Is there a way that the Info Center is not available ? Registry ? XML confoguration ?
It is possible to disable the communication center, but the for whole Info center I can find no way ?
We have installed Inventor on 1000 client WS and the INfo center is not needed ?
We are launching Autocad 2014 in a multiuser environment and trying to determine how to stop the WELCOME screen from appearing.
The /nologo switch is for a different screen. Need per user or prefer per computer registry setting to turn off the Welcome Screen.
Thought it was InfoCenteron key,set to 0, but that was not it.
Thought it might be MC3 key, but not there either.
how to disable xyz-indicator on the center plane.It may be basic knowledge, but I have given up on finding out my self.
View 3 Replies View RelatedThe content center is completely empty on 3 different seats of Autodesk Inventor 2014. They all had the content center and it was working perfectly until a random moment and they all went empty at different times. Two of these seats were upgraded from 2013 while the other was a fresh installation. We do not use the vault and on my main computer, the items I marked as favorites are still able to be seen, but only available as custom parts each time.
There are 4 other seats here with Inventor installed and the content center is working, should I expect them all to vanish as well? How can I get it back?
I installed Inventor 2014 some months ago and have been working with the content center on a regular basis. I recently went on a business trip and when I got back my content center library dialog is completely blank.
I can not figure out what could possibly have happens to the installation settings to cause this.
I am trying to apply a load lengthwise on a 2 x 2 x 3/16 angle at the center of gravity using "stress analysis" in inventor pro 2014, but it won't let me apply the load at this point. I know that the load would be floating in the air at the center of gravity, could this be the issue?

Then suddenly I crash to desktop at least 90 percent of the time when I select "place from content center" it starts to load then, desktop.

I'm using Inventor 2014 with Service Pack 1 with Desktop Content Center enabled on a single machine. I've also installed Vault Basic 2014 on the same machine. Operating System is Windows 7 Professional.
I've edited my non-vaulted and vaulted project files to create a Custom Content Center Library called Zzyzx. I've started a new Assembly and entered the Content Center Editor to add files to the Zzyzx library. I've copied the Inventor ANSI fasteners section into the Zzyzx library, using the Copy To method with links enabled. So far, so good.
After copying the entire Inventor ANSI fasteners to the Zzyzx library, I created a new column called DESCRIPTION within the Heavy Hex Head Bolt - Inch series folder. Using and expression, I've modified the string values of the just created DESCRIPTION column. I've elected to map DESCRIPTION to the Project.Description iProperty. I use the OK button and each row in the new column gets populated. Update Lightning Bolts are displayed at the far left of the dialog box.
I then use either the Apply or OK button and then Inventor displays a Publish Error message box that states: Non-unique filename(s) found in members. I've checked the file names and I see nothing that's repeating. I've tried using a new file name, but that doesn't solve the issue.What steps must I take in order to successfully edit my Custom Content Library called Zzyzx?

Publishing parts to C Center or Editing tables in C Center Crashes Inventor Prof 2014
Before i say anything let me say that this problem occured last night.Was always there as i had not used the feature before in 2014. I uninstalled ONLY Inventor from the suite and re installed. It worked !!
Tonight i was publishing new parts and then Inventor crashed. Since its crashed again i cant publish or edit part family tables to make additions etc with Inventor crashing.
I believe something has corrupted again within the Inventor 2014 install and i dont know what.
Im looking for some pointers as i dont really feel like uninstalling and reinstalling Inventor to fix it.
I have cleared the cache from users folders etc. Im guessing i need to clear some thing else as well. This crashes in both Vault and local CC files.
Can I disable ribbon in 2013?

When I navigate to the 2013 Design Data as indicated by the Material Style Migration dialog, the upper section is greyed out as shown. No Colors.xml or Materials.xml files exist. This displays whether I choose to create a new library or select an existing one (I get the feeling that this tool applies only to pre-2013 migration).
I am unable to proceed to the next step of migrating custom content center libraries, since many of the content items depend upon the custom materials/appearances definitions.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI had Inventor 2013 and it worked well for a long time, I didn't use it for a while, then yesterday I tried to use it again and it wouldn't work. It starts up fine, and gets to the menu where you can choose from recent files, new files, tutorials, etc. After I select anything to open, whether its a new or old file, the program will load open the file then immediately stop working. No error message is displayed besides Windows telling me "this program has stopped working". I updated to 2014 yesterday, and the exact same problem persists.

It would appear that (almost) without exception, the failed files are all Content Center parts that were inserted as custom parts. Do I need to run a migration on the Content Center parts (Inventor/ContentCenter Files/R2013/en-US) in order for the custom parts to migrate properly?

My understanding was that I copy the .idcl and .idz files from the old folder to the 2014 folder, open the projects dialog box, configure content center libraries button, and use the update tool button.
However, in the configure libraries dialog box my custom library doesn't even show up in the list along with my ANSI, ISO, "My Library", etc. Restarting Inventor didn't work.
I have re-installed the content center. we do not use the vault even though i had to install the basic to install the content center see attached for my file settings for the content center.

It does work on Inventor 2012.
In 3dsMax 2014 I have noticed that when you select an object it will display it's wireframe. You use to be able to cycle through the F3 and F4 combinations to show/hide this wireframe however it does not appear to work in 3dsMax 2014.
Is there another way (besides the F3 + F4 hotkeys) to disable this wireframe on the selected object?

we have Inventor prof 2012 lisc copy ,now we recd 2013 upgrade copy , as per discusswith local service provider of Autodesk need to uninstall whole 2012 and reload fresh 2013. i copied contenet center folder on other location and reload fresh Inventor 2013.when i installed it it is obserbed that content center libraries don't have standards which contents in Inventor 2012. To open our old projects we need this standards, the procedure to import this content center libraries from 2012 to 2013.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWe have Inventor 2013 installed in our Cad Lab in our High School... when logged in as the administrative account that the program was installed under, content center opens and works fine, however when logged in as a student (any student, they have individual network accounts), when you click to access content center to insert something, nothing happens, no error messages, nothing. I have tried re-installing content center under a student account, giving the student account admin rites, changing paths to content center, giving the student full access to the entire C drive, nothing seems to work...
