A couple of days ago when I went to shut down my computer ran windows updates automatically and the next morning these updates failed and the previous setting were re-configured. Windows updates ran again the next night and updated sucessfully.
Since then I have been having problems importing autocad into a sketch. In the Layers and Objects Import Options dialog box, the layers are not shown and the autocad objects can not be individually selected.
I was wondering if this is the solution to the problem or if there is a hotfix to solve it without having to un/reinstall programs.
My iLogic ability is quite limited outside of what I use regularly?
I am trying to change the font style in every text definition in all my sketch symbols in one go. Actually I have started it based on only a selection set but I would be happy with just all symbols too. Below is where I got to, I am stuck on the For Each line to cover each text box in the symbol. Some of the other syntax may not be right either but I can't test it all the way through. Â Dim oDoc As DrawingDocument: oDoc = ThisApplication.ActiveDocumentDim oSheet As Sheet: oSheet = oDoc.ActiveSheetDim i As LongDim oSymDef As SketchedSymbolDefinition: oSymDef = oDoc.SketchedSymbolDefinitions.Item(i)Dim oText As TextBoxesFor i = 1 To oDoc.SelectSet.CountFor Each oText In ............oSymDef.TextBoxes.Item(i).FormattedText ="<StyleOverride Font='ARIAL'>...< /StyleOverride>"NextNextInventorVb.DocumentUpdate() Â Also the XML style override is not complete if this is the only way to achieve this result.

I had trouble installing the program on Windows 7 after aborting on the first try when an error message about a font issue appeared and I wanted to find out more info. It took four retries, rebooting and adjusting my security settings I have it installed as a trial version (I think), but when I try to launch the program it goes through the initiallization process each time and then shuts down just as it is launching. Do I uninstall and start again from scratch? I have experience in installing 2000LT and 2004LT on various computers over the years with out ever having an installation issue.Â
I just installed the adobe cs6 creative suite yesterday or the day before, but today was the first time I tried to launch PS. Each successive time that I've tried, I have gotten these two messages immediately after the program finishes loading:
I can't go to the preferences panel to attempt to fix the problem addressed in the first dialogue because PS will not stay open long enough to allow me to do so. I also googled the issue and the majority of people seemed to say that holding down ctrl+alt+shift as the program loaded would present me with a dialogue that would fix the problem, but when I tried it nothing happened.
A month ago I successfully installed 3 ICC profiles from a paper manufacturer and got them recognised by PSP X5. I now have 4 more profiles and have installed them but they are not recognised completely by PSP. If I open the Color Management box and click Basic Color Management, with Rending Intent 'Pictures', the printer profiles list in the dropdown shows only the three original profiles (plus a lot supplied by Canon for the MG650 printer concerned). If I select Proofing, the Emulated device profile dropdown list shows all 7 profiles (plus the Canon ones), so PSP is clearly to some extent aware of the new profiles.
I cannot remember exactly how I achieved the inclusion of my original three in the list, but I do have the printer concerned as the default primary printer, so cannot see that this is a problem. The profiles are recognised in the other software that I use, so they are definitely correctly installed.
I've installed some new fonts into my windows vista. The fonts were successfully installed and a check in Office reflected the new fonts. when i opened CS4, these fonts were not found in the list of characters.
I click on a picture in My Pictures, I go to File, I click on Open WIth and if I am trying to open a NEF file, even though Photoshop Elements 11 comes as an option...picture will not open. And, same if I try a jpg or a tiff file..only there, PSE 11 does not even come up a s an option to open with. In all cases error reads...NOT VALID WIN32 application.
I'm using a new install of Photoshop CS6 (via creative cloud) on a new iMac and getting superb performance aside from constant issues with the polygonal lasso tool.
All the other variants of the tool work fine without fault, but when using the polygonal selection , either the first 'point' won't register or subsequent 2nd or 3rd points won't register, causing photoshop to hang for a second then fill the marquee incorrectly.
I'm using a magic mouse and also tested it with a USB Logitech but still getting the same issue. Â 3.4ghz Intel Core i7 Quad core iMac 16GB Ram OS & Photoshop on a SSD Scratch Disk 1TB internal HD
Is it possible to convert Text to a sketch in which I can edit individual letters. I want to use the text as a profile path for a plasma cutter. I tried Emboss, but Letters with islands in them, completely cut the letter out. I want to be able to add a bridge for one of a better word, by editing a sketch.
I have an idw where I am trying to pattern elements with a sketch. One of the items being text. I can pattern all of the geometry but the text will not pattern.
I've got a sketch in a part that I want to derive into its own part and place in an assembly. I can do that no problem, but the text on the sketch is just empty boxes. Is there any way to bring the text through to the derived part?
The text is orientation information that I want in both the part and the assembly, not for permanent display but just to hover and display or switch on when needed. Maybe there's a better way of doing it if what I'm asking for is impossible.
I have several name plates which are embossed, and only the description changes from job to job, but find it a nuisance having to go into the part, edit sketch then edit text! each time I want to change the description .
I was initially going to get round this by creating a form and linking it to the text parameter! Â But for some reason it won't take in the text parameter I created and will only find and take in numerical parameters?
Is there any way around this? I know it is possible in inventor 2013. I am currently working with Inventor professional 2012.
I installed some True Type fonts on my machine the other day and I noticed that Photoshop does not include them in its list of fonts. Other True Type fonts that I installed in the past are recognized and included.
Is there some way I can get Photoshop to "see" fonts when it does not do so on its own?
I sure would like to be able to use the fonts with Photoshop. I know that some of the ones I installed worked on previous versions of PS.
Most of the designs require some unique font to get the desired effect. Most likely, we'd search the web for one, download it, use it and discard it. We don't wanna keep all these single-use fonts installed. It would be great if we can load a font in to PDN by just browsing for it using a file dialog. I think Photoshop lets you drag and drop a font to its main window and till let you use it for that session. When you exit the application, the font is unloaded.
Can this be supported? Of course, there is a workaround: Use a font manager app. But, I think it's a pretty good feature to have in a image editor never the less
I am having trouble changing the dimension text size of any 2d or 3d sketch..
the default has changed for some reason (i might have accidentally changed it while looking for something the other day) but i need to know how to change it back.. I can't do anything without a dimension getting in the way!
When I add a text to a sketch, I can constrain the rectangle to set its size, orientation and position. And I can set the text width to fit into the rectangle. But I wasn't able to set the text height to fit into the rectangle.
Am I missing something or is the fit text option doing only half the job?
after installing new fonts I downloaded, I cannot get a sample, or even the name listed, of the font in the character panel of any of the new fonts. All the previously installed fonts show up fine. The new fonts have samples in Photoshop, Microsoft Word, etc, just not in Illustrator. Is there some way I can change this in Illustrator?
I have Installed the Creative Suite 6 with InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator under Windows 7 Professional 32bit. A customer specific font has been installed in Windows and shows up in Notepad, Microsoft Office 2010 and other programs including Photoshop CS6. For InDesign I had to copy it to the "Programdirectory"Fonts folder and this worked fine. Only Illustrator CS6 doesn't show this Font (a TrueType font "cust.ttf") as available when I want to format a text with it. I've searched Google and Adobe but no luck so far. Based on other articles I also renamed the "IllustratorFonts.lst file - but also to no avail...
I have Arial Narrow Bold etc. installed in the Windows fonts folder but it still doesn't show in Photoshop CS6. Arial Narrow shows but not the bold version. It shows up in InDesign, however.
When I click on the Font Navigator icon, the window opens, but there are no fonts anywhere.......it's empty !! When I click on View All Fonts, nothing happens .  How do I get my installed fonts to show up in my Font Navigator?
I’m trying to get the embossed text on a nameplate (done in sketch on a part) to change with updating a custom property in iProperties. Right now I’m using iLogic so I can change the text in User Parameters and that updates the embossed text. So where I’m having an issue is the Export Parameters tab is grayed out so I can’t get it work with my custom properties.
