I've installed Product Design Suite Ultimate 2013, however I put the wrong product key in on the install, so my serial number is invalid. is there anyway of changing the product key (registry?) after isntall without having to reinstall

Situation: Autodesk Revit MEP Suite 2013 to Autocad MEP 2013.
I need to change the layer that my "Produced by an Autodesk Educational Product" border is being put to. I've never had to assign it to my text layer in the past; it has always just gone there. Now it is showing up on my furniture layer and I don't know where that setting is to move it.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have installed Design suite prem. 2014 previously. Kept 2013 to reference until not needed. Stupid files kept defaulting to 2013 so i removed it. Lost all file associations to all autodesk products still installed (dsp 2014 ). Decided to repair. Decided to remove it. Used the autodesk uninstall tool.
Now i get the titled error upon install. It only installs about 1/4 of the software i select and none of the shared files.
What I'm trying to accomplish is a way to create a kit (assembly of loose parts) that will be used in more than one product model. Each top level assembly (product model) will require the parts to be constrained in different locations but all of the components in the kit will remain the same.
Is the iAssembly tool the right tool to use for this?
Thought I might upgrade my PS to CC under the discount for existing owners scheme However, it won't accept that I have a suitible product despite having CS5 on my system. It is not on my products list. Six others are just not my PS products.
Put in serial number - says it is already registered - I know that - just not associated with me I guess. Deactived PS and tried again - same.
For some reason I cannot unfold sheet metal product on attached file. Where have I made a mistake? I used extruding, also sheet metal thickness from rule has been set to 2mm. Rest are default values.

I bought the download version and later burned a CD for installation and moved the download version to a backup HDD.
But after that, whenever I tried to re-install (deactivate or not), I couldn't use the CD and had to move all files to the initial location (with all same structures) before I could do anything.
This is extremely annoying since I wish to delete the initial folders for which I used for the initial install (i.e. I created a few folders named "working areaAdobePhotoShopCS3").
I had to create (and remember) all those folders for re-install. Anyone knows any solution for changing this so I can change it to using the CD I burned next time?
I just purchased Corel PaintShop Pro x4 today.At the beginning of installation, a box pops up and says: "The feature you are trying to use is on a netwok resource that is unavailable.
Click OK to try again, or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package "vcredist.msi" in the box below."
Nothing works when I change the destination folder, and when I finally click "cancel" another box pops up saying: "Error 1714. The older version of Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Reditributable cannot be removed. Contact your technical support group."
I downloaded inventor 2012 64bit onto my computer running windows vista. Before I could install it I'd that I needed the windows vista service pack 2. After downloading and installing that it also said that I need the 971138. I also downloaded and installed that. My problem is when I install inventor 2012. It comes up with the following error: Error 1308. Source file not found. C:AutodeskAutodesk_Inventor_2012_English_Win_64bitx64InventorProgram FilesAutodeskInventor 2012Bingranite60md.dll. Verify that the file exists and that you can access it. It gives me the option of either retry or cancel, therefore I cannot complete the installation.

I have a fully functional version of 2010 Excel installed which has been used so it should be recognized in the windows registry. I am running Windows 8 and Autodesk Inventor 2014.
View 6 Replies View RelatedJust last week I was working just fine. When trying to access the product today, as usual the A5 sized "Loading" starts but when the product is to appear it just shuts off. It is not indicating what the error is through a dialog box, hence, I am not sure what the problem may be.
I have check various discussion groups which say it may arise from FLEX related files or CascadeInfo.cas but nothing changed. I have also done an entire un installation of the product and Installed it from scratch. The problem persists.
PC Specs:

When I try to open or create drawings in autocad (which i downloaded recently from the edu community) it gives me a warning which says "the drawing file being opened was not created by a product from an autodesk education suite. if you save this drawing it will always be plotted with the follow plot stamp: produced by an autodesk education program.it is recommended that you save this drawing with a different file name." but I have saved and resaved drawings, tried different extensions and still it won't plot or print without this plot stamp. What is most likely causing it and what can I do to remove it.

Can I install each license file into a seperate port on same server to allow each group to use their own pool, essentially to not allow the other groups to have easy access? (We customize the install for each group to a particular lic server/port)

I would like to change the scale of a base view on a drawing based on a parameter in my assembly. The idea is to get iLogic to change the view using a simple If / Else statement.
This is what I tried:

So basically the value of "BP" parameter (excel parameter in my assy) would drive the scale of the views. But its not working. Is it actually a sensible method? Can I use in the drawing environment the excel parameters in my assembly?
This is the error message I get when the rule is run:
"Error in rule: View Scale, in document: 0 Generic Assembly v2.2.idw
Unspecified error (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80004005 (E_FAIL))"
Also using the same thinking I use iLogic to populate the drg number field on the drawing based on an excel parameter. The rule works but does not always updates the drawing no upon the parameter change or update/rebuild commands.
How do I create an Inventor part with a cost that will update according to the part dimensions changing. For example, we design products using aluminum extrusions and our cost is determined by foot length. How can I create the extrusion part to have a per foot cost that will dynamically update when I change the parts length for an assembly? It seems to me to be a fundamental need for many industries.
I will happily take any links to information that will explain this process. I cannot find anything online that clearly explains the process of creating parts with costs and variables.
I recently downloaded student version of architecture 2011 and works great, but how do I get rid of the message that plots with my drawings, produced by autodesk education product.

Trying to get the tolerance on a hole to be what I want. I changed the tolerance on the hole, but my idw did not change. When I went back and looked at the tolerance on the hole, it was back to the original value. No matter what I do, it will not change to what I want it to be in the part. Here is a short video.
The dimension I am changing is .9688 and it keeps jumping back to .9686 when I go back into the hole tolerance.
Tried other values too and they would not take either...

I understand that people need to be pushed to get newer products, however by not having an easy way to change a file, it really punishes those who do stay current and get each release. For many years now I find myself drafing in a current release of Civil3d to utilize the latest features that improve work flow, then having to waste a lot of time converting projects back to each clients file requirement.

So then i went and bought Photoshop CS3 ( i got it for a good price). So i installed it, it want fine after i finished, i clicked on it to fun it and it says product license has expired. so i have uninstalled it and reinstalled it a few times and nothing.
