AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Station / Offset Label FIX
May 29, 2013When I am in the file with the labels everything is the proper size. When I reference this file into my sheet file everything becomes tiny. Any legitimate solution?

View 9 RepliesI am trying to create a station-offset label style that will drop the trailing zeros in the offset section - e.g. 15' instead of 15.00', but if the offset is not at a whole number, e.g. 15.01, etc. it will display the entire offset.
I created two expressions: IF(OFFSET-TRUNC(OFFSET)=0,.1/12,.00000001/12)
and this one: IF(OFFSET-TRUNC(OFFSET)!=0,.1/12,.00000001/12)
I then created two offset components, one called truncated, and one called full, and assigned the heights to match the expressions.
I have attached the file, the style is ACHD-Sta Off-Rt [copy]

New to civil 3d...I have a series of bore locations along an alignment that I need the station offset and distance. I tried POINT -> ALIGNMENT: STATION/OFFSET, and that prompts me to tell where i want the offsets to go. I want to be able to pick the center of each bore and have civil 3d tell me that information. What command do I use?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am trying for last hour but cannot make this work. I have attached screen shot of a dynamic label with some text. The problem is as you add degree symbols and inch (") symbols and paratheses to the text, the leader starts to intersect the station value. I want to move the leader a little below the sta. value so the station vallue is readable. When I move the leader the text moves with it. I tried everything in edit label text option but cannot seem to fix it.

I would like to set up an alignment station offset label that when in the dragged state, offsets the arrowhead from the actual insertion point on the alignment in any direction and distance I specify. I am preparing some plans for a water line. I am working at a 1"=200' scale so all of the blocks representing fittings are scaled up so they are legible.
In some instances, the fittings are right next to each other. If I place an alignment station offset label at the actual station and drag it away from the alignment, the arrowhead is pointing to the station but not the fitting. Is there a way to offset the arrowhead of a C3D label in dragged state other than in the direction of the leader?
Typically when we have station offset for a storm structure shown to center of structure. How do you handle station offset with a storm structure label for say back of curb.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am labeling station and offsets from my alignment for curb returns and such and for some reason if the offset point is directly perpendicular from an alignment PC or PT the label can't find the alignment information. It's like there is a blind spot.

I want to add the leader part to the leader that is created when I drag a Station Offset label. This would be the part in a three point leader that goes horizontal for a short distance before the label text begins, similar to how a multi-leader is created. Looks weird having the C3D labels be the only "leadered" noted be without the landing.
I currently have a drawing with a road alignment and stationing. Is there a way to automatically station and offset a point that is not on the alignment line?
For instance, our alignment line is the centerline of the road. I need a station and offset of the new right of way line points at different places in the drawing. I want to use the alignment stationing to have it automatically create the station and offset at the point I choose.
how to set-up a style what i want to do is label the station and offset of the insertion point of a block by selecting that block and placing the name of the block at the end of the label. as such it would read sta: 14+58.25 - L12.50' P Pole
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am trying to use the Station Offset to Points report from the Reports manager. Currently, as far as I ca see, there is no way to select a group of points to include, either by point group or selection from the drawing. There is only "Select All' or "Deselect All". I want a report that will show the station, offset, raw or full description and elevation of a group of points related to an alignment/street. I don't see that option.
View 2 Replies View RelatedA co-worker asked if I could create a report that listed the station and offset values for selected points & alignment. After selecting "execute" for the Station Offset to Points report, the file gets hung up before I can select the points and alignment I want.
I've tried xml-ing out the desired points & alignment into another file and running the report from..
All other reports under Alignment and Points work fine (drawing does not have other C3D objects).
I'm using C3D 2011 version 3.
Civil 3D 2013
Toolspace > Toolbox > Reports Manager > Points > Station Offset to Points
why point number 9 comes after 1 instead of 8?
Clicking on the column headers to sort does not work.
Found another report of this, but in an earlier version of C3D.

Do have to create alignments for these simple calculations.
I am trying to edit labels for a particular alignment. All labels are along the same alignment and use the same alignment style. I need to change "defl." in each of those labels to "defl:". So simply changing the period to a colon. But it is a lot of work to go through each label and then in edit label text and then change it. Plus, I have to do this on 12 sheets. That's like 300 labels! Is there a quick way to achieve this. If it were simple mtext or dtext then I could use the find and replace option, but these are civil 3d alignment station offset labels? Is there a lisp that can accomplish this task? I am using Civil 3D 2010.

I have an alignment that starts at station 1+00 and runs through 20+00.
By right clicking the station labels and editing the label group, I have updated my major station increments to 200' and my minor stations (ticks only) to 100'. The problem is, I want the 200' increments to begin at my starting station (1+00), so that the labels would read 1+00, 3+00, 5+00, etc.
As it is now, the above settings make my labels read: 1+00, 2+00, 4+00, 6+00, etc.
How do I modify the leader for station and offset labels to underline the top line of text?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am looking to create a alignment label style within 2013 that allows me to create a label that looks somewhat like the following:
alignment 1
sta=xx+xx
alignment 2
sta=xx+xx
The label would be used at the intersection of 2 separate alignments.
I can label the superimposed profile but c3d uses the stations of main profile of profile view.
Thinking on the future.... c3D can have the ability of use superelevation values to calculate the right values of superimposed profiles ?
I've read or seen a video on this before, but don't recall fix. As you can see in the attached image that half of my station label is missing, is there a fix for this. I think I recall reading you need to include a data band strictly for positioning of profile view.
