AutoCAD Architecture :: Keynote Database Error With Batch Plot
Jan 18, 2011My office currently has a unique keynote database for each project. When I open a file with a sheet keynote legend, AutoCAD 2010 opens up the correct database and everything is fine. This is also true when I try to plot a sheet file. However, when I plot through the batch-plot process, AutoCAD does not open the correct database.

The database has keynotes listed as: (1.1,1.5...2.3,2.5...9.13,9.14 etc.)
All other keynotes are fine. When selecting one particular keynote 9.14-Carpet Tile Walk Off Mat (CPT-2)
...instead of 9.14 displaying on the plan like all the other keynotes, this displays: 09 68 00.C1
(I've made sure that only the key is selected to display and not the key and note option from the annotation options list. So that can't be the problem.)

AutoCAD Architecture :: Sheet Keynote Schedule Table Style?
Mar 16, 2012Im trying to change the table style formatting and nothing seems to stick. I want to turn the border off in the title cell and only use a thick underline.
I change the schedule cell, save changes to the style and Ive tried saving as a new style but when I reinsert the cell format is gone. Back to the out of the box state.
Also, when I save the OTB style to my new A3 Sheet Keynote style the new style doesnt match what was saved.

Mar 4, 2013I am getting an error when I try to use my detail components.
It said it cannot find the AecDtlComponents (US).mbd. I have found the database and opened it up. It looks fine.
When I go into my options under AEC content I add a "Detail Component Database" it said "cannot open database... AecDtlComponents.mbd"

Sep 28, 2012We are using Autodesk Architecture 2013 running on 64bit Windows 7 workstations. When I try to access the Detail Component Database I get an error message stating the AecDtlComponents (US).mdb will not open. I went into Tools-->Options-->AEC Content and tried to Add/Remove a database but the list was empty. When I try to Add a database I get the same error message AecDtlComponents (US).mdb will not open.

I have reinstalled ACA 2011, I have copy this same file from another computer, verified the permissions etc... I can click ok and keep working but it randomly will pop up 3-4 or 5 times in a row and I cannot link it to any one event (Can’t cause it to re occur) Also, I cant access the details component manager.

AutoCAD Architecture :: 2013 Copy And Paste With Perpendicular Tracking?
Feb 27, 2013I have recently upgraded from LT2011 TO Architecture 2013. I always use perpendicular tracking when copy and pasting but when I want to copy (or paste) a certain distance perpendicular to that object it doesn't like it. It's tricky to explain but say I wanted to copy a block of a teble 1200mm from the original block I'd copy, hover over the basepoint and move my cursor in the intended direction and type in 1200 and enter. The previous version of AutoCAD worked this command fine but since the upgrade I'm having trouble. Surely it's something as simple as changing the drafting settings bit I've gone through them all and no luck.

AutoCAD LT :: 2013 Multileader Has Dots In Keynote Bubble
Jul 12, 2012I created a Multileader style in AutoCAD LT 2011 that duplicated our Architectural firms standards from previous versions. Pretty simple. The problem is, when utilized using AutoCAD LT 2012, AutoCAD LT 2013, AutoCAD 2012, or AutoCAD 2013, a small dot appears in the keynote bubble. (it also plots) Workarounds include checking “Automatically include landing” and/or changing “Content – Insertion point” to “Content – Center Extents”, in the “Modify Multileader Styles” dialogue. Both unacceptable per our office standards. Tough being 2 versions of AutoCAD behind office wide, because of such a minor bug but our keynoting has looked the same since 1992 and I really thought it would have been fixed since posting after the release of 2012.
Attached is a .dwg or you can follow these instructions. Start a new drawing, go in to “Annotate”, Click “Leaders”, hit “new”. Name it whatever you like, I’ve named mine “Test”. Under “Leader Structure”, uncheck “Automatically include landing”. Under “Content” change “Multileader type:” to “Block”, “Source block” to “Circle”(this setting can be set to anything), and “Attachment:” to “insertion point”. Hit “O.K.”, highlight your newly created Multileader style, hit “Set Current”, and close out. Test your new multileader style and notice the dot.

Aug 9, 2013I am attempting to create a circle keynote. The circle part of the keynote shall resize itself according to the width of the text in a fashion similar to how the TCIRCLE command draws a circle around text.

Nov 6, 2011Having a problem with Paste and Paste as Block in the right mouse click drop down window.
In the right Mouse click drop down window the Paste, Paste as Block and the Paste to Original Coordinates are grayed out.
The copy with Base Point works, as does the Ctrl+V and Ctrl+Shift+V and repeat Paste Block from the recent Input drop down selection. Why the paste commands are grayed out?
Revit :: Edit The Keynote Family
Dec 16, 2009I'm trying to edit the keynote family with no luck. We are updating our standards and getting into using the keynote system in revit. I have added the correct keynote to most of our standard materials and its working great. I then opened the keynote family and changed the justification of the text to justify the way we do notes. I also changed the line style of the leader lines so it matches our other notes.
All went well. I get stuck when I try to change the gap between the leader tail and the text. I can't find anywhere to actually edit the line/arrow in the family that would let me change how that works. If you see my attached image the one on the top is our standard note and the other two are the keynote family.
How to set / change that gap?

Oct 26, 2011I have a Revit model (A) being linked into another Revit Model (B). In model B I set the VG of the linked model A to By Linked View. Now, when I do this I see all my Element Keynotes, but non of my User Keynotes show.
Things tested:
Created models C and D to try in fresh environment - All Keynotes show up
Created model E and linked A into it - User Keynotes do not show up
Overwrote the Keynote Family in A and retested - User Keynotes do not show up
So this means there is some problem in Model A that it is not pushing the User Keynotes through when linked.
