AutoCAD Inventor :: BOM Not Do The Math (multiply Qty X Weight (mass)) In Weight Column
Feb 8, 2012The weight of the parts is correct but if the quantity is greater than 1 in a weldment the BOM collumm does not do the math and multiply the quantity X the weight. If it is a formula what is the syntax?

Jul 12, 2012We created a wellhead stand (top and bottom plates has od of 18" and the body has od of 16.75" thk of 0.5") and ran the stress analysis.
Because we have a cylinder attach vertically to the wellhead stand, so we added the gravity and force (40,000 lb) on the top plate.
Our question is about the wind load. We know there has a software call robot structural analysis but that is not an option yet. And we looked up other pages and knew that we can convert the wind load to pressure. Basically the wind load is on the one side of the hydraulic cylinder (around 13feet tall and od of 6") and rod (around 12 feet tall and od of 4"). But where do we add it to the wellhead stand? on the top plate (flat face) ? or the body (cylinder)?
We attached a sample part. the orange parts = hydraulic cylinder. the green part = top plate. the magenta part = body.

Dec 7, 2011I've had a simple lisp I've been using for years that suddenly disappeared. It required that you identify a block name, tag name, and the value that you want the tag to be. All of this is performed via command line, so it is scriptable. Since I lost it, I've been experimenting with -attedit. This command comes frustratingly close to what I'm looking for, except it only appends an existing tag, or replaces a specific string within the tag; I can't get it to replace the entire tag, regardless of its value.

CorelDRAW X3 :: Easy / Auto Fill A Specific Area
Oct 5, 2012I use Coreldraw x3 for cutting vinyl to put on shirts and windows ect. I cut on 14" and 24" rolls of vinyl. To save vinyl I make a rectangle in corel at 14x25" or 24x25" and then I put the graphics in that rectangle as snug as I can to make sure I conserve as much vinyl as possible.
I am wondering if there is a way to select my rectangle and the art that I want to piece into it and have the program automatically fill up the space as sparingly as possible. This would save me a lot of time and it would probably be more efficient for saving vinyl because corel would know the optimal way to piece the art in.

Feb 14, 2012When dimensioning views on idw my line weights disappear on the view I am dimensioning. The Display Line Weights check box stays checked during this.
The only way to get them to display correctly is to select a line in the view and right click select properties and hit OK.

Now we are using Inventor and I see that the weight shown on a parts list is the weight of an individual part - although the quantity could be 2 , 3 (more than one). Is there a way to have the total weight shown equal to MASS times ITEM QTY?
