Jan 29, 2013The content browser in AutoCAD Architecture 2013 does not seem to be working on a standard users computer. The profile has been rebuilt alongside a repair/reinstall through the control panel.

Tools > Content Browser
and typing content browser in the command do not result in anything.

Feb 9, 2009I just installed Autocad Architecture 2009 on a new computer. Content Browser will not open from the drop down menu or from the Start menu. I have now uninstalled Autocad Architecture 2009 and all Autodesk applications, deleting all folders and autocad registry folders then re-installed with no sucess. Everything else seems to be working fine.

Oct 12, 2011I am using the 'Room tag with Dimensions' from the Content Browser. When it comes into the drawing, the room name is not centered above the rest of the tag text. So, I opened the block and moved the text and then saved the block. When I go to use the tag again - it tags everything - walls, doors, windows, etc...
Also, the drag and drop function does not work well - I have to drag a tool several times into the drawing from the content browser in order for it to work..

Dec 1, 2011My content browser doesn't have the original options it used to have, instead it has a customized version. But the customized version does not have anything in it. How do I get it back? No matter where I search in CAD or in my files I can't find the original. Do I have to uninstall and install the program again?

Aug 5, 2011I have used the Content Browser sparsely in the past to drag and drop items to a tool palette....but I was thinking it may be a go location to manage our detail library....
As a test i had tried to drag or copy past autocad details into the content browser with no success. I suppose there is a process to make linework usable for the content browser.
Do i need to convert the linework into a multi-view object and then drag it from the style manager into the content browser?

Dec 13, 2011We use AA in the office but we have one version of autocad straight on a laptop. How can I get a tool palette we created in AA into autocad? I understand in AA that you use the content browser in AA to export a palette group but then how do you actually get that into Autocad for use? I think autocad uses an atc file or something like that.
Also, when trying to export the tool palette in AA using the content browser, the help file said I should be able to grab the tool palette and slide/ copy it into the new cataloque I created in the content browser. However, eveytime I grab onto the tool palette, the content browser woudl disappear. I finally just selected all of the items in my tool palatte and copied/ pasted them into the category folder I created within the new catalogue.

Feb 7, 2012I just migrated from 2006 to 2012... I was able to get my old custom tool palettes into 2012 by opening the Content Browser and idropping them. However I noticed that these palettes are not 'refreshable' like they used to be. In the Palette Properties it says *This palette is not shared from a catalog*... after doing a search of that message in these forums I found this thread: [URL]....
I followed David's instructions:
1. Created a new Palette Group
2. Created a new palette in that Group
3. i-dropped tools from my custom catalog in the Content Browser onto that new palette.
Still there is no 'refresh' option...???

May 16, 2013We have the following problem (on AIS2010): we often recycle existing designs with small changes/adapting, means: the (sub)assembly is saved with a new name and part number, and the subcomponents that need to be changed, get a new part number and file name too. So we save a copy, save the parts need changes and then replace the "old" parts in the new assy.
Doing so unfortunately retains the "name" of the component in the model browser tree. Why is that in the first place.
But I'm trying to write a macro that resets the dspalyed names in the browser.
What I found so far, is that under BrowserNodeDefinition, there's a Label property which contains the displayed name, and this does not get changed when the part is replaced. So I thought, I can just compare these BrowserNodeDefinition.Labels with the actual file names and forge a new Label from the new name and the sequence number, however, the BrowserNodeDefinition object is read only, can't be changed.
I haven't found anything else that would contain this name that is displayed in the browser.
Lightroom :: Thumbnail Badge For Collections Not Being Displayed
Jul 4, 2012I am using Lightroom 4.1 on a vista computer. I am in the process of building a number of sub-collections within a main collection. About 400 pictures selected so far. I have set the view>options to view thumbnail badges in grid view. However, only one photo, which I have not done anything to, shows the badge for collections. I would expect that every photo I assigned to a collection would show the collections badge. When I deselect the thumbnail badge box, the badge disappears from the one photo that has it. When I turn it back on, only the one photo shows the badge.
How can I have all the photos assigned to a collection show the badge?

Nov 25, 2013I'm doing an evacuation plan of an office building. The drawing itself is in the model space, obviously. The fire extinguishers and escape routes are added in layout.
The problem is that everything that I add in the layout ends up beneath the drawing in model space. I.e. the walls of the building are shown in front of the fire extinguishers which makes my evac.plan look like poop.AutoCad Architecture 2013.

Aug 20, 2012I recently upgraded from CS5 to CS6 and when I save a file, in any format, I get no image icon thumbnail for the saved file. If I save the same file in CS5, I get the thumbnail image icon, but with severe pixelation of the thumbnail image. It used to be I would have to periodically reboot the finder or fix permissions to resolve the latter issue, but now even that doesn't work. I'm running Mac OS 10.8.

I have 3 computers and it's doing the same thing on all 3. I'm using WIN7 64bit, Vista Ultimate 32bit, and CorelDraw X4. I have all of the Windows and CorelDraw updates installed and I've even uninstalled and reinstalled multiple tines.

Jun 25, 2013We are using AutoCAD Architecture 2013 on machines running Windows 7. When multiple AutoCAD drawings are open on most machines in the office the icon in the Windows Toolbar shows multiple stacked AutoCAD images, and when you hover over those icons, all of the open drawings appear in thumbnail across the bottom. (This is a very nice feature!)
Unfortunately one machine in the office is not doing that with AutoCAD. That machine will show multiple icons and thumbnail previews for PDFs, Word files, etc., but not AutoCAD. Is there a setting that can be changed to make the thumbnail drawings for ALL open drawings appear when hovering over the icon in the Windows Toolbar? (That computer will show a thumbnail preview of the active drawing, but not all open drawings.)

Oct 4, 2011I'm not sure what happened but all of a sudden when I try to open an existing drawing it no longer pops up a box to browse, it asks me in my command bar at the bottom to type in the name of the drawing. The same thing happens when I try to "save as" a drawing... How to get this back to normal?

Jul 20, 2012For some reason unknown to us the Project Browser has double entries for the current projects: that is, a project shows up twice, with the same job number and such.
Windows Explorer correctly shows only one project folder, and in the Project Browser selecting either entry will bring up the project correctly.So, functionally we could live with this but I'd like to clean this up and I think deleting either entry would actually delete the project.

Sep 18, 2013In ACA 2011 I have the project browser icon. This is easy to find and use in the 2011 quick access toolbar.
When I open the "Customize user interface" I find and select "Project Browser", then I see under the properties of the command I only see "Display" and "Advanced" nothing else is listed. This command is quite odd compared to other commands.
However, in ACA 2013 this icon is completely missing, I cannot find it in the quick access toolbar, when I search in the "Customize user interface" command list, I cannot find "Project Browser" in the search field of the command list.
How do I find the command for project browser so that I can drag it / steal it from another .cuix file?
Bonus Question: How do I stop the sheet set manager from always showing up? I use the sheets tab of the project navigator all the time.

Feb 10, 2011When I am browsing to open drawings for some reson the back button doesn't work with the ACA2011 file browser. The mouse button works fine with all other applications so am I correct to assume something is wrong with the ACA file browser?
