I have a custom block that includes a sheet keynote field. When trying to setup a keynote legend for those keys, they are 'filtered out'. Why?
How to get the legend to accept keynote fields that are not generated by the stock keynote tools?
How do you enlarge the legend key squares in a display theme style legend? Can you add schedule information to this legend like the total SF of a particular display theme style?

I have a keynote legend filtered per sheet but I also want another sheet that shows the full keynote list even if I haven't placed all of them in a view. Is this possible?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have been trying to print a Keynote Legend directly to a network printer specifically because I wish to reference the legend whilst working at another PC to edit some specification notes which refer to the project I am working on. However, whilst the process (in Revit) seems straight forward "R"> Print> Print> Print Dialog>OK, having set the print properties etc, when I go to 'Print Range'> Selected Views/Sheets> Select> View/Sheet Set Dialog> <in-session> the two other Legends are listed but not the Keynote Legend! See below, whilst the 'Keynote Legend Can be clearly seen in the Project Browser and is the open view.

My office currently has a unique keynote database for each project. When I open a file with a sheet keynote legend, AutoCAD 2010 opens up the correct database and everything is fine. This is also true when I try to plot a sheet file. However, when I plot through the batch-plot process, AutoCAD does not open the correct database.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIm trying to change the table style formatting and nothing seems to stick. I want to turn the border off in the title cell and only use a thick underline.
I change the schedule cell, save changes to the style and Ive tried saving as a new style but when I reinsert the cell format is gone. Back to the out of the box state.
Also, when I save the OTB style to my new A3 Sheet Keynote style the new style doesnt match what was saved.
I have to ad a object to the legend of a map in autocad.
The map contains a grid with on the right lower corner a legend window. Someone else drew some tents and fences on the map and most of the object were copied and placed in the legend with the text next to them explaining what the object is.
If i turn off layer 0 both the objects as well as the grid and legend disappear (means they are all drawn on layer 0) all other layers are the background of the map.
Problem is that I can select the objects drawn on the map but when i copy and drag them to the legend window they disappear behind the legend.
Even if I order them to be op top or in front of other objects they stay behind the white rectangular that contains the legend.
Another problem is that the legend and the grid aren't selectable, is there a way to make them selectable again?
How do you select what the area field is taking the area of?
View 5 Replies View RelatedOne of the guys here has created a title block which has a scale field in it, this field reads the scale at which the title block is brought in, by use of an invisible attribute (he used the block in model space so that's why I scale them up). When he xref the dwg into my main drawing all is fine and the scales are as they should be but when he prints, the scales all show 1:1 on the print and in the main drawing. Could this be due to the fact that the xref is brought in at 1:1? But we can't see why this would change it as the block is obviously still at e.g. 1:50 in the xref.

I have recently started using FIELDS in our drawings. I must say, they are very powerful.
This is what I would like to accomplish but have not been able to do it on my own.
I want to be able to add text/description to a block, then invoke that text/description with a leader. For instance, if I have a block of a 6x6 post w/ a square, I want to be able to insert the block, do a leader and invoke the custom description "P.T. 6x6 POST W/ CONC. FOOTING"
I have a question about sheet name field, can it be broken into 2 or 3 lines?
Our office has huge text size for drawing name, which can not be changed to a smaller one (you know the politic craps about standards).
So I wonder if there is a way to break the Sheetname field to 2,3 or 4 lines to accommodate this. So far the field is set to have one single line at best. It was good for "floor plan" but not good for "floor plan and etc, etc...."
Is it possible to insert a project detail field in a sheet column?
View 2 Replies View RelatedWe have a schedule tag for space objects created on our tool palette. When you use the Multiple option, you cannot do a window selection unless only spaces are visiable. If other object types are in the selection set, the program seems to get hung up... no error is produced... it just seems to spin relentlessly. We have to Cnt+Alt+Delete to get out of it. You cannot preselect the spaces and use 'P' for previous selection set, since the last selection set was the first one you selected to place the first shedule tag.
I thought I could create a tool to return the selection set to the select object prompt with the simple line of code, like this - this should work but does not:
(ssget "X" (list (cons 0 "AEC_SPACE")))
it returns the spaces to the prompt, but for some reason they get filtered out.Below is the command line snippet that shows multiple attempts...

I do not know what has changed but the select objects works differently now. For example, when 3 lines are drawn and the erase command is selected. I do a crossing window and the command line says 3 objects selected. But when I do it again and only select 2 lines, it says 2 objects selected and the 3rd line is then unselected. It used to say 2 objects selected and ignore but the total was 3.

Somethings are just acting weird now, like my hatching...
All my old hatches that were associative are acting like one seltions like if i hatch a polyline now when i go to select that hatch it now selects the polyline as well.
This never happened before abd the only way to edit it now is to either make it in the properties not associative then i lose my boundary or just to explode it then i a ihave an exploded hatch...before i made it assoc. and i could just edit or select the hatch only i think its an option setting...
I can select mtext in paper space to edit it. I can create a new text object and select it but I am unable to select existing mtext objects. Audit and recover does not eliminate it. Everything is at 0 elevation. The only to select it is to write block the entire drawing out. That gets sort of inconvenient. Is there a variable that is getting set like the imageframe variables that prevents me from select the text?

in other words, instead of text at a leader, I want to put a diamond shape with a number in it coresponding to a key note.
I created a Multileader style in AutoCAD LT 2011 that duplicated our Architectural firms standards from previous versions. Pretty simple. The problem is, when utilized using AutoCAD LT 2012, AutoCAD LT 2013, AutoCAD 2012, or AutoCAD 2013, a small dot appears in the keynote bubble. (it also plots) Workarounds include checking “Automatically include landing” and/or changing “Content – Insertion point” to “Content – Center Extents”, in the “Modify Multileader Styles” dialogue. Both unacceptable per our office standards. Tough being 2 versions of AutoCAD behind office wide, because of such a minor bug but our keynoting has looked the same since 1992 and I really thought it would have been fixed since posting after the release of 2012.
Attached is a .dwg or you can follow these instructions. Start a new drawing, go in to “Annotate”, Click “Leaders”, hit “new”. Name it whatever you like, I’ve named mine “Test”. Under “Leader Structure”, uncheck “Automatically include landing”. Under “Content” change “Multileader type:” to “Block”, “Source block” to “Circle”(this setting can be set to anything), and “Attachment:” to “insertion point”. Hit “O.K.”, highlight your newly created Multileader style, hit “Set Current”, and close out. Test your new multileader style and notice the dot.
I am attempting to create a circle keynote. The circle part of the keynote shall resize itself according to the width of the text in a fashion similar to how the TCIRCLE command draws a circle around text.
I've banged my head against the wall all day trying to get this to work with dynamic blocks, but it is beyond me.

The database has keynotes listed as: (1.1,1.5...2.3,2.5...9.13,9.14 etc.)
All other keynotes are fine. When selecting one particular keynote 9.14-Carpet Tile Walk Off Mat (CPT-2)
...instead of 9.14 displaying on the plan like all the other keynotes, this displays: 09 68 00.C1
(I've made sure that only the key is selected to display and not the key and note option from the annotation options list. So that can't be the problem.)
