ACA2011:
Shademode is normally set at 2Dwireframe. Whenever I hit QSAVE, or hit the save icon, the screen changes, and then shademode changes to Wireframe. The UCS icon also changes from the standard white to the 3D red, green & blue.
This all happened after I tried to render, but gave up on it. I added no lights, and turned off the sun.
I updated my computer to windows 7 32 bit and need the file: AdskHwCertificationDatabase.xml - version 17.1.0.4 so that I can find out the correct driver for my OS and my quadrofx 1700 graphics card. Autodesk doesn't support 2008 Architecture and the on;y file I can find is buried in a torrent file with a pirated copy of 2008 and I DO NOT wish to download that.

View 3 Replies View RelatedThe content browser in AutoCAD Architecture 2013 does not seem to be working on a standard users computer. The profile has been rebuilt alongside a repair/reinstall through the control panel.

and typing content browser in the command do not result in anything.
I do not get why new Archicad Architecture has 3d modeling when Revit architecture already provided for it. What is the different between those two? I really want to know the difference. It bothers me somewhat about them.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am in the process of coverting over to the STB plot style format and I have a problem which I cannot understand.
While in the drawing I want to convert I started with CONVERTCTB, the dilague box appears and I selected my current CTB plotstyle (the one I use to do my regular plots with) and upon accepting it another dialogue box appears asking me to name the new STB plotstyle. I did so and a message came up informing me the conversion was successful.
I then typed CONVERTPSTYLES and a message comes up followed by the dialogue box where I am to select an STB file. Here I selected the file I created in the CTB conversion in the previous step.
The conversion seemed to work correctly but when I go into the layer properties manager the plotstyles all have the same named style ie style 1, when I select one of these plotstyles to change it all except 3 styles are noted as missing.
I read that when I complete the conversion I should have plotstyles with old_pen_01 etc.
I have attached a snap shot of the resulting layer manager. The active plotstyle is the one that was converted during the CTB process ie the first step above.
I'm having trouble plotting to PDF
We normally plot to PDF using the free Cute PDF converter which is quite good although we get out of memory issues from time to time which is not so good.
We have therefore decided to use the one provided by Autodesk (DWG-PDF.PC3). The main drawings appear fine however the text we use within our title bars is awful and bloated for some reason. I've read the help file and cannot see anything relating to this issue. On the attached image the left hand side shows a PDF created with the Adesk DWG-PDF.PC3 and the one on the right is with the Cute PDF, although a different size there is a clear difference in resolution.
How can I permanently turn off the NAVVCUBEDISPLAY. No matter how many times I turn off the variable it always comes back up on new drawings or old one where it hasn't been turned off yet.

We've always printed to PDF rather than use the built-in AutoCAD PDF exporting functions. Today I decided to play around with the built-in option to see how it worked. It didn't.
I opened a sheet to export. Went to the A->Export->PDF. First tried the default settings, resulted in Device Not Found error in the plot/publish details window. Tried changing the settings a bit, same result.
If it's a built-in function, why is the device not found???
Incidentally, I wanted to use the Adobe PDFMaker option, but it doesn't work with 64 bit AutoCAD. :-(
I want to do what should be quite a simple thing. I want to set up a new A3 template, with a border and title block. Then I want to print a drawing onto that A3 sheet to a scale suitable to fit nicely on the page. Try as I might, I cannot find any tutorials to tell me how to do this.

I've done a repaire and a reinstall on both, but to no avail. BTW, they both did work, untill a couple a days ago. Uninstall then reinstall??

When they convert from DWG to illustrator on my DWG detail which has color, the color goes crazy. The software is incompatible. (They have a MAC) What format works best??? We have tried EPS, JPEG, DXF

We have a problem with Autodesk 360 tab in AutoCAD Architecture and AutoCAD. We have created two deployments. One for AutoCAD Architecture and one for AutoCAD. In both deployments we have choosen not to install Autodesk 360. We edited the ini file as told in this thread [URL] ..., and it works fine. However now we want to install Autodesk 360 for som users. We installed via AdSync.msi in the cloudsync folder and the 360 client was installed. The problem is that The 360 tab in AutoCAD still is grayd out and ther is no 360 tab in options.
We even tried to install with the original ini file but with no luck.
How do we convert a DWG file in Teamcenter as a dataset to a PDF?
Can we call the PUBLISH functionality of AutoCAD?
Is there some way to create a table with percentages? Example:
EXTERIOR MATERIALS
BRICK VENEER 3,451 SF 43%

View 4 Replies View RelatedI'd like to apply a property set to a dimension, tag it, and have the tag display the dimension value. This tag would be remote from the dimension, and on a separate layer, which would remain on when the dimension layer is frozen.
At present, the property set for dimensions appears not to include the dimension value.
We are a small office running ACA 2010 on Win7 64-bit machines, individual licenses. All our files are stored on the server and we do not use ACA sheet manager for file creation.
We are having an issue with files not saving! We have two working on the same project and they are trading between who has the base open and who is viewing "read only". Seemingly randomly one will open a base and it will be reverted back to yesterday with work lost! This can be documented when the person with "read only" open can see the changes and sometimes we have printed after the changes are made, but cannot open the editable file and see the changes. Sometimes the .bak will have the changes and sometimes not.
Does this have anything to do with "allow other users to Refedit current drawing" setting?
Just upgraded our PCs to Autocad Architecture 2013. I migrated all of our fonts and templates to the new 2013 folders. However, when I open a drawing the SXH are loaded and displayed correctly. As soon as I click on or edit any of that text, it changes to simplex and will not display / print correctly.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI loaded ACA 2014, then customized it with my old .cuix files so all would be 'normal' for me. When I open ACA now I get the following message:
"An executable file was found outside of the specified trusted locations. What do you want to do?"
followed by the choice of 'load' or 'don't load' in a dialogue. (does this for every .mnl file)
My question is, "Can you set something somewhere to tell ACA to load these each time without the dialogue?" This happens every time I open the program. You'd think after I've got it all set and saved my profile and set my workspace, etc. that ACA would figure it out that I 'trust' these executable files.
I am trying to bring in a KML file into CAD. Specificaly, I am trying to bring the contour lines in as polylines/lines. Is there a way to convert KML into DWG/DXF files that can be opened? I can live without the heights being part of it as I can just refer back to my Google Earth to get that information, I just need the lines themselves.
