View 2 Repliesim trying to make some text appear over a texture, and as I've been using programs such as GIMP and Paint.net before I know from them that you can have layers do this. Layers have depth settings, so layer 1 will be the lowest and so on. But it don't find these settings in autocad.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI was sent the floor plan of a building and I am drawing the rcp. I am trying to add some dimensions but they are upside down. The ucs is at world and mirrtext is at 0. I don't know what to do now!
View 9 Replies View RelatedAll of a sudden this morning when I dimension something, my dimension text is upside down. It is only on one drawing and only on new dimensions. why nad how to correct?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have created an alignment in Civil 3D 2013, from 100+00 to 6740+00 and Station 5040+00 thru 5400+00 are upside down both in the respected drawing and the alignment itself. I have checked and double checked all the settings and they all seem to be correct. This has really got me dumb founded.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have two viewports, one that is not rotated at 1:50 scale, the other rotated at 1:20 scale, and using associative dimensioning, therefore viewing the same model object with two associative scales. The rotated viewport is showing the dimenions upsidedown since it is rotated more than 180deg. If I modify the dimension properties to Left to Right instead of Right to Left, it rotates my other unmodified viewport. The only way right now to have the dimensions showing properly, is to print the first pages with the unmodified viewports, then modify the dimension properties, and then print the rotated viewport pages.
View 0 Replies View RelatedI created a custom door tag I have been using for several years now based on the standard size description (3068). I have always had the constraint set to object so it will be read at 0 or 90 degrees. I am now using ACA2014 and now it puts the tag in at 0, 90, 180 and 270 degrees. how to correct it back so the text is not upside down? I could always set it to zero but I don't like the look.
View 2 Replies View Relatedi was asked to assist with plotting some coordinated on a drawing, the catch is i need to re orientate the UCS with Y+ at the top of the screen, X+ to the right, Y- to the bottom and X- to the left..
I managed to get this part right, that was the easy part.....
However when i went to put any Dimension or even Text on the drawing it was Backwards and Upside Down.
I have added a small screenshot for reference ....
I'm having an issue with draping a google earth image onto a surface that was imported at the same time. The image flips over and shrinks down into one corner. Not sure shat I'm doing wrong, if it's just a setup problem or an actual bug or something. I have the image attached.
View 3 Replies View RelatedLikely a simple question; I have completed a part and because I am new, drew it a certain way to make my life easier. Now that the part is complete I would like to rotate the entire part (but not create a new solid) by 45 deg.

I have an assembly wherein one part is mated to another grounded part, with a face-to-face coincident mate. The click + drag type of movement appears to move the part, while continually solving this constraint.
However, it seems like there is no way to do a rotation in the same manner, where the constraint is continually updated. There appears to only be the "Free Rotate" command, which ignores the constraints.
Is there really no way to do this in Inventor? The application is that I am laying out a mold for many, many small parts, and I am trying to move and rotate them into position to get good packing efficiency and density. Each part will be attached to a mold base with one of the aforementioned face-to-face constraints, then slid & rotated around manually.
This seems like a really important piece of functionality. Solidworks can certainly do this, do a part rotation in an assembly, while solving for existing constraints.
This is my i Feature inserted. When I try to insert it and rotate it, the slot and nubs do not rotate. Also, if I try to mirror it over the plane, the slot and nubs do not mirror. It always stays the same direction. I am on Inventor 2011. Also, If I try to rotate it 90 deg, Inventor crashes.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have to print PDF file of model And this PDF file should have access to rotate model as we do in inventor. I came across such file few days ago. I tried in inventor it I could not do.
(# Ref attachment of PDF file having access to rotate model)
I made PDF file but that doesn't,t have access to rotate as first one has. ( # ref 2 ND attachment.)
In 2013, just placed a view in an idw. Now I need it rotated 90°. In pre2012, there was a rotate Horizontal and Rotate vertical command where we could pick the edge and it would align to it.
Has that been taken out of 2013 or am I just overlooking it? Restarted Inventor and that didnt work. I did not restore the marking menu because I have some customizations that I dont want to lose.
For what its worth, Wiki help shows the "Rotate View" command in the video..... maybe I don't have the full version...IDK. Looks like I am missing several commands here, like Apply Design View.
So I have set up a new style for rotate balloon text in Inventor 2011. But I am running into a problem when I pull the balloon away from the view to have a leader it does not stay rotated.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have an assembly of 3 parts. I want to align holes from 2 of the parts and then fix them all in that position (as they will be welded together). I can't figure out how to do that (lock-in position). I restrained on axis and surface-to-surface but I don't know how to prevent 50168P and 50181B from rotating around.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI would like to reuse the existing sketch on the other part. Usually I did it without problems. But now after I have pasted the existing sketch I cannot move or rotate it. While moving or rotating Inventor usually prompts for braking some constraints for this action. But nevertheless it does not allow me to move or rotate. It says something about "constraint settings for sketch edit tools" -- cannot get any hint of that in a whole phrase nor in part [URL] what else Inventor wants so I can reuse my sketches??
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am trying to rotate a body in a part document using a .net add-in through the API. I saw this mod the machine post [URL] which appears to be exactly what I am looking for. As I try to incorporate this into my add-in it doesn't recognize the MoveDefinition or PartDefinition.Features.MoveFeatures, as if these were not included in the SDK. The VBA code that is listed will run, but I cannot convert it to C#.net code. Is there something I am missing, perhaps an extra reference? I am using Inventor 2013 with the updated 2013 SDK downloaded from here [URL]
View 5 Replies View Related@The moment i am trying to get the saveAs settings that were used when the user hits the save/saveAs button in autocad.
My addin needs to store the current document with these settings. i dont want to use some pop-up dialog.
The .currentVersion property saves the document with the applicationversions standard saveprofile.
I need some kind of property that reflects the users saveAs settings.
Is there any way getting those information via the .net api without doing the interop stuff?
I have noticed that when I place a group of bolts in to a group of existing holes the pattern of bolts seem to be free to rotate about the hole selected when creating the bolt pattern.

I've been researching this all day and I can't find anything that works for me. Is there a way to change the middle mouse button from "Pan" to "Rotate" my model? Currently, I hold "Shift" while holding down the middle mouse button and that rotates my model. Can I incorporate that into my middle mouse button somehow without having to buy a 3D Connexion mouse?
