View 8 RepliesI am using Inventor 2010 and would like each view of a drawing to show a different machining step. I.e.. A rough cut dimension and then the finish cut dimension. Is it possible to create the part as it would be machined and then use the EOP marker to set each view. Would like to model one part and get all views.
View 9 Replies View RelatedWhen I grab the EOP and want to drag up past the features higher up than the current scroll position, I don't have a good control. The EOP is already reached the beginning of the part.

I've got a relatively simple assembly (attached) containing 3 iparts. I change the center component the assembly and I lose all the constraints. Only the length changes, I'm sure I did this before but yet it turns out to be an epic disaster.

I have a huge list of drawings I need to apply this update to. Updating Styles isn't really an option as we haven't enough consistency in the styles we have used.

When I am trying to make any shapes on my computer...even just a closed triangle with the LINE TOOL...when I come back tot he starting point to close the triangle, the dot neer turns green. Not even if I am directly on top of it. Is there some setting that got changed accidentally, that is causing this?
It works on my computer at work, just not my laptop. Others I know have the same laptop and recieved the same install...and it works for them.
In the ANSI-large, the default title block in the ANSI drawing template, when i edit the title block i see green lines which might use for aligning text. they disappear when i finish editing.
They are on a layer that's: By Standard (title ANSI). The rest of the lines are black and are on the title ANSI layer. What's this By Standard prefix? What are they and how to make them?

In my Inventor .idw browser my parts have a green arrow next to them but I can't seem do anything with them, I think they might be a refresh icon .
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've attached a leaf image. We'd like to "Autumnize" the leaf even more and remove the green from the leaf. I've tried playing with the various options in the Color drop down (Color Balance, Hue Saturation, Colorize, Brightness-Contrast, Threshold, Levels, Curves), but I can't seem to do it.

View 1 Replies View RelatedAll of a sudden when i create a circle on the origin it is not turning green and constraining the circle to it. Also when i am creating a line from the midpoint of another line the midpoint is not turning green and the line is not constrained to that point. I have checked the autoproject origin box in the appl settings and it is active.

What does it represent? if it comes because of design error then where to look for the mistake.
Have installed inventor 2014 as part of the Product Design Suite Premium 2014 & have a few issues.
1). In sketch mode when drawing a line/circle etc there is usually a green dot in the centre of the crosshair, this is not vissible at all making it difficult (if not impossible) to see where the cursor is snapping to. The same happens in the drawing mode when dimensioning. I've checked the options but can't see anything obvious.
2). The icons in the 'Navigation Bar' are invisible, I've checked the opacity levels & irrespective of the setting they are still invisible. You can hover the mouse pointer over where they should be & they work, they're just not visible.
Also, the close, minimise & restore down icons in the top right corner are also invisible. Similar to the navigation bar issue, they work, they're just invisible.
Have tried uninstall & reinstall, & have downloaded & installed the update, but this doesn't solve these issues.

I tried the Pathfinder UNITE command and the Live Paint MERGE command.
I'm using Civil 3D 2012 and I'm having a hard time to turn off a maker that I didn't recognize in 2011. While having all my Osnap tools turned off, I will make a Fillet between 2 polylines, but an automatic yellow marker keeps poping up on the screen (See PDF attachement).
Is there anyway to turn the yellow marker off?
I believe I've found a bug with marker styles. I found this while editing a profile style. Under my profile style I have the Point of Vertical Intersection set to PI Point for the marker style.
Here is the screenshot of the marker style for the plan view.
Here is the screenshot of the marker style for the profile view with part of my profile shown next to it. Notice how the marker color is different in the profile than what it's set to. It's also not changing layers. It seems that the profile setting for the marker style display doesn't actually work. It takes the settings for the plan view and ignores the profile display style.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI read all of the posts I could on point gaps and know how to make the leader reach for the center of the point. What I want is for the leader to actually attach to the block of the style I have created. Is this possible, or do I need to find a new way to label of these points so that the leader touches the block. Also I noticed the gap is not consistent from point to point.

I am working on a lab with cabinets. I changed the door to a single window (left/top image) from a solid door (right/bottom image) and now my renderings (left/top image) look like crap. Have I just pushed my card too far..

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am trying to change the sizes of markers individually. When I change the marker of one, it changes for all of them. I think this has to do with the point groups. I am able to add all points to a new group but I cant specify which markers i want in that group.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI created 3 marker styles to be used be applied as markers within 3 figure styles, but using the same block for all 3 marker styles. The size of the marker styles is set to "Use fixed scale" and all have a Y and Z scale of 1 but different X values. Unfortunately it seems that if the X and Y values are different the marker will not show up on the figure.

Tried the new geolocation today, and found the position markers to be quite useful.
However... Using WGS 84, they only show the latitude/longtitude with 4 decimals. And 0.0001 degree is about 11 meters in real life, so... I was hoping there was a setting to give me at least 5 decimals here.
I have my layer set up as dashed linetype for lines. My point style marker is set up as continuous linetype. When I import the survey file it automatically draws the lines correctly, inserts the correct marker, and places them on the correct layer. But the marker is dashed as well and not continuous. Is something overriding this setting?
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I try to use the move tool and hover over an object, the marker tool bounces around and has trouble finding the selection point. When I zoom in close to get the exact point on a line - it doesn't select anything, so I can't actually move an object.

I've been able to successfully place R/W markers in my cross sections (as well as FO, TEL, GAS, Beam Guard). Where to find an Existing R/W marker ' EX R/W'?
View 6 Replies View RelatedHow do you get a point marker that uses a block with attributes to show the attributed text?
We are using tree symbols that have the size of the tree as an attribute, but when the points that use that block come in...the block shows up w/out any attributed text. Tried to edit the "block" or point marker with attedit command, but C3D tells me it is not a block. Understand that it is a "marker" for the point. But, what is stopping the text size of tree from showing up?
Is there a way to change the marker size when selecting objects for move, rotate, trim, chamfer..etc commands?
I have tried Autosnap Marker Size, aperture size and cross hair size from the options menu with no luck.
