Is there a way/variable/command to center icon command inside a panel on the ribbon ?
Exemple: a panel with 3 rows, the first one with 3 commands, the second with only 2, and the third with 3.
And I'd like t have the 2 icons fron second row in the middle of the panel.
I am to find a way to put the object origin icon on the commands bar, it relocate, move and align objects easily. I can find it in the transformation docker but the icon will be easier for me to use.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI've just been messing about with the ribbon in Civil 3D 2013 and managed to create my own tab and add a panel with 3 rows. In one of them i have added the command BATTMAN. I've obviously added an icon and used button style 'Large with Text (Vertical)'.
I've noticed that on other buttons with longish names under them have wrapped text. How do i achieve this so say 'Block Attribute Manager' text would appear stacked under the button?
I noticed that there are two different sizes of the "T" icon in the layer panel. How did it happen?
View 4 Replies View RelatedA Levels Adj. Layer sits above a regular Layer. When I make a change with Levels, the image updates normally, but the icon of the image in the Layers Panel does not change--it always reflects its original appearance.
I believe that the icon updated in CS5. Am I dreaming? Is there a new setting?
I have an illustrator file with several hundred layers and objects. If I select an object for targeting in the Layers panel, is there a way that I can get the object to be displayed in the center of the workspace. I currently have to zoom in and pan the document to see the object.
Likewise, if I select an object in the document, is there a way to have that object appear in the center of the Layers panel? I currently have to scroll the Layers panel to find the parent layer, and then drill down through the child layers until I find my selected object.
I make a compound object, then when I resize it, it moves anchors around. Note the corners on the 3rd "8" -- they're pinched together. This is happening on a lot of different object
Edit: There are no "snaps" enabled.
The selected image appears on the main/center panel but not in the preview screen. Printing results in a white sheet of paper with no image at all. The image has been updated to LR 4 - but made no difference.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm having some fits with the constrained orbit center. It seems to me that It used to always be in the center of the screen when I would use Shift and CMB. Now it seems to be stuck on the center of my assembly/part. I know that I can hit F4 and long select LMB to re-center but I have never had to do that before the last day or two. I have uninstalled all the Beta Add ins I had installed and I have even uninstalled and reinstalled Inventor Pro 2014.
Is there an option somewhere that puts the default Orbit Center to the center of the screen?

Is there a reason why I can not open the actions panel from the timeline when I have the code panel docked and open in application frame? If I close the code panel I can view the actions panel. Why can't I have both open?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm sure this is mind-numbingly obvious and I am overlooking it, but when I go to use the rotate tool, the center point of the rotation is defaulting to the center of the artboard, not the selected group of objects. How do I change that to default to rotating on the selection center by default?
PS. This is Illustrator CC (17.0.2) on a Mac running 10.9, if that is relevant.
When I try to print and select "center" the image does not center on the page. CS5 worked fine originally but after the last update it too seems to have this issue. From what I can observe it seems as if someone thought that showing the printable area on a page was useful and somehow that may have been worked into the calculation of what centered (on the long dimension of a print) is. Engineering aside, if you actually try to sell your work, your client / customer only sees that the image is not centered on the physical sheet. They don't care about the printable area. The only work around I have found is to uncheck "center" and key in 50% of the difference between the actual print size and the actual paper size as a margin. I don't want to scale prints. I need to print to specific dimensions.
For reference I am using a PC running Windows 7 and an Epson 4900 printer
I have wanted to know how to create things like circle gradients from the exact center of the canvas.
I know how to create a gradient, but the problem is, it's really hard to pin point exactly where the center of the canvas is, and sometimes I need it to be as perfect as possible.

~Dimension command switches to my Dimension layer
~Leader command switches to my Text layer
I don't have my Line command set to any layer. I switch layers before drawing a line. I like drawing lines on different layers as needed. I don't like the default to be the Object layer.
Is it possible to have a pop menu open when I select a command to choose a layer? I would like to set a second line command with that feature.
The issue I am having is I can't see some of my commands. For example, if i paste from the clip I cannot see whatever it is I pasted until I say where I want it.

I haven't undefined the default command, my definition of REFEDIT executes anyway. I wanna be able to run the default command from my definition.
doc.SendStringToExecute(".REFEDIT ", true, false, false); will loop forever.
I haven't had enough of an application to justify trying to figure it out. At this point however, i've designed a small conversion form that can be called by our engineers and allow them to convert between various units. I'd like to have a button though that allows them to call up the Quick Calc application from within AutoCAD. What i'm wondering is how do i actually call a native autoCAD command? Is it possible and if so where could i find documentation on the syntax. For what it's worth i'm working in C# in VS 2010.

I've kept the Extension Application loader that's part of the template, however commands that reside within my other classes aren't recognized. The extension is running because it's responding properly to events that trigger, however I can't call my custom command names from the command line. I'm using Application.ShowModalDialog to display a modal form to the user launched from a button on a tab in a PaletteSet. The modal dialog lets the user click a button to select a point. Is there any way that I can let the user run transparent commands and still return to the modal dialog?
The ideal would be for the user to be able to zoom and pan transparently from the GetPoint prompt. I could also provide a button to allow the user to reposition the drawing.

1. When I attempt to COPY or MOVE an object that has a line attached to it the line also moves with it. It seems as though AutoCAD is considering them as one unit instead of separate objects. This is especially frustrating when using lines to mark Datum placements.
2. Also, I notice that the above occurs when moving objects, but instead of moving a line with the selection it stretches it. I must have an option selected, but would like to change that.

Also, how do you change the F keys?
one of the pc at my work place seemed to be working funny, compared to the other pc.
For example, the command CO won't work, but instead i have to type CC to copy. The command MA doesn't work at all, and i don't know how to match properties.
Along the way, there are other commands that I encounter before. Basically, it jus feels funny for this PC.
Is there any way to restore every single setting without re-installing the autocad?
