View 3 RepliesI've got a weird problem with pipes in 2014. When I edit a pipe (right-click Pipe Properties) and make a change, when I press OK or Apply, the pipe SIZE changes? It's still listed as a 300mm PVC, but it's being represented as a 410mm? Look at the attached image. The storm (green) shoes a 300mm pipe and 375. The 375 is smaller? The pipe style (as you can see int he image, is set to display the inside pipe walls.
Nothing is unique here about the pipe sizes, this is a stock pipe catalog. But the size doesn't really change, only how the pipe is drawn in the profile. I've never seen something like this before. It measures .418m instead of .3m.
There is a UI bug in PP X6 where the fields for size on the property bar when using the object picker tool show a tooltip "Scale". See screencap

I've got the Pipe Table style just as I need it except for one thing. I have all circular pipes and I would like the "size" column to display in inches rather than in feet. In the past I was able to multiply this number by 12 in the style composer but that doesn't seem to work anymore.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am wanting to copy the behaviour of a built in function in Civil3d on another object basically information on the object is displayed in a box next to the cursor cros hair but its not a tooltip.
My question is what is it and can you access it for do you have to create it yourselve.
Method to change the font inside the the tooltips generated when you hover over an object?? I have followed the tutorials from the developers specifically lab 6 which uses the point monitor event to append text to the tooltips when the aperture is hovering over an item in autocad. I would like to be able to make certain words bold but so far have not figured out how to do so.

View 3 Replies View RelatedHow to display the annotations properly. Perhaps this may just be a display or view setting but I beleive I have checked them all at least 3 times =).
Even in the video he explains all the things explained here but does not explain exactly how to make the dims and ext lines notate and display properly, in model or paper view (view port). I have tried many ways to create a view port in paper space and annotation several dimensions. I constantly get different text sizes and ext line scaled differently within the same view port.....even after I have locked it.
I am also confused about notating dims in the model space within the paper space view port vs on the paper space outside of the model space view port? Perhaps this has something to do with my issues?
Again it may be because I don't understand another function/setting impacting this well enough yet?? I have tried/used every variable in the Dimension Style Manager on the Lines, Text and Fit tabs to no avail.
For several years I've been programming in Inventor and AutoCAD, with VBA. Making macros and creating a button for them in the toolbar of Inventor is no problem. What disturbs me slightly is that the name of the button is the same as the name of the macro. In VBA you can't create functions with spaces in the name. So the name of the toolbar button often looks quite silly.
Is there a way to change the name and the tooltip-text of the toolbar button without loosing the link to the original macro? In AutoCAD this is no problem, but Inventor...

I have recently had my 2007 upgraded to 2010 and I'm finding it annoying that everytime I use the distance command the DYN button turns on and I get too much information on the screen as well as a little box I have to exit everytime. How to keep the DYN button switched off? I'm just happy to have the distance information in the command bar at the bottom.

I can define tooltip for those icons by "Description" property of icons in CUI.
but the limitation is: I will have just single-line and simple tooltips!
so, how can I define multi-line tooltips for my own icons? or even graphical tooltip?!
should I use "Zammel" language?
Modifying the point size/text size assigned at particular annotation scale,
I’m wondering how the point size/text size assigned at particular annotation scale can be modified.
For example, in the attached screenshot, the point size assigned at the annotation scale of 1/1000 is big and I wanted to make it a bit smaller at that scale.

I'm trying to display the papersize of a layout in a block. So far I've looked into diesel and field expressions.
With field expressions I can get the name of the papersize to display that's too long(OVERSIZE: ISO A1), I need only the last two letters.
Does the tooltips on Label Parameters can be modified? I would like to customize the tooltips on label parameters, which currently default to "Edit Parameter"...lame-oh; that tells the user very little. Perhaps the developers could add a customize tooltip control in the Edit Label dialogue box. Can the tooltips be accessed through the database?

I was wondering if there was a way to get the object handle ID to display when rolling over an object or failing that, to get the handle ID to show up in the object quick properties?
At the moment I have to select each object and type LIST to get this information and it's very time consuming if I want to check the handle IDs for multiple objects.
Trying out VS trial. The desktop display only allows full screen which gives me no access to anything else or minimized. What's up with that? I have a big monitor and certainly don't need all of it for one program.

I know in the brush options panel you can enter a brush size in millimetres, but is there any way to permantly make it display the size in mm? I need to know how thick some lines are in mm, and even after going to options and changing all diplay uints to mm, it still shows up as pts.
I've attached a picture of exactly what I'm referring to below. (The "Size" field currently showing "15 pt". I need that area to display mm).
I've used Photoshop for 13 years now and slowly over the years, the subsequent versions have had a problem with the brush cursor maintaining the correct size. Now, with CS6 the problem has become unmanagable! I used to have to go fairly often to preferences to reselect the option to display the actual size of my brushes and pens etc. While a pain, I could deal with it because it only happened once in a while. Now with CS6 it is in a permanent crosshairs mode and will not change no matter what prefs I select! Obviously this makes the program significantly less useful. I'm on a new Mac with Mountain Lion.
