View 4 RepliesMy company is switching from ctb files to stb files. With the ctb file, we make concrete hatch with two layers. A top layer with the concrete hatch pattern and a background layer with a solid hatch patern. The ctb file concrete plots the concete hatch black and the solid background hatch light gray. I am using civil 3d 2013 and the hatch allows a seperate background color mask. I am trying to make all my concrete layers (Top of Curb, Curb Flowline, etc.) a certain color scheme, i.e. shades of green. I would like my on screen concrete hatch patern to be a green color with a gray background, but plot the concrete hatch black with a gray background. I can not figure out how to do this without making two layers. Is there a way to use one layer and utilize the background color mask to show on screen green and gray, but plot black and gray?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI got sent a jpeg of a semi-flat black painted car. The client can only provide these images as they are just for mock ups of sponsors. They asked me to turn the car into a yellow one. What would be the best course to take? I tried adding a new layer in "screen" blending mode.Tried "replace color".Tried using a gradient map.All to no avail. While the car obviously gets the correct color, shadows get washed out and the result is no where "high end". Is there a step I should undertake before changing the car's color, or am I just screwed because of the semi-flat black finish on the car?
I'm not in for a session of painting all shadows and reflections in by hand.
Downloaded .jpeg image of simple Olympic Rings. Using PS in CS6 I can change every ring to a different color except the black ring. It turns gray no matter how I use the adjuments/replace color function. Is this a PS thing ?.

View 1 Replies View RelatedAnyway I'm trying to create an image that's supposed to look old dusty and yellow .. as a result of the centuries that passed since it was written.
The image is supposed to be purely in black/white.
Any good ideas on how I do this?
I use Lightroom 2.2 to import and convert RAW photos from my Panasonic Lumix LX3 to DNG files. Works great except for one thing:
If I shot a photo using the LX3's 'Black and White Dynamic' preset, Lightroom imports it and a few seconds later, the photo becomes colored (really yellow) instead of remaining black and white.
That's weird since I don't use any Lightroom preset when importing these photos. It seems like Lightroom is applying some type of auto-correction to these photos.
One some images, as I increase the resolution, black pixels appear. When the image fits the screen, I can't see anything but as I increase the resolution, these black pixels become very obvious, but only on certain colours, like the blue of this dress. CS5

View 4 Replies View RelatedBecause of the problems with wipeouts, I have switched to using some solid hatch set to colour 255. The hatch is in paperspace, sitting under titleblock and other Layout text. I am plotting to an HP1050C, using a .ctb file with 255 set with grayscale off.
The plot preview is fine, but the hatch blocks come out black on paper. I thought this was the problem with wipeouts, and that hatch didn't suffer from it.

View 7 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to automatically adjust the cut range colours (REDS) in the attached scheme such that the lighter colours denote lower cut depths in the same way that the fill range does (Greens)
I know they can be manually adjusted but when the analysis is run again the colours revert back

My alignment ticks use the stanard Aecc Tick block. It is on layer 0/bylayer/bylayer etc and the style is set by layer. They display correctly in the source drawing but when I xref that drawing into others, the ticks change colour based on what every the current layer is in the host drawing. If the current layer is 0 they dispaly correctly, if my current layer has a colour 5 associated with it then my xref ticks regen to blue. This only happens with the tick not the text.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI'm having an issue. I'm running Vista 64 and and Photoshop CS3. Using my B8850, when I try to make 4x6 prints in Photoshop, they print out black and yellow. I installed Photoshop CS2 and they same thing happened. This only occurs with this one size. Is this a common issue?
I have reinstalled drivers, I have the sizes correct, and color management is in Photoshop only. HP support keeps giving the runaround, and I found out I can print 4x6s using the Windows Picture viewer perfectly, so it's not just the printer.
3DS Max Design 2014 I am trying to get shaded Yellow road arrow markings. I added the markings to the resource kit .. (Diffuse and Opcaity using same image file)
When first used they look correct..
then with some editing to the model and many opens later the image is replaced by a grey block
this is what it looks like in shaded viewport, but still renders correctly
we dont always have time to render to file, we capture screen video. Is there a way to fix this? to get the yellow arrow in shaded viewport - permanently.
I use gimp to make layered stencils for spray painting...I reduce it to a couple of colours, seperate the colours into different layers and then cut them out...
When I do im left with a ghost type image where the original layer was..

Is there any way of avoiding this?
I have a hatched region that clearly has an area, however the geometry properties indicate that there is no area associated. This a a complex region with many PI's. I really don't want to recreate this area.
Is there any way I can create a boundary around the hatch lines?
This might be simple, but what is the best way to hatch a part of a surface at say RL4.00 only so that any part of the surface below RL4.00 is hatched and the rest of the surface is not.

I could try hatching closed polylines made from corridor feature lines , but i get often an error that my boundaries aint closed . SO i started to think , maybe there is a way to do something from surfaces.
Is there a setting for hatch transparency? My work station it works fine. I have a few other users complining that is doesn't work. One user I imported my arg profile and it seemed to do the trick, but the next user I imported my arg and it had no effect.

I've attached a screenshot of the issue I'm dealing with. I have a closed polyline and when I first hatch the area it appears to be correct, but then I'll go do another command and then the hatch seems to extend beyond the boundaries of the polyline.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI would like to know if there is a lisp that would run every time I run the hatch command? I have autosave on, but I never remember to do a good clean save before I run hatch. I remember as autocad locks up and crashes! I would like a list that would prompt me to save when I hit hatch with option of yes, save or cancel. is this a tall order?
