I have Inventor Professional 2013 (student). I can't open new file, if I try to the program crashes and closes and try to send an error report. Can't install update/patch (DL20857064_32-bit.msp or inventor2013_sp1.1_x86.msp), says program not installed/or can't gain acces to the HKey. I have admin rights, I have tried re-activating, repairing, re-installing, uninstalling and reinstalling, to the point i had to request a new activation code but it's still not working.
I have attached a file with error messages and my system, which should be ok according to the system requirements.
-Inventor 2013 SP1.1 (Issue) -Inventor 2011 SP2 (No Issue)
Templates have been coverted up from 2011, keeping copies of the old templates in separate folders all under the same parent directory.Have 2013 mapped to the folder with updated templates located on a network drive. Total of 18 temolates including the standard templates.
The Issue:I start Inventor 2013 or open an .ipt/.iam ect. I now want to create a new file so I click the "New" Icon.Inventor freezes for 10-15seconds and finally shows the templates. After that if you click on any of the templates it freezes instantly. Or if you scroll the browser bar down to navigate the folder. 15-35 seconds
After selecting the correct template it freezes for about 15 seconds. For those keeping track Thats 40-65 seconds just to open a drawing...
For Inventor 2011.Click, Click, Click. Open...Takes maybe 5 seconds.
I want to know how to make my own hatch from design till puting it in (*.pat) file. for info, I know how can I download such file and upload it in AutoCAd among (CUSTOM) or (OTHER PREDEFINED) hatchs as wel, or make it by using (SUPER HATCH in express tools). But to creat PAT file that what I want to know.
I am looking for a solution to create a watermark in AutoCAD DWG file:
Support AutoCAD 2010 to 2014.The watermark should be looks as a half-transparent background for the original DWG file. The watermark will not change when the drawings in the original DWG file is zoomed in/out.The watermark does not depend on an external picture file. When opening the DWG file, the user cannot remove the background watermark.
I'm having some difficulty with a new issue that is occuring:I have a 3D model that I'm attempting to render. It has rendered recently with no issues. Now, this morning, I get the following error message:
Unable to create output file - Make sure destination directory is writable and that the disk is not full. Rendering aborted. The drive is only approx. 30% full. I've closed/reopened the file to no avail. Also, I've closed/restarted ACAD.It always seems that AutoCAD acts goofy whenever I have a deadline.
I have no background with AutoCAD 2013, but my boss has given me the software and tasked me with taking entire floor plans of an individual floor .dwg and create smaller areas of each floor into separate, new .dwg's (like several rooms together) that then could be converted into .pdf's for sharing and/or printing. I have tried to find a simple tutorial or explaination of how to do this, but AutoCAD is such an amazing and complex tool that I'm having trouble with the terminology even.
I was right-clicking on the 'Model' tab to create a 'New Layout', right-clicking that to get to 'Page Set-Up Manager' and 'Modifying that to select 11 x 17, Landscape, and 'Adobe PDF' in the Printer dialog box. When I worked in the new Layout window sometimes I could zoom in to a section of the floorplan and then go to 'A' button in the upper left corner and select 'Print' and sometimes the resulting .PDF file would be that smaller section, and sometimes it would still just be the whole floorplan.
I have a script that makes PDF-file with suffix revision. Now I want to expand this script so it even makes a STEP-file of the 3d-file connected to the drawing. This would make all manufacture files in one button. That should be nice..
How will i manage with this since the active document is the drawing not the part. (see code below)
Set oDoc = ThisApplication.ActiveDocument Call oDoc.SaveAs("C:UsersGoranWeDesktop est estfile.stp", True)
I am currently using Autodesk Inventor 2013 Product Design Suite. When I open a new instance of Inventor, I get the "Welcome!" window the pops up along with the blank inventor program. From here if I attempt to create a "new" file, it seems to just freeze. I cannot even get into the window that lets you pick which template you would like to use. I have tried creating from all 4 locations (Welcome!, general toolbar, Get Started, and Inventor's file equiv).
I have no problems opening files that have already been created which leads me to believe that there must be some error in bringing up that new template window. This makes converting my 3D models into 2D autoCAD files impossible.
I am creating a Carbon Fiber glider. I have drawn the entire file and assembled it in autodesk inventor. How can I take each individual part and create a mold that I can CNC out? I just need a mold CAD file and then can run it through mastercam to get the G&M Code.
I knew how to do this in inventor 2011 but now that i installed inventor 2013 I forgot. How to create a new material and save it for future use in inventor 2013?
I want to ask if in Autodesk Inventor 2013, can we create a part with a different configuration?
example:I made a cube the size of 10mm x 10mm x 10mm, after which it would be revised measures 15mm x 15mm x 15mm. The second revision to change the size of a 12mm x 12mm x 12mm. Can all the revision is done in one file?And if I want to revise again be 10mm x 10mm x 10mm, can?
Have I been that provides revision always create a new file and the file number so much that hard to figure out which revision. I am still learning Autodesk Inventor 2013.
Dim propertyName1 As String = "Mortise"Dim propertyName2 As String = "Cut Length"customPropertySet = ThisDoc.Document.PropertySets.Item("Inventor User Defined Properties")Try prop = customPropertySet.Item(propertyName1) prop = customPropertySet.Item(propertyName2)Catch ' Assume error means not found customPropertySet.Add("", propertyName1) customPropertySet.Add("", propertyName2)End Try'output the custom iproperties and update the fileRuleParametersOutput()InventorVb.DocumentUpdate()'set iProperties 'iProperties.Value("Custom", "Mortise") = ""'update fileiLogicVb.UpdateWhenDone = True
This code creates custom iProperties if the iProperty isn't found. I'd like to add another iProperty called "Resaw" with a Yes/No property type. Is there a way of doing this the way I have things started here?
We are running Inventor 2013 and I am trying to create a simple positional representation of a small assembly. For some reason, the "New" option is grayed out in the positional representation browser.
I can't remember ever having trouble creating them in past releases.....
The problem is, that if you uninstall all things autodesk, and run a registry cleaner (or delete that key by hand), and then install only inventor view 2013 and run inventor view 2013, it will *not* create that key in the registry.
This makes it impossible to run the apprentice thru the COM mechanism, even your SDK samples will not work.
(i suspect (but havent proved), the bigger problem is on a brand new machine, install and run only inventor view 2013 , you still can't use the apprentice server.)
The 'workaround' is to install and run inventor view 2012. running inventor view 2012 will create the registry key. After that, running inventor view 2013 will happily update the key's value to the appropriate place.
Starting a new Mold Design. When I try to place my part, I get an error message that says... "Errors occurred during create. Plastic part: Create Failed."
How do I determine what the problem is with my part I'm trying to bring in? This was a part that was brought in from a .step file, then saved it as a .ipt. No problems that I can see with the .ipt, but Inventor Mold does not like it for some reason.
I have a simple angle iron (3 x 2 x 1/4 w/t x 3.00 LG.) .ipt that has 8 thru holes in it file size is 962 MB the file will not open however 3 days ago the file was normal size (160-180KB) and opened fine when i attempt to open this file it eats up about 8 gig of RAM then gives me PmBRepSegment in database then aborts the open process but Task Image Inventor.exe retains the 8+ gig of memory as if a file is open, what caused this file to grow 900 times in size when nothing was done to it?
I have recently installed Inventor Professional 2012 Student Version, and I'm unable to create a new file, as the program crashes as I try to do so.
After starting Inventor, I select New than Standard.ipt. The file starts loading, the status of the loading process can be seen in the bottom left corner, than the "Open Documets in Session" counter in the bottom right corner changes from 0 to 1, as it should, I guess. And than, the program freezes. Sometimes, a message appears after several minutes that an error has occured, and that I should send an error report to Autodesk (which I did); but sometimes, no message appears at all, it simply crashes.
My computer specs are: Intel Core 2 @1,86 GHz, 2 GB RAM, NVidia GeForce 9800 GTX, 60 GB free space, Windows Vista (hotfix installed) Not a powerhouse, but I think it should be able to start a file properly I think, if I understand the system requirements correctly.
When I open a file in Inventor 2013 I get the error message "cannot open XML file" for 20 or more files.(See attachment) This has only been an issue since 2013 was installed. What do I need to do to correct this?
