I sometimes get a error message stating 'invalid arguments specified when working with database...' (see attachment). What causes these and can I fix them? The file opens and seems to work ok.

I just got Adobe Photoshop CS3. I started installing it and during the installation, the power cord got pulled over and the PC turned off! I turned the damn thing again and found out that the setup was not running!
Here are a few things I noticed:
Photoshop is in the registry but won't uninstall because the setup won't run.
The setup is alright and there is no problem or any file missing.
I tried the setup from my friend's CD but it gives the same error of my setup:
Critical errors were found in setup
- undefined
- The installer database is invalid; please re-install the product from the original media.

At my office we set the the survey database working folder for each individual project, but many times the individual working on the project forgets to set the folder to their particular project. Is there a way to set Civil up, so when you open a drawing it also opens the associated database?
Is importing all your text files then adding them to a database good practice? Doing it this way will not allow linework to function correctly, though?
For the past three days i have been working on a drawing in photoshop CS6. I was working on it this morning and it went just fine. I save it and when i quite the program a message appeared saying Photoshop has stoped working.
The file was still in the place i saved it, everything seemed ok so i took a brake. A few hours later i tried to open it again and a message apeared saying Photoshop could not open the file because it is not a valid Photoshop file I have tried to open previous .psd files and they worked just fine.
I have been using survey database with the working folder set to the project location on our Z:. It was working fine until I come into work this morning and I can no longer open survey databases on the server. I can set the working folder and I can create new databases on the server but I cannot access them. Moving the working folder to a local drive fixes everything.

and I want to have flexibility: if I use this routine as (TotalDays 1978 03 21), the program should substitute today's date with second date.
I know if I put "nil" instead of date for 2nd_date, It will not be an error, because:

Coworker opened a drawing that he created yesterday. Upon opening he received the following error - "Attempting to end an invalid transaction. Id: 2008125432". He hit OK and the program resumed. It did not crash. There is no red plus in the menu bar.

I derived in a part and I am trying to use a sketch from it in my new part.
I am trying to revolve my sketch and when I do I get this error.
I am using a English version, and I cant read chinese at all. Design doctor shows no errors, but this will not revolve. Tried Extruding and get the same error. When I try to revolve, it shows a preview of my part correctly, but when I click apply in the revolve dialog, that is when I get this error.
The files are attached and here is a video of my steps. In the zip file, the -M8.ipt needs the EOF marker moved all the way to the bottom.

i get an error message telling (invalid thread data table. Please check Thread.xls file.i tried to reinstall the windows and the autodesk inventor but the error keep appearing.

1 the first time i used, i made the bolted connection once, but at the second time i kept having this issue.
2 my last trial was installing a freh copy of the windows then install office and the inventor only but nothing changed

4 i searched the c drive for the file THREAD.xls, and i found three of it and i guess they are fine.
When working with an IAssembly I keep getting an error message that reads "an unnamed file contains an invalid path." I cannot seem to find a problem anywhere.

I have a 3D sketch consisting of 1 straight line, one spline with 4 points dictated by 'points' and an arc. All have tangential constrains to each other and I am looking to sweep a circle along this path to create a bent wire. I don't have anypictures or files as it is a stand alone computer at the moment.

arguments commented out, this script works in interactive mode,operating on the active drawable in the active image;the first two arguments to the function (orgImg and drw) are filled in automagically by the gimp when the script is activated.
The only way I have figured out how to use this from batch mode is toadd another script which contains the name of the base file to process:

This works, but neither procedure is making any use of what should be the first argument (missing from add-watermark above but present in batch-add-watermark) which is the mode.
I'm doing an script in python and i need use the map-object plug-in. I tried to use but always i have an error with the arguments and i can´t find out whats wrong.
I used reference examples of scm but didn't work, so one in python will be enough.
I am using inventor 2010 sp1. I have a content center part that I want to replace the family template. I am having problems doing so on random components. Sometimes it lets me and sometimes not. I cannot pinpoint any differences or irregularities between the different library parts.
I am recieving the message indicating..."Import Part Invalid"
Here is my process
Open from content center and save to another folder with or without the same name.
Open Content Editor
right click and replace family template
Recieve this message. "Import Part Invalid"
Note that i made no changes to the file.
Using VB2010 Express to practice writing code to run things in Inventor 2012. I am an extreme beginner at this, and I am trying out a simple program that opens up Inventor, and when you click a button, it will open up the filename listed in the subroutine. I have attached a .jpg of my code. The program will open Inventor, and open the file, but as soon as the file is finished loading and displays on the screen, it throws the error you see in the .jpg.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've got an error everytime I try to replace a Family template in my Content Center (I work with Inventor 2011).
I try with a simple part. Here's the steps:
1- Create a simple part (cube with Width, Height and Depth parameters)
2- Create an iPart with 12 members
3- Publish the part in the Content Center
4- Modify the part (add a column in table)
5- Save
6- Open Content Center Editor and click on Replace Family Template
Got the error: "Import Part is Invalid".
I tried "Save As" instead of "Save" and got the same result.

Its an SQL Crystal db on manufactor... but I dont know what is of the inventor...
I am looking for a material database with more steel types than the ones that are installed in inventor.
Is there a comprehensive database that I can download and install or do I need to add the material one by one.
Normaly I can just copy a existing steel and just use the existing properites and just change the name but I see a risk of this since in the future I may want to simulte a part and then the material data is not correct.

i have been provided a library for a plugin i have recently purchased. The library was kindly given to me but it isnt actually part of the addin so it comes with no support. It appears that it has been created in 2014 whereas i have 2013.
Can it be downgraded without downloading & installing 2014?
Can a library be downgraded to 2013 from 2014 without opening & saving each file separately? there are approx 1500 parts
parts are not interoperable within the software. There cant be that much difference between a 2013 & 2014 file surely.....
I have a program that populates an access database with part parameters. Each Inventor part can look up its own parameter values from the database when supplied with a single parameter, the ID number of the database record. The ID number is derived from a blank part that the program also updates. So in a nut shell, the program populates the blank part's parameters with all database ID numbers that would make up entire assembly. Those parameter values are derived to all the parts in an assembly. This is by far the fastest most efficient way I've found to rapidly generate an entire assembly. In a matter of seconds I can have a new 1000+ part assembly.
The rumor that Inventor will eventually sever ties with VBA has put this whole process in jeopardy. So I have been looking into using iLogic to perform the same task of looking up the data from Access. I know that iLogic has Excel functions built into it, but because the original program is Access based (changes this is not an option) any way to use iLogic to retrieve data from Access.
Using Inventor LT - path does not pull in the file from database when using Inventor LT. Inventor LT does launch but file does not open.

Also I cannot bring this assembly into a drawing because of unresolved issues, yet i have fixed all resolved issues. So we would like to have a field for each of the materials where we could choose the material spec. It would also be great if we could then be able to connect this to our BOM. View 1 Replies View RelatedI am currently trying to retrieve data from a MS Access Database, we currently have iProperties with number values in them. An outside programmer created a code which takes these values and exports them to an MS Access Database, where they are then translated to mean something.
Instead of exporting those numbers, I want to use them to find what they ACTUALLY mean within the database and bring that information back into iLogic. (ie. 123456 actually means "1/4 Flat Bar Steel")
In short, I wish to access the MS Access database through iLogic in order to read information from it.
I have searched for the better part of 3 hours but have not found a good answer or example code of this situation. I am not that experienced in programming, but have worked with the API before for developing Automated Drawings and have an understanding how to navigate through. If there were to be some example code, I can begin to understand the process quite well through this method as well by seeing how to go about coding this.
Ones every three years we have an upgrade of Inventor. In a few months we have an upgrade from Inventor Proffessionel 2009 to Inventor Prof. 2012. Since we often use special materials in our design process we also create/add the new material in the material database. So here's the question; is it possible to copy the material database (special mades) from Inv Pro 2009 to Inv Pro 2012? It would save us a lot of work!
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a single lic. copy of AutoCAD 2012 LT on a single PC tied to a network server. Our server crashed and needed to be replaced. When they replaced the server, they gave it a new name so I had to reset all the file paths to the redirected folders for my PC. Now I keep getting an error: cannot create temporary file (then shows the file path to the old server).
I have reset all the file location in the files section of the options box, so I do not understand where AutoCAD is still seeing the old server. Is there somewhere else in the software that I need to change the file paths?
