I go into the View drawing, move the drawing in question, then update the model space view, shouldn't that update the sheet view automatically? Theoretically speaking of course; we are talking AutoCad.

I never had it in inv.pro.2010 and earlier versions.

Dec 1, 2011I have an assembly with a subassembly in it. The subassemblies bom structure is set on Normal so that the subassembly number shows on the main assembly BOM and not the individual parts.
However when I place the parts list on the .idw of the main menu it keeps on selecting the parts structure for the BOM, I need it to select the structured view. How do I get it to select the structured view on the BOM so that the BOM does not show the individual parts of the subassembly?
I have made sure that the parts view on the BOM in the source assembly is disabled.
AutoCAD Inventor :: When Extruding Sketch Screen Automatically Switches To ISO View
Oct 3, 2012I have just upgraded to 2013, and there is one "feature" I find kind of distracting. When working in a part, I create a new sketch. When I extrude that sketch, Inventor automatically switches me to an Iso view. I don't want that. I would prefer to stay in the view that I established.
Is there a way to turn that off?
AutoCad :: Automatically Change Numbers In A Drawing
Dec 21, 2012I have a drawing that draws from a .dxf template, this drawing is for a piece that travels along on a basket. Often times there's more than one "traveler" so in order for me to differentiate each traveler I added an "XX of XX" on the template, the XX's referring to the traveler number and the total travelers (i.e. 01 of 03).
Before I print out the sheet I have to replace the XX's with the real numbers then I can print it, so if theres 45 travelers i have manually click each time and then type the number in, 01 of 45, 02 of 45, 03 of 45... 45 of 45. Is there a way I can get this process automated like where I'm asked how many sheets I need then it automatically populates the sheet?
AutoCAD 2013 :: Setting Layers To Automatically Change?
May 23, 2012Is there a way in AutoCAD 2013 to have it automatically change to a certain layer when you do common tasks. I am wondering if there is a system variable, or a routine that I could automatically load when I start AutoCAD to do this. It would also be nice that the layer would then go back to the original layer that was being used prior to the command. What are my options for doing this.
For instance when I load an xref I would like it to go on the layer; A-XREF. When I insert a block I would like it to go on the layer; 0, when I create a new dimension I would like it to go on the A-DIMS layer, when I create a hatch it would set to the layer A-WALL-PATT, when I add a leader with text it would go to A-ANNO-NOTE, etc..

Mar 16, 2014If I go to Edit and choose "Select none", they are deselected for a a few brief seconds and then highlighted again. If I go to another photo, it leaves one of the previous photos selected and also selects the second photo. I've tried restartting Lightroom, restarting Windows 8.1, all to no avail.

May 28, 2012The loupe view on the second screen used to display information about the photo. I double clicked on it and it disappeared and no matter what I do I can't seem to get it back.
On the primary screen this can be added/removed or changed in Library Module by selecting the menu view->view options... which gets you to a settings window where you can set what shows. However, I cannot seem to find a similar thing for the second monitor.

Later on, I'll want to change it but the increments have changed to millimeters. The only way I can change it back is by pulling up the full outline options window. Mine doesn't seem to work automatically. After reconnecting i have to save the metadata for the changed files on the version of Lightroom with the samrt previews and then read the metadata on the primary version of Lightroom. Do both versions of Lightroom need smart previews installed? Should I use a certain procedure of which i'm not aware? I have an iMac for my main computer and a Mac Book Pro for the remote computer.

I am coming from AI CS4. In AI CS4 when you would open or creat a new document, your X Y origin would alway start on the lower left hand side.
Now when you open a new document in CS 6 the origin starts in the uper right. If I hand drag the ruler down to the lower left, the Y coordinant reads as a negative number.

Jan 25, 2013i already know how to change the viewport scaling from 1:1, to 1:10, to 1:20, and so on but my real issue is someone before me change the view scale from 1:1 to 1:.808XXXXX. when i print my figures from the layout everything that is not in the viewport ( like my scale bar) come out shorter that it is on the the screen in paper space. Ive tried to change it back to 1:1 but it wont accept it and keeps the .808XXX value.
