My dragged state leader does not display properly. The attachment runs through my first line of text. My display is set to "As Composed" I do not want the stacked text setting.

I want to add the leader part to the leader that is created when I drag a Station Offset label. This would be the part in a three point leader that goes horizontal for a short distance before the label text begins, similar to how a multi-leader is created. Looks weird having the C3D labels be the only "leadered" noted be without the landing.
I am trying to create a station-offset label style that will drop the trailing zeros in the offset section - e.g. 15' instead of 15.00', but if the offset is not at a whole number, e.g. 15.01, etc. it will display the entire offset.
I created two expressions: IF(OFFSET-TRUNC(OFFSET)=0,.1/12,.00000001/12)
and this one: IF(OFFSET-TRUNC(OFFSET)!=0,.1/12,.00000001/12)
I then created two offset components, one called truncated, and one called full, and assigned the heights to match the expressions.
I have attached the file, the style is ACHD-Sta Off-Rt [copy]

I'm having trouble getting my label style to flip when in dragged state. If I drag it off to the right, the text and line show up just fine, but if I drag to the left, the TC and FS head that way, but the line in between stays put.

The problem is as you add degree symbols and inch (") symbols and paratheses to the text, the leader starts to intersect the station value. I want to move the leader a little below the sta. value so the station vallue is readable. When I move the leader the text moves with it. I tried everything in edit label text option but cannot seem to fix it.

I would like to set up an alignment station offset label that when in the dragged state, offsets the arrowhead from the actual insertion point on the alignment in any direction and distance I specify. I am preparing some plans for a water line. I am working at a 1"=200' scale so all of the blocks representing fittings are scaled up so they are legible.
In some instances, the fittings are right next to each other. If I place an alignment station offset label at the actual station and drag it away from the alignment, the arrowhead is pointing to the station but not the fitting. Is there a way to offset the arrowhead of a C3D label in dragged state other than in the direction of the leader?
I am labeling station and offsets from my alignment for curb returns and such and for some reason if the offset point is directly perpendicular from an alignment PC or PT the label can't find the alignment information. It's like there is a blind spot.

The Dragged State Component for display is set to "As Composed", because I want to just slide it down the line a bit, but have it remain at the same rotation as the line, and it is not allowing me to do so. View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to set up my point label styles and I don't understand how the dragged state settings work. The default setting is "as displayed" but then the leader does not flip, if I change the settings to "stacked text" the leader flips but the text is out of order. See the attached plot of some points to see what I mean, default on the right and stacked text on the left.
How can I set the point label so the leader will flip and keep the label components in the default order?
The labels normal anchor point is the bottom outside diameter of the pipe, but when dragged the anchor snaps back to the cl of the pipe.
The only workaround I was able to come up with is a "static" leader made up of two lines and an arrowhead block, which you can only slide up or down the pipe with the desired appearance but can't stretch.
The attached image shows the Civil 3D pipe label above and the desirable text/leader legacy version below.
When creating a style, (for example a Spot Elevation style), I'd like it to be in a dragged state upon insertion, rather than having it plop down right at the point and then having to click and drag it off to where I want it.
I can't seem to find the option to change this though..........
When I am in the file with the labels everything is the proper size. When I reference this file into my sheet file everything becomes tiny. Any legitimate solution?

View 7 Replies View RelatedI am trying to edit labels for a particular alignment. All labels are along the same alignment and use the same alignment style. I need to change "defl." in each of those labels to "defl:". So simply changing the period to a colon. But it is a lot of work to go through each label and then in edit label text and then change it. Plus, I have to do this on 12 sheets. That's like 300 labels! Is there a quick way to achieve this. If it were simple mtext or dtext then I could use the find and replace option, but these are civil 3d alignment station offset labels? Is there a lisp that can accomplish this task? I am using Civil 3D 2010.

View 5 Replies View RelatedIn the dragged state, I don't want to use 'As Composed' because the label is composed to be parallel to the line, but I want it to flip to horizontal to the view when dragged. This is working fine with 'Stacked Text'
What is not working is the text justification. I want it to remain centre justified, as it is composed. But there doesn't seem to be any option for this when you use the 'Stacked Text' option for the dragged state. I thought that setting the 'Leader Justification' to false might do it, but that just makes it always left justified. Am I missing something here? Is there no 'Top right/bottom right/middle center/top left.....' option for Stacked Text? And if not, why not?

Using Civil 3d2012, Is it possible to change the alignment label style set after the alignment has been created? For example, for an alignment that was created with alignment label set X - change the label set to alignment label set Y? It seems like this should be pretty easy, I must be missing something obvious.

Sta:
Delta Angle
LAT
LONG
We can make it work with a Northing and Easting, but there is no option for a LAT LONG under the tangent intersection labels. I tried to make an expression that would format a Northing as a LAT but it just gave me jibberish.
I was able to do it but adding a point at each PI and making a point reference text, but you then have to select a different point for each label.... which works but it is still a multi step process.
Is it possible to modify a label set to a new starting station, e.g., instead of the alignment starting at 0, change it to start at 100?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have alingment style components set to various layers, where I control their plot and view style. After years of successful control, recently I found that I the viewports are not displaying the layers correctly pertaining to the sytle. For example, I have line & curve components set to a layer C-Road-Cl and all properties by layer. Then in various viewports throughout the project, I'll set viewport overrides to control color and plotsytle of those components.
Today, I found that the C-Road-Cl layer will not control the view of the components or the plotsytle, and that the objects are only being controlled by the layer that the object is on. But, this does not relate to Object Layers Drawing Settings, as I have the "immediate and independent layer on/off...." box unchecked. Further, nothing seems to affect the color of the object in the viewport.
After further research, I found that the a completely different layer is controlling the viewport display of the "line & curve" components (C-Road-Stan) and the alignment object layer is controlling the plotstyle.
I was trying to find a way to not have the last ending Station Label show up on my centerline is there a override or way to tell it to just label to the last 100 or 50 foot station?
