Sometime the ViewCube disappear from my screen, so it is not possible to rotate my drawing so see my objects in 3D.
The same ViewCube is in my Viewport and in this case I would like to make it disappear due the Viewport is locked and the commands do not operate normally here in this area.
Just in case you do not know what is the ViewCube please check the images attached.
I have been playing with mudbox again recently having not used it for some time and noticed my viewport was getting really jerky when tumbling the viewport (this is with the basic mud head SD to around half a million polys). I also noticed the cursor being affected when moving near to the viewcube so I disabled the viewcube and performance returned to normal. I can work without the viewcube but Mud is one application where it is actually very usefol IMHO.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm using ACAD 2013, and for the first time since I installed it a month or so ago, I opened AutoTrack (by mistake). Now whenever I double click an AutoCAD file, it will automatically open in in AutoTrack, unless I open AutoCAD and open the file that way. It may be a coincidence, but my viewcube has just stopped working, and has become a static, unselectable image - like a fuzzy stamp on my drawing. I can't click or right click on it, and when I zoom, it doesn't stay in the same place at the same size, like it's supposed to.
This was happening when I was using 2012 too, but stopped after I installed 2013. As I said, it has just started up again after I opened AutoTrack by mistake.
I am having a small but annoying problem with the viewcube in AutoCAD 2014. In all the previous versions that had the viewcube, when I unchecked the "Zoom to Extents after view change" box, the view would pivot about the center of the screen. Now it seems to pivot about an arbitrary point an I have to zoom_e anyway.

I have parts with lots of faces and need to rotate all the faces at the same time, like 2012.
Also, I need the changes to be updated in all iparts, whereas at the moment the Adjust only seems to affect each one. Again, much less limited, but I need the option to update all at once too.
In AutoCAD 2013:
I have received a model in which the solids all appear "rendered" in model space. For example, if I extrude a circle or a rectangle, it immediately appears rendered. I am used to (and require) the solids as wire frames. Is there some setting that makes solids in this drawing appear rendered while mine (in a new drawing) appear as wire frames?
How to rectify my model space text issues for a set of drawings. There are approximately 12 drawings which all have the same problem. I have not seen this problem in other drawings.
The text in model space appears bold and rough. I have checked that all the text is set on the 0 Z plane. I have taken the following corrective actions and have not had success:
-Confirmed text is at Z=0
-Reset the UCS to world
-Changed the Z coordinate to arbitrary number and set it back to 0
-Checked that drawing & viewports are 2-D Wireframe
-Other Desperate Measures: Purged, Audited, Created in PS then move to MS
We had a CAD temp. that set up the drawings who is no longer with us, so I have clue what he did to the drawings when setting them up.
I thought there was a setting for this? I want to adjust the Osnaps so they appear further away from the point. IE: As I want to pick the quadrant I have to get so close to the quadrant before the osnap shows. I can't remember the variable to adjust this distance.

Trying to change the color of a layer in a viewport (different than the default layer color (i.e. model layer color)). Objects are set to bylayer. Â Changing the VP color in the layer dialog brings up the color dialog, select a different color, click OK and the VP Color DOESN"T change in the layer dialog. It stays at its previous color. Â Occurs on several machines.

View 2 Replies View RelatedJust upgrade my system to Vistax64 and installed my CS3 on here and its working great. There is however a strange thing going on with my palettes UI and it disappearing. I was just testing it out after the install (which installed fine) and have been using it now for about two weeks. I did try searching all over Google and stuff like that to see if anyone else ran into this issue but didn't really find anything useful. Attached are some screen shots so you can see what I'm talking about. As you can see, that is actually my Layers Palette has no top border, heading, nor tabs. It's just blank. If I click onto it, it will collapse (minimize) and everything will show up again (tabs, buttons to close the palette, etc) If i click on it again, then it'll just expand like it should look. It no only does this with the layers palette but with all the windows docked to the right side if expanded out. (not sure if I'm making any sense, pictures tell the whole story) I'm running Vista Ult 64bit, 8 GB Ram and 3.5 Ghz quadcore processor. It works and runs fine, this just happens every once in a while and its very annoying. Also happens in dreamweaver, flash, and illustrator. I did reinstall photoshop twice just to make sure that it just wasn't a faulty install but it works and works well. Just besides this UI bug. Drivers have been updated for my gtx260 card, all hardware drivers are good.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI've never asked about this but I've succeeded in doing this many times over the years. I have this habit of flying through my keystrokes and sometimes hit a key or a series of keys causing the entire Tool bar and Window presets to disappear.Â
Until now, I've reset each window to show my actions, history, etc. and re click on Tools in the Window scroll to have them show up again. The question is two-pronged: What am I accidentally hitting on my keyboard to make all these disappear at once and is there a keystroke I can use to bring them all up again?

catalogue seems ok (structure and all, metadata are ok, in the development module memory has been kept of photos adjustment...

Have one problem with dimensions. I can see them on my model, but I cannot see them on the plot!Â
Dimensions layer is OK (it is not "no plot" layer, "VP Freeze" is off), especially that this layer contains some other elements that are visible.Â
I created a drawing in model. Then some how messed up and have two images showing up in landscape view via viewport. So it seems that their are two viewport windows working?

They are in TN state plane and if I close and open the drawing the coordinate system in every single viewport on every single layout resets itself centered about the origin (state plan of this part of TN is around (2210437,238922.) so 0,0 is a long way from there.)
This error can be reproduced simply by saving and opening the drawing again but only in this one single drawing. I have never encountered this before in 12 years. I have done it over and over hoping it would not repeat but it happened again and now I have to redo all of my layouts...again. This is costing me a great deal of time. I am running Civil 3d 2013 and am going to move this drawing back to 2012 in the hopes of stopping this bug.Â

I can't find the viewport panel that was in 2010 in 2013. I have a panel for model space viewports but not paperspace.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have problem in one outside drawing in my office. in layout there are many viewport but viewport border line not appear.
I make all layer ON and unfreeze and unlock also viewport border not shown. Is there any option.
I started a drawing for a project, and so far I don't have much information in the drawing. I created a few objects, then went to one of my Layout pages and created a viewport to view the objects, and bam - some of the lines are missing (the yellow objects). As you can see on the screen grabs, I hovered over the Model tab to prove they're still there. Even when I double-click inside the viewport to edit through it and try to grab the objects, they're apparently gone. But they're not, they show up in the Model tab.
The layer they're on is turned on, thawed, and unlocked, but every object in that layer is missing when I leave the Model tab. I've opened viewports on other Layout pages, and they all refuse to show the yellow lines.
If its possible to have a viewport stay locked on a geometry in model space?
For example- we layout our page geometries in model space and outline them in a VP in paperspace. however say we move the entire drawing in model space- we have to go back and redo every viewport on every page. is there a way to prevent this or stop this from happening?
