Im using the bolted connection tool and when i chose all of circluar reference and pick out my bolt and nut the tool will only draw one bolt and ignore all the other circular references. It previews all the bolts just fine ut will only place a bolt in one of the circular references.

I've run into a problem with my "Jet.oledb.4" connection string not working for x64 machines. I've done some research and found out a few things, but am still confounded.
The code was written on a x86 XP machine with vb.net 2010 express. AutoCAD will load the dll just fine on x64 machines. Everything will work except the connection to the database. I tried installing the Microsoft Access Database Engine 2010 Redistributable for x64, but couldn't because the MS Office installed is x86!! Instead I installed the x86 version, but got the same unhandled exception at runtime.
Do I need to have the current x86 MS Office uninstalled and then install the x64 version of MS Office on those machines? Is it that the code is compiled as x86? If so, how can I compile to x64? I didn't see any options in settings, and haven't been able to find any examples.
The thing I really don't understand is that the same connection string ( "Jet.oledb.4") works in an old VBA routine on all machines!!

Here is the Scenario, Win 7, 64 bit, Office 2010, and yes I have installed 64 bit drivers, with Map 2012.
I have an Access Database with Water and Sewer information. I connect thru FDO and every thing is great. I make a change or add something to the Access Data Base and I don't see the change until I disconnect and then re-connect? I was under the assumption that this was a live connection? Is there a way to refresh the connection without having to dis-connect and then re connect?

I don't use the area calculation tool that much. I was just working out a large area for concrete. I use TOOLS - INQUIRY - AREA. Thats all fine and it gives me the area, for instance, to keep it simple 4900 x 9000 = 44.10m² AutoCad displays it as 44100000. I know it's not a major problem, but is there anyway I can get it to display as 44.10 or at least lose all the zeros.

I've assembled a bolt and a slide block that is constrained to a base plate and am able to put everything in motion. I have the slide block constrained to slide the distance of the base plate and when I reach the end the bolt continues to rotate when, if this was a real part, should stop. How can I get this bolt to stop once the slide block reaches its ending constraint?

I'm working on a project in wikiHelp under Inventor tutorials, Content Center, Create iMates. When I pull the object up in an assembly I can create an iMate and it will show that I made one. But when i go to the next page (Place Content Manually Using iMates), I can't get the bolt to snap to the iMate inside the object, the bolt just stays in one position the whole time.

In the attached report, safety factor is se to calculate from ultimate tensile stress (485 MPa), and it indicates 1.33 with stresses:
Von-Mises: 323 MPa..............SF = 1.5
1st principal: 303 MPa.............SF = 1.6
2nd principal: -181.2 MPa....... SF =2.67
So, how is inventor getting 1.33 ?
EDIT: if I set it to calculate from yield ( 260 MPa) it accurately reports SF = 260/323=0.8
EDIT: added part file

When a bolted connection is used, the bolt changes in length as the stackup of hardware increases and decreases. I have noticed that if I do not grab the red arrow to adjust the length, the amount the bolt extends past the nut
seems to be only about 2 threads. What is the formula Inventor uses to determine this extended length?

I'm trying to constrain a length of ACME threaded rod to a nut so that when the rod is spun or threaded it shows it traveling into the nut as it will be grounded. I would like it to work as a driven assembly or if I was to turn or spin the rod by the mouse. I've reseached this for the last 2 days and can not spend any more time on it so time to ask the experts.

I've been working with Inventor 2011 - Pro and have not had any success with utilizing a bolted connection (blind hole) in an FEA stress analysis. I have reviewed and one suggestion involved a using a bolt placed "as custom" instead of "as standard". It appears however that there is a default setting that I currently have which doesn't allow this as a selection.

My company recently installed Inventor 2013. In previous versions we used a part with negative density similar to seawater to calculate submerged weight and CoG.
In IV 2013, it seems that the ability to calculate negative mass is not longer available.
This is how it worked in pre 2013 IV, when I could specify a negative density.
What I have is a spool made of steel. This spool is modelled as an iAssembly with four configurations:
-In air, empty
-In air, filled with glycol
-Submerged, empty
-Submerged, filled with Glycol
For this example, I now need three parts:
-Steel Pipe
-Glycol derived from the inside volume the pipe
-Seawater buoyancy derived from the outside volume of the pipe.
Each part has its own density, and the assembly weight and CoG correspond to the assembly configuration (with or without glycol) and environment (in air or submerged).
The seawater buoyancy represents the water displaced by the total spool assembly, regardless of the contents. To achieve correct weight in the submerged state, the buoyancy material has to have a negative density.
I do not want to make any of the mass parameters static, and I also fear that the CoG might not be updated correctly when using that method.
As I no longer can define a negative density, any optional method to achieve this without overriding the mass value.

Questions below pertain to using Autodesk Inventor 2013:
What factor of safety value the Shaft Generator program uses when you run the calculations?
Does the factor of safety value change when you are not using the inventor user material option?
Lastly, when exactly do you know when to use the density option in the calculation properties or not?

I am trying to calculate the area of our parts. I was trying to do the math my self but I kept getting a lower area than IV. I haver attached a picture of what I get from IV. I have listed my calculations of the angle iron below:
I am using IV Pro 2011 Educational SP1
i7 2600
8GB ram
1Gb GTX 560
Cart 72 lbs 4006 sq in
All calculatoins are in ^2
(4) 2x2x1/8x48=92.928, 371.712
(4)2x2x1/8x33=63.888, 255.552
(4)2x2x1/8x29=56.144, 224.576
(2)2x2x1/8x32.669=31.623592, 252.988736
(4)2x1/8x2=32.912
Total = 277.495592, 1137.740736

I would like to know what calculation on the length of a folding feature is performed by Inventor when one folds it. Read my example to better understand my question.
I am trying to fold a part of my sheet 90 degrees, I am going to call the folding part sheet B and the rest of the sheet, sheet A. Now, understand that when I fold sheet B 90 degrees, its face will no longer be parallel to sheet A, but the face of its thickness will. Consider this, now: when I fold the sheet B, there will be an inner part of the folding (which will have the faces of both sheet sections 90 degrees from each other) and the outer part (which will have an angle of 270 degrees between them).
I want the distance between the thickness face and the outer face of sheet A to be X in length. Which is the intial length of sheet B for this to happen? Consider using the BendRadius, Thickness, and other Inventor Sheet Metal parameters that will participate in the equation.
The question surged because I wanted such distance to be 5 in a part with a Thickness setting of 0.5 (as well as BendRadius), but because of this folding length calculation, I had to make sheet B 5.631 in length.
